But it may also be that those inmates were actually the ones unjustly arrested and put inside due to these protests. I would rather choose to doubt the information put forward by the government than doubt the well educated students protesting for their rights

Of course, as citizens of India, it would be a blow to us if their government changes to one that is not friendly to us. But we are not the ones who are living in that country. Every person wants a better education, house, jobs- overall way of life. And if that could only be achieved through their current anti india slogans, i would still wish them luck. I would rather lay emphasis on peace and happiness than politics.

Ok not a bangladeshi but as a neighbouring country let me explain the reasons for the Protest.(In no way do I support the freeing of the prisoners but I support their reasons for Protest) Imagine dreaming to become a government officer all throught your life, to become Government teachers,lawyers, Officers in various departments and giving your full effort studying for 3 to 4 years and suddenly out of nowhere your deserving seat is given to a guy who did nothing but have a background ( his grandparents served in 1971 war) so he is given a reservation to that particular post which your have been trying for years ... And also women reservation.. Government officers post should be given based on merit and that will benefit a nation not a spoiled nobody who's parents served in a war ( 1971 veterans should be given a lifetime pensions as deserved not their ungrateful offsprings)

This is a lesson for 🇮🇳 students & Youth from 🇧🇩 Students & Youth. They arose against quota/reservations from all socio-economic classes & demanded reforms & meritocracy through a major upheavals. When will this happen in India?? And I request Bangladeshis to maintain peaceful protests maintaining secular nature so that Islamic extremists like BNP-Jamat coalition don't hijack the movement & changes it to an Islamic Jamati coup like Iran. To those who are saying its not a protest but a riot and what is has to do with prison break etc . Till 16th July students protest was peaceful to get a fair chance at the govt. Jobs based on merit but to address this situation PM said that if grandchildren of war veterans of 71 aren't meritorious are all the meritorious students descendents of Razakars (traitors of the 71 war) and also blatantly told a girl who was a descendent of the war veteran of 71 that she got admitted in university because of quota (quota reformation was the basis of the protest) why is she protesting. She got admitted due to quota if she wants a join the protest then she should just cancel her admission and then protest. These said words hit harshly on the students. On 16th of July (probably) the student protests were peaceful but suddenly Satro League (student wing of Awami League) under the protection of the police beat up male and female students involved in the protest making a bloody mess. After that the to demand why protesters blood were shed was in motion and then the protesters for their own safety carried rods and sticks to protect themselves from the attacks of the studen wing of the ruling party who were always under the protection of the police. The students were enraged as the police who are paid by their tax money who were supposed to protect them were protecting the people who were raising arms blunt, sharp and firearms with an intent to kill them. Thus these situations arose. When the internet shut down was on the police used real bullets on the protestors raiding houses at night with the BSL (Bangladesh Satro League) kidnapping, killing etc. thus the situation arose. Now my question would you have sit still if you saw your armed forces your police forces etc shooting your students even you because you exercised your constitutional right which only upset the ruling party?.

Students wanted govt to remove the quota system (reservations in jobs, scholarships etc..) which facilated the realtives of veterans who fought in 1971 war...but it had a hell of loop holes and hence poor and innocent people are suffered...very simple protest but their govt made complete stroll out of it...😢 Any Bangladeshi viewing this am i correct?
This is not student movement. In garv of student movement, they are chanting Boycott India, anti India slogans. How is India related to this? This is nothing but the Hasina sentiment for agreeing to India's demand for railway network through Bangladesh. Bangladesh is pro Islamist nation. The overall situation in Bangladesh is very scary, frustrating and unpredictable! Businesses like mine suffering from a huge financial loss and unbearable stress of losing both the existing clients and prospects! Tech based businesses are now totally out of internet and curfew for most hours made it more difficult to operate! @AsokaTw-mz3lr The whole reason they're protesting is because their studying went to waste after the quota system was brought back. The system had already reserved jobs for people with family members of veterans even if the person themselves didn't go to school for the government job opportunities. That's why they're protesting.
