I don't understand what is meant by this sentence: *"Using the installers below may prove more difficult than installing the mods I've linked"* can you re explain?
haha, so true I spent so much time modding this game, to make it into my dream game Then I bought and tried Kingdom Come Deliverance, and said to myself: THIS is what I wanted from Skyrim KCD doesn't need mods, it is glorious
How dare you?! I have 3 hours of modded skyrim footage and all you do is complain about the fact that all of these 3 hours are just looking at my porcelain skin charachter's ass!?
I would love to mod my game like this to get me back into it but the sheer volume, mode collisions, diving into files and editing scripts etc, is waaaay too much hassle for me
Modding Skyrim in bulk is probably one of the most frustrating experiences a person can go through, but when the process is done, the end result is so damn gorgeous.
@@vortquake5611 I suggest install MO2 (Mod Organizer 2) it's very simple and I think the most user friendly to understand modding and especially it has automatic download from Nexus

Ah finally. It has taken only 11 years for me to find a modded Skyrim video that lists all the mods, and with links to each one, doesn’t bombard me with ads, doesn’t spend the first 5 minutes telling me to subscribe after showing me the sponsor, isn’t clickbait, with an over-the-top ENB with so much vibrancy that you’d think the game was directed by Disney.
Bless this one. Just came from another video that kept repeating "check mod list in description" and it was just a link to his patreon. Disgusting behavior
Holy freak it look like a totally different game. Its like a remake. This is gold. Masterpiece work right here. Skyrim community is one of the most incredible ones.
You should look up Nolvus modpack ^^ is like an automated installed for almost 2000 mods (including most of the ones in here) which not only makes it look like a new game but also adds tons of new quests, npc's regions, weapons & armors to find. among many other things.
@@MegaDedys nolvus has 2 versions "ultra" which reccommends atleast a 3080ti (i run it on a 3060ti myself and it is fairly smooth with some exceptions) And redux version which runs on cards as low as a 1080ti
I love it when mod community is helping small Indie developers with their Indie titles to really bring out the potential in their games. Such a great community and the mods really do light a new light on this small and , otherwise, unknown title.
When I saw him standing before the Whiterun gate this weird nostalgic feel hit me right up. When I first started playing Skyrim, exploring this whole new world not knowing what around the next corner or what kind of people would await me in this next town/village that I'd enter, it just gave me this certain feel I cannot quite grasp. I feel like I was able to perceive it differently than I do today and just now I got a glimpse of that feel again which was quite bittersweet. If I ever get to play TES6 I dearly hope that I would feel like that again and if so I will cherish it as long as possible. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about but one thing that I so loved in Skyrim was the silence.. You can just stand there in wood or on a mountain or a hill and just take in the environment. It felt so Immersive. Just standing there in the moonlight looking around. No sounds, just taking in the landscape and then one of the soundtracks set in so seamlessly and not at all intrusive. It was fun and it made me feel cozy and so comfortable. Exploring Skyrim on a Saturday night in the dark was like reading a good book infront of the fireplace.
I only started playing this game in 2021 and it's been one of my favorites ever since. Everything about the game, the loading screens, and the music makes it feel like this was supposed to be in my childhood but wasn't. It still made me feel like I was in simpler times either way but that's becuase weed enhances it lol.
@@RAPEDBYBLACKS I always lived close to forestsides and I enjoy winter and snow. These days I would take my dog for a walk around midnight everyday and just watch the stars.
Skyrim is that game that even if you leave for quite some time, you eventually always return to. I think it's by far the single player game where i put most hours in.
back when i had it on hard disk when it first came out, i played it to the point where the disk holding slot itself cracked in several places lol it was still playable for a few more years lmao
I love how tired and worn out Jarl Balgruuf looks considering he'd be under INSANE stress due to the war and of course the dragons. However I really wish there was a mod that adds a unique crown for every Jarl and furthermore a mod that changes the AI of their court wizards so that they stand next to their jarls during the day like real advisors would. Lastly a mod that adds a unique jester and bard for every Jarl would be really awesome as well because they'd absolutely have such servants to provide entertainment for them to alleviate stress. Oh yeah I also remember there being a mod that changes the AI of the Jarl's guards so that the player can't unsheath their blade while in the Jarl's presence as it is considered a crime but unfortunately the mod is pretty buggy ugh. Obviously these are minor additions but combined add insane levels of immersion, I wish I was a mod author so that I could create such mods because at least to me the smaller details matter just as much as the big ones.
I completely agree with you, a mod that could add all that in one big overhaul would be awesome. Really solid ideas, especially the unique crowns. Hopefully a mod author reads your comment and feels inspired haha.
@@CredoRP I also forget about a mod which adds a unique throne to every Jarl as well cause it just further adds to the whole mystique of each kingdom and represents their great histories. Also I'm glad you agree cause at times due to my OCD I feel as if I'm just a little too obsessed with detail LOLXD!!.. Also FYI you should really look into getting the mod I think is called death sounds which enables enemies to let out a death rattle as they pass away which would pair perfectly with your combat mod set up. Honestly I've played with it and it definitely adds to the realism of combat..
@@CredoRP Sorry posting yet another comment but how dope would it be if Ulfric Stormcloak had a bear companion who protected him wherever he went and laid down next to him when he takes up his throne. I mean it always greatly bothered me that even though the Stormcloaks crest is that of a bear none of the Stormcloak forces actually employed them in battle or even use them as sacred animal protectors for royalty and high ranking generals. I can even imagine Stormcloaks and bears sharing a very special connection like the Starks do with dire wolves in game of thrones.
@@Doomseer Yo all good bro! I don't mind your comments. Discussions and ideas are a good thing! I'm all about the details when it comes to modding as well.
Your mods you talked about have been a very big help. I didn't think there was anything better than the Skyland AIO for example. Although not everything was found or worked (some of the Combat Mods like Valhalla, TrueDirection & Precision came up with an error about missing a .dll or an update), but a good majority got loaded no problem. Once again, I thank you for the in depth breakdown of all the mods in your video!
As someone who has put 2000+ hours into this game, I can honestly say 30% of that time was spent mod testing for perfection. What I care about is the work you put into crash prevention, and mod integration. You are the real mvp. #IfYouKnowYouKnow
@@SupremeDouchebaggery Vortex has collections now where you just click install and it downloads however many mods are in there. I've had really good success with it so far; with 300+ mods on at least one of those.
2000+ is all? My brother, I’m a mere gamer and I’ve accumulated over 8000 hours over 4 different Platforms. You are a mere child compared to most Skyrim fans. Do not flaunt 2000 hours like it means jack shit😂 you’re about as rare as a whore at a gas station parking lot
Now THIS is a good video. No bullshit, straight to the point, actually caring for the viewer, high-quality explanation of each thing in the vid and beautifully edited! Thanks dude, and good job! We need more youtubers like you.
The fact that this game came out 11 years ago is unreal. Makes me kinda sad and nostalgic. I almost remember it like yesterday, my dad not letting me play a violent game on remembrance day lol
When i was a kid, i used to spend hours on Skyrim nexus scrolling through all the mods and then taking down notes of all the ones I thought would make Skyrim even better in my little Claire’s fuzzy rainbow journal. I love Skyrim, its been my favorite game since i was 9 years old, and i love mods and the creativity and passion that goes into adding something to the game to make you love it even more. I love this video, you did a amazing job, and i admire your dedication to it. Well done.
Same here I used to have skyrim on xbox and would scour the nexus and watch MxR mods, taking notes of what mods I would download once I could afford or be gifted a gaming PC by my parents 😂
@@porscheguy6972 god I miss MxR Mods, I did the same thing just watching him and ESO hoping that one day I could have a PC of my own and now that I do MxR Mods stopped uploading and ESO has mostly moved on from Skyrim and especially from mod playthroughs.

Out of countless skyrim modding videos this one has the sweet balance between usable modding and going over the top with reflective puddles. Saving for later.
This is an EXTREMELY well-done mod showcase video. The way you’ve edited and explained everything is very clear and understandable, and other people have commented as much, but you’ve really hit it out of the park with the presentation. Even in the combat section alone you got me interested in quite a few of the mods you have (not to mention that smooooth camera… no wonder you recommend it, it’s so nice)! You definitely have me looking to boot up Skyrim again for the first time in months, which I think means you’ve done the job you set out to do! 😆🖤
Wow, a modded skyrim save that doesn't look like the defective child of the witcher and dark souls?? Now THAT'S impressive. Nice work with the modlist my guy.
@@conformistbastard9842 I agree with this. Doesn't look like Elder Scrolls anymore, looks like another CDPR game that they overhyped and released broken and featureless (which could be any of them).
I remember being a kid watching the reveal trailer for this game and thinking, "holy shit games these days are getting so realistic" and now seeing this 11 years later and games today are continuing to improve in graphics is crazy to see.
Watching all this, living vicariously through you. Wishing I had a computer that wouldn’t immediately shit its pants if installing even Half these mods. 🖥 🔥 🤯
@@TheSinsOfAvarice97 The max I can run without the game instantly crash to desktop is around 20 depending on how big the mods are, it’s sad. I want my Skyrim to look like this😢
This just came up in my feed and after atching it, ive come to two decisions; One being, i need to get back into Skyrim And two, this is one of if not the best showcase for modded Skyrim ive seen. Excellent job mate. Im thoroughly impressed 👍
Really appreciate you taking the time to explain the mods in smaller chunks (and what they do generally), it’s very helpful and so much less overwhelming. When I look at some of these massive mod lists, my ADHD kicks in hard and I get so overwhelmed that I just give up on it haha.
I usually hate how heavily modded skyrim looks and feels but this looks incredibly smooth and well-integrated. The gameplay show here made me want to finally play it.
Excellent video, clean and simple. These are what I look for. Really appreciate how you share your mods, at the same time you're not blabbering about useless stuff. Well done :)
@Jeremy G Aw man, welcome! I just bought Skyrim for PC after having owned it for PS3, Xbox One, and Switch, specifically because it occurred to me that I'd only ever used the Xbox mods and that when it was first introduced. I've been modding Morrowind for almost 2 decades and it remains my favorite Elder Scrolls game and modding community, and have modded setups of Daggerfall, Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4, and a few others. It elevates gaming to a whole new level and becomes for many more engaging than actually playing the vanilla games. I highly recommend learning how to mod properly by using Mod Organizer 2 as your frontend and interface; it has a significantly higher learning curve than most others but it implements a virtual folders system while also enabling you to save multiple modded instances of the same game. The virtual folders are obviously distinct from your Skyrim installation, so that you are never actually overwriting or removing anything of the base game, but rather when launching the game from within MO2 you are overriding them. This way, should you make any mistakes, you don't have to painstakingly narrow down your errors or worse, uninstall and reinstall the game. You simply activate or deactivate mods from within MO2 to troubleshoot. It works with mod packages and those with installation executables, can host third party programs such as those that auto-sort your mod load order or run script extenders, can install a mod that reactivates Steam achievements (which running any mod will deactivate otherwise) and launch the game through Steam using the script extender. It also has a highly customizable interface which makes large load orders easy to categorize, shows right away any potential or actual mod conflicts, shows which mods are being partially or entirely overwritten by others, etc. It is a fantastic tool that prevents profound headaches that I learned about the hard way, and is relatively user friendly once you begin to comprehend what you're doing. Just cannot recommend it highly enough. Take care and good luck!
@@WordOfYah I’m telling the truth, this shit is trash. Doesn’t look or act like Skyrim. Might as well make a new game from scratch and it wouldn’t even get close to vanilla Skyrim.
I recommend NordwarUA's unique guard armor mod, a mod that makes every region taste quite different. I recommend his other mods, both for Stormcloaks and Imperials equipment
This is really beautiful, but it does add to my appreciation of art style. I can recognize a Skyrim screenshot just because of the way the trees and rocks look next to a cliff, and I get a nice warm nostalgia feeling. Makes me wonder how looking back on modern games that focus on realism will feel. Hopefully there’ll always be a touch of uniqueness that brings people that feeling of appreciating the past.
I think this modded version is beautiful but I agree, I'd prefer the original. The same can be said for combat overhauls and other gameplay mods, it can kinda feel like a different game. Can't argue that this collection of mods is beautiful and it certainly has its audience though
Dont know if this is youtube compression or what but everything looks muddy. not to mention everything lacks shadow so it looks not good at all. looks like you chose to view "unlit" in unity/ue5 or something.
Watching this video 6 days before Starfield drops I'm amazed at how far Skyrim has come with mods, impressed by the amount of testing it probably took to make this video compilation, and excited to see what the modding community will do to Starfield over the next few years.
They will finish Starfield about 2 years from now, after it gets released half-baked like every other modern AAA title. Then we'll be able to play the real game.
I rarely make comments on youtube videos, but I gotta say, you did an amazing job with the presentation. All "Skyrim with X mods" videos I've seen don't bother explaining which mod does what, they just give a mod list in the description, if that. You made a categorical breakdown, gave alternatives, and kept it simple all the while. I've ran heavy modded skyrim playthroughs, and I know how hard it is to keep it simple and understandable when recommending mods to someone else. Very good work, I wish I could give you more than one like
Thanks bro. I tried to make this video as comprehensive and simple as possible. Most mod videos I see are heavily edited to the point where it's distracting from what they're actually trying to show off. Doing it this way just felt right.
I love how the outside looks during the day, it feels great, not a fan of the dungeons and nighttime though, i think it takes away from the enchanting feel they had originally, but my god, that rain was just jawdropping, so good
I have played on and off since 2012ish.However, I just now started my first fully modded playthrough. It is so refreshing, in some ways it feels like my first time playing again. Especially with so much new content and new quests added. Not even to mention the anniversary edition content that has been added.
@@brandonuzumaki At least with Skyrim, us console peasants can mod the game in peace and get a taste of all the fun. With GTA V, we're stuck with the same almost decade-old story and ridiculous OTT online aspect, with absolutely nothing to spruce it up.
My favorite part of this entire mod is that the dragons talk more. The lore tells us they are sentient literally to the point they enslaved other races before, the mod makes them feel a lot more "actually sentient" and not just dumb flying lizards.
I find it idiotic when people get mad at games for not always looking realistic, but games like fantasy that try to sell a world to you should aim to flesh out the details. Make it like a real livable environment (or not, wasteland). All in all, this is amazing; beautiful work! 🙌
u find idiotic when ppl get mad at not realistic looking features but at the same time u want real livable enviroment, u hear yourself? its same thing, realism is realism the only difference is that u dont have knowledge about aspects u think are trivial, eg every city castle and stronghold in skyrim is unrelistic, almost all weapons look urealistic, and im talking about iron and steel etc. its all about immersion, the less u know the easier it is to achive, but it doesnt mean that its stupid to ask for or get mad if u see so many errors in design that are only ther bc producers didnt have enought knowledge to make them as they should be
@@PLTakeMe You are overcomplicating it. They are talking about when a game gets a bad rap for having "bad graphics". This used to be a big deal, the whole AAA industry were trying to make the most convincing simulation in a realistic style. It got really expensive to make games that way. In the 2000s, BotW would've been lampooned right away for its graphics just like Wind Waker was. I am going on this trip down memory lane because you sound like you are young and weren't around to see it. Nowadays graphics are more commonly stylized and not trying to have a realistic style. But Skyrim is a realistic style game, and TES as a series is one of the deepest simulations in a gaming, even giving NPCs routines to follow as the day/night cycle passes and letting you explore nearly any building. If you are worried that they are talking shit on the game designers, don't be. We should judge the game based on how well it achieves the things it set out to do. And it does them well. It's just hard not to want MORE and that's what the mods are doing! We can all agree Skyrim is an amazing immersive experience with or without mods.
@@noaag tbh ive never found anyone complaining about stylised graphic in games, it is stupid af so if that was what he was saying then i agree, but about vanilla skyrim being immersive? Yes if u are not into medieval, if u know anything about it form castles to weapons skyrim is stylised into goofy realism (as if u could say that fps game where u can destory tank by shooting it with gun is immersive)
@@PLTakeMe Yeah, a lot of realistic type stuff gets left by the wayside when you are trying to make a fun video game. In medieval times, many warriors would be using spears in battle. Spear is OP. No spears are in Skyrim probably because you would end up turtling in fights and it could get boring. Just like how everything is unnaturally close together in the world, but it feels great to explore. I like you described it with "goofy realism" because there is actually a genre called Magical Realism. That's when magic stuff happens in the ordinary world. Elder Scrolls is High Fantasy, though, because it is chock full of magic and fantastical supernatural stuff. So I think you're right that Skyrim more about "immersion" than "realism". Since you seem interested in medieval stuff, I think you should check out Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's a REALISTIC medieval game with no magic or elves or any of that. It plays a lot like Skyrim but with some ineresting twists, like having 5 directions to attack from. You are just a peasant in 1400s Bohemia who gets his village burned by an evil warlord, so you become a knight and seek your revenge. It is fucking awesome!
@@noaag im not talking about magic or weapons types, im talking only about design of existing instances and weapons eg every weapon is too bulky, castles and city are made without any contept of how actual cities and strongholds looked like and why this way, and sometimes its imposible with our physics to build structures like ones in skyrim, and i would be ok with this IF they were made with magic, bo there is no clue or evidece that this was a case
I have never played skyrim in my life but this video came in my recommended ,and out of all the games I've played and videos I've seen of mod showcases, this has got to be THE best one yet. I loved all of your commentary and insight into the mods, it was so well put together, the showcase was so well done. There were points in the video were you weren't saying anything cause I imagine there wasn't anything to be said but I was lowkey missing your commentary lol. Such a good video!
This is your queue to play it. Trust me completely worth it been playing it since 2011 with thousands of hours, yet I still come back. I’ve already sunk another 100 more hours in with my current play through, and I’m still finding new things to discover or learn. The lore is amazing and very immersive as well. Although with it being an 11 year old game the bugs are sometimes annoying, but what bugs annoy make up for it with the bugs that make the game that much more enjoyable. 10/10 must play game I could never recommend it enough. Side note: the mod community is completely insane as you can see from this video and this video doesn’t even scratch the beginning of all the stuff people make.
Once you play it; you'll never be the same (and I mean that). If you choose to, make sure it's on a weekend or have the entire week off. It will very quickly become a religion. Those of use that played it as teenagers treat it as such. Skyrim is the definition of a life that you remember, but didn't actually (physically live). I'm not joking! I literally stay in tip top shape, drink mead out of an ale horn, and eat meat with carrots and mushrooms. Not to mention write by candlelight and meditate on my patio when it's 17F. Skyrim is a freaking religion bro.
This is a whole new game. I played with a lot of mods troughtout the years but this is the first time it actually looks completly different, ofc in a positive way. Great video man!
I just got into modding recently After months of downloading, testing, erasing memory and starting over; I FINALLY have a stable run on my Xbox. It looks similar to this. This is exactly what I’d want my Skyrim to look like. Beautiful build.
I know this is asking alot, but if you were to make a tutorial on setting up your exact mod setup I'd watch it, my mod list never usually goes much higher than probably 10-15 mods so something this large-scale is a bit daunting, but this looks absolutely perfect
Usually videos like these are very basic and don't really impact much. Yours on the other hand I think will get lots of people into modding, cause of how detailed it is and high quality. It's obvious you're an active member of the community rather then some guy you pulled together a bunch of 5 year old graphics mods. Thanks for sharing the hobby!
I like the new addition of high poly vanilla hair and heads for today's skyrim. I've never been a fan of the over-the-top change of certain hair mods. I want to keep that vanilla touch but in 2024+. I recently came back to skyrim. It seems like every other 3 to 5 years, I come back with new mods. It never gets old.
I have just started another playthrough for the first time in maybe 5 or more, on PS4...so looking at this is fuckin unbelievable! How much more immersive it is cannot be overstated. Can't wait to see the new game. And I really ought to get back into PC gaming!
The combat mods you have are so sick. Honestly, the combat in Bethesda games has always been a drawback for me, but seeing this game with the Valhalla style combat makes me want to come back.
@@ommsterlitz1805 I like vanilla combat where you just ignore being slashed with a dagger and demolish bandits with massive strikes from a greatsword. It isn't Skyrim otherwise.
@@tikunhiplaaja631 did you even play the game? just because right clicking and using potions is easier doesn't mean it is the best as it uses alot of potions and if you play alot you will find yourself running out of potions.
