I am 110 years old when there was British rule then I was a young boy & at the time of partition of the subcontinent I was a young married man I learned how to make winnover from kans grass stem in my teenage but because of modern machinery I can't do it. Seeing the decline in importance I got involved in the trade sector in which I also saw good times but due to some losses I became poor so I had to start making winnover again now that the importance of this old winnover It has decreased but I pass my time by making a couple of winnovers a day and selling them
About this product
The sticks used to make Winnover are extracted from a naturally growing grass called kans grass and saccharum spotaneun & Different types of baskets buckets and boxes are also made from kans grass stem
How to make this product?
First of all the craftsman brings a goat skin removes the hair from this skin with the help of a knife when the hair is removed from the entire skin then with another knife he cuts the fine wires of the skin which are used as threads. goes
With this leather thread and kans stem the artisan creates this product by knitting skills
