I think one your channel's greatest qualities is that you dont play stupid music the entire video and you actually capture the raw footage. Keep it up.
Love the +100 EXP walltap lol. You should rip the dash and everything out of one of these things and ziptie the cluster onto the brace behind it if that's possible
Tuning tip no1 on old redblocks: Replace the fan with an electric one. The stock fan almost works like a rev limiter. You can really feel the difference, especially when upgrading the cam for more high rev performance. I'd guess around 10hp worth of power you waste on cooling you don't need. :-) You might need some big washers on the waterpump pulley when you remove the fan, or if possible keep the fan base. Otherwise Its common for the waterpump pulley to break as it can start to flex.
Just did my second event ever at Castrol raceway! Just wanna say your channel is da bomb and your great motivation for drifting. Would love to make it out to BC some time soon.
8 years ago I did my only drift event at Agassiz with nearly new tires at stock psi in an open diff, stock N/A FC3S just to prove it was possible before I started modding. I even had sticky 5th/6th ports for a loss of top end power. I'd say it ran around 120hp and had blown struts from some dick stealing it just before the event. It was pretty sweet to drift the bank on an open diff with low power, though I'd never do it again due to the unnecessary risk of losing drift just because of the diff. I really wonder how hard I could have hucked with a lincoln locker and with baldies + bumped tire pressures like everyone else. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3nGcyjP0UuA.html I watched my video overlayed with another video of built cars with good drivers and we clear the banked section in the same amount of time. So speed wise I was going as fast as the rest (though with low angle and no real smoke!) In the vid I'm also WOT on the straightaway and have to upshift to third on the straight then downshift into 2nd to drift. Manji wasn't gonna happen with those tires. I also did a shift lock drift which was hairy AF, but I told my buddies I'd do it to prove you could so I was committed. Anyway, glad to see the old spot getting some use. Back in my day that wasn't all paved, it was dirt past the gate. After the event I linked above I had a huge green bruise on my right knee + shin from bracing myself against the center console! I actually still have a built drift car, but I started road racing the next year and stopped paying as much attention to drifting around the time the Drift Safari X Drift Union era started falling apart. I also started converting my Skyline for double duty drifting and time attack around the time Formula D went crazy with all 1000+ hp builds, making an FD competitive car unobtanium for me. Those were the days though, when Ian was trying to topple giants in the states.
