49:35 was the loading music the first time I ever played NMS. It was beautiful. I appreciate how good I've gotten at the game and my knowledge, but I wish I could forget it all over again and start from the beginning with this song. Just one more time.
It's funny because I realize how this game is filled up with so many different songs and I'm like "there's no way one could have heard all of this in game", but when I'm listening I'm like, "ooh that's the one I love ! -ooh this one ! -ooh that one bit !" ahah And that's the beauty of this game's ost in my opinion. You hear it, you like it, but you don't necessarily realize how "present" it is. Anyway, thanks for sharing this :)
same goes for other games of this type; Minecraft in particular has one of the best soundtracks in gaming history, solely because of how it adds to the ambience of the game without you necessarily realising how present it is, as you put it.
Such a shame they never released much of the in-game ambience in the official soundtrack. By far some of the best music in the game. Thanks for posting!
The in game echo and fade of the standard songs is epic, its lost finding it on youtube or elsewhere, mostly I think because the game itself is an experience along with what's playing in the background
1:46:15 - end, just beautiful.... the music in this game is absolutely fantastic but I've been searching for this particular song for so long :) thanks a lot for the upload! Hope everyone's been enjoying NEXT so far!
-Mega- yeah for me the same, I always have this song in my mind, like in loop. It is difficult to find it but I think that it appears when you change the system and see new planets, when your ship is moving slowly after the jump :)
This is the very first game, in 23 years of my time playing video games where the soundtrack has drawn me closer to a game. It's so peaceful and fits perfectly with mining/ building/ exploration. ❤
I find that No Man's Sky conveys a very unique feeling that is not commonly felt. Its environment, music, and art style blend very nicely to create an atmosphere that is calm yet exciting at the same time. I think the developers did an amazing job at making a game with a true sense of exploration- one that, in a sense, renders No Man's Sky unable to be compared to other games.
The only thing that I can say is just, I'm agree. I've been playing video games since 1988 and for me NMS is one of those games that you will never forget because all what you said; a new experince.
I entered a world, green plains and beaches devoid of anything except birds, I took time wandering around to fill the discoveries, no one will know about them. While the music played I pictured being stuck there in reality billions of miles away from anyone, devoid of a home or purpose and remembered by no one, if you escape you will still never see anyone of your own species, it is a proudly depressing experience
Thank you dude :) If there is no new music I will mix another Vol. anyways. It will be a little bit more difficult not be repetitive but well, I will try. Thanks for your comment!
I kinda hate it after watching first leaked NMS stream, where a dude tried to fly into a star. He was flying for 40 minutes with this tune of 4 notes with floating point errors all over the place. It was insufferable.
I love kpop and have a whole list of songs on spotify that I put under sleep music. Because there are some that give me that feeling of being back in vegas as a little kid. They hold nostalgia. And sure they make me fall asleep. The no mans sky music makes me fall asleep a whole lot quicker. They have the feeling too. Like, air blowing, cuz you can sort of hear it in some of the songs. Idk why but theres something about the sound that puts me to sleep, and put with other sounds oml. It reminds me of the neighborhood park in vegas at sunset, and I'm being taken home after being there. So simply put, these songs have put me to sleep in under 15 minutes and I love it.
I think lot of people here feel the same. For me, listening this music is like a vanishing feeling where, all together, is going nowhere. Thank you for share your words, traveller :)
1:02:20 is the closest to the generated song that always plays in my base after a gravitational storm (My planet is weird). When ever i hear it i stop what i'm doing and hum along the chello parts. I couldn't find this anywhere, so thank you for this. I had no idea even some of the music is procedural until i tried to find this song. its so pretty. NMS music is really unique.
@@lupastance maybe i should try and find a way to record my own version, i had no idea every person has a different soundscape in this game, that's a new concept to me.
@@chimerakait you should!! music in this game is generated proceduraly so, any session, of any user is different. It's because of that I created this mixes 6 years ago, because I want to hear everything. But is interesting how other people have listened different versions of the same song or even songs that other people never hear before. There is an example with this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tw5jxvvZx1c.html created by @thebiddler6907 Imagine how many hours I've play this game meanwhile I'm recording the mixes...a lot... nowadays I've never hear the song from @thebiddler6907 in any of my sessions.
@@lupastance After doing some recordings of my own, i think their are some set tracks that are pre-written loops with various procedural and reactionary added bits added on top that make them unique. I had a lot of fun with one song with a beat tied to how fast my ship was moving.. until i got interrupted by pirates. So they are FAR from pure randomness, sort of like a preset toolbox of boops and beeps. i recorded several that i liked and recognized today. Unfortunately my favorite song wasn't playing, but i DID find some new ones i like. I also discovered their are battle refrains for EVERY song. MORE music to find. The game even remembers previous tracks played and makes battle tracks from some of them as well. So cool
@@luigi95- Outlier has the piano tune that's barely perceptible in the background, and End of the World Sun has some of it too. Since the music is procedurally generated based off of some of the audio bits from the official soundtrack, this exact song doesn't really exist. But the bases are in Outlier and EOTWS.
@@lupastance for me it's like dreaming, it's like for the departure at last for the stars and "good bye earth"... travelling for a long journey to the stars... what a great adventure! :)
@@lupastance ... no turning back, no regrets, just travelling to discover unknown wolrds :)... deeply moving music :) maybe the first men to travel to a distant extra-solar planet someday may do it with this music, or some like this... it would be very cool :)
This part is also in the album made buy 65daysofstatic if you didn’t already know that it’s in the song called nms_atmos_1/false suns if I remember correctly
The thing about no mans sky is that most of its music is made by AI so most in game music doesn't have a name. However there are some core songs that play during different moments that were actually made by 65daysofstatic (no mans sky's main soundtrack development band) such as supermoon and monolyth
I swear, I heard some version of escape velocity on an organ, but never heard it again, do you think it's somewhere on RU-vid or maybe I'm just missing it here on one of these videos?
@@lupastance ok so I was watching my sibling play nms when we heard the organ/music box version of Escape Velocity, and it played just about after they booted up the game
So like once a year, the game will load on a single synth note....really crunchy and overdriven. its like BLAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG and it just goes on and on and on until the game starts. any idea what this song is or have you by chance found it? it rules.
Whos here after the Outlaws update? Sitting on fat loot smoking that Gek Nip and taking in the beauty of an infinite universe. Ive never been more proud of a game to turn around its problems and bring its community back and gain more while still balling out hard with no end in sight. Sean Murray, Hello Games, 65daysofstatic. You are all beautiful bastards
Do you just make these by landing on a planet and turning everything except music off? What about the fast-paced tracks that sound like the music you'd get from fighting sentinels, do you just play in creative and let them shoot you?
Hi! it's more complicated than this. I play a normal game and I clock the time invested with each song. When I have what I want and the minutes that I want I change the place or situation. The music also depends on your moves, is not the same sound when your are looking at the stars than if you focus in a planet; velocity and path changes all of that and, of course, the first song that you hear when you turn on the game determines the rest of the music so, when I'm mixing I start the game 4 or 5 times to have more different songs. And yes! I let them shooting me for a while :) just to have a "complete" song. I hope this info will be useful for you. Thanks for the comment!
That tune is awesome dude, I'm in love too with it. Unfortunately there are no oficial title, sorry man :( The only place that you will find it is when you load the game, in the game selector screen.
@@lupastance False. The reason I asked to begin with is because it plays all the time on my Paradise planet where my base is located. This is a variation of the song.
@@irgeeksauce4165 I don't know so, maybe with the new updates the music algorithm change a bit, but all the times I heard it, it was when I started the game.
ULTRAWIDE UPDATE: It is a variant of Borealis, the first half of the track “Borealis/Contrastellar” from the released soundtrack. It seems this song fits perfectly into Borealis, and you can even hear part of it in the backing track starting at 1.30 in the video I have linked. I’m glad as well to have found where it came from, and I think it’d be cool if someone merged the two versions of the song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i7QBUpbenpw.html
Sigh. Your dire mixing of two different tracks @37:39 is no help in finding a clean version of the pivotal theme, because you have two different tempos clashing. The best version I have found (without non-musician sabotage!) is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qZGZxPEp5Ag.html
I didn't mix those two tracks, I don't mix the tracks I just put them together, one after the other :) Anyway, you have a cleaner version on my channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IpnDCHksejc.html enjoy!
@@lupastance Ambient prelude version of the track I linked. Sadly still not the track with the repeated iconic motif & drums are absent. There is a Reddit about this very track & how it is unnamed, unknown, & not track-listed anywhere. It only seems to exist in its entirely from live recordings. Which is a bummer because this is arguably his best phrase: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qZGZxPEp5Ag.html This riff I mean.
