When you get your chrono working, do this again! On the water jugs, try to hit the lower third of the jug. More energy should be transferred into the water making a more dramatic result!
Never give up, that is some true words of wisdom there. Thanks again for all you do for us to enjoy. Good shooting and gods speed to Heavy Metal crew and family. 👍🇺🇸🎥💪🏽
What do you think a 9mm will do to some pvc plastic we use it at work doing boat upholstery it comes in 4x8 sheets but I have some that are 1x3 left overs if someone cut them down to 1x1 and stack them to see how many it takes to stop different rounds I have 2 different types
I try to support the guys that don't have a bazillion subscribers ! Keep up the good work. And when your channel takes off and you do have a bazillion subs please don't become a snob like many have lol Awesome video ! Down to earth !!! Good info !!!!
@@HeavyMetalGuns update Paul Ammunition you sent was delivered today 👏 my brother very happy. Has difficult time getting Ammunition in Commie Cal. So many B#$LS@%T Anti 2a freedom!🥴🥴👎👎
For defensive use, I prefer 124 grain bullets. Range ammo is usually the 115. 147's I don't mess with much. They were mainly made for suppressed firearms, to keep the bullets subsonic and more quiet.
With those dice, here's a new game for you and Who Tee Who. Shooting shooting craps. Do it just like regular craps, but you're rolling the dice by shooting them. Best thing is, Who Tee Who can't cheat you by giving you crooked bullets.
Hard to make an conclusions, without knowing if powder charges were identical or not. If they were the same; 115 = fastest, 124 = slower and 148 = slowest. Energy = Mass times Velocity squared So changes in velocity would have the most effect on Energy of the bullet. In a 4.5” barrel the 148 should be subsonic and be the quietest using a suppressor. Not sure it would remain subsonic in an 8.5” barrel of a sub gun or pcc gun. Interesting video, a good start in the right direction. Bullet shape may also influence performance in some test. Did you notice any difference in felt recoil?
It's a pity that the Chronograph is not equipped with 'auto off' feature, h'mmmm but on second thought maybe not, I guess. So, I'd like to see a timer device built into these. I'm saying this because you are not the only person who has left his Chronograph turned on. My favorite round weight has always been the 124 grain, why,..... it's been what I started with I guess, and never have seen much need to change. Now bear in mind all I do is shoot targets.
I wanted the Chrono, but I think the 147 was a little high, did not go through the widest part, and the hydraulics would have done more damage, if it were lower.
See you on the next video buddy if you run across a cheap chronograph holler at me or tell Whoo tee Whoo he will get ahold of me I’m looking for one but can’t afford to much. Thanks Paul GOD BLESS
Awesome video bro. I’d like to see you do a penetration test with these 3 rounds and then shoot some watermelons to see the difference between the 3 on the watermelons 🍉
Looked like the back of the 1st 2 jugs cracked open pretty good. Maybe 3rd one didnt cause the shot was a little higher, plus heavier round dont dump its energy as fast. Good shootin
You lose too much velocity with 9mm when you get up to 147 Grain at standard pressure. Probably need +P with 147 grain to get the best out of the higher weights in 9mm.
The 115's always have the most Ft Lbs so I stock up on them for SHTF alot due to that and $$$ but the HP Defensive loads in my CC I'm running the 147 grn HST... I had heard that the New Remmingtons were unreliable but you seem to like yours. Are the rumors untrue or is yours "Pre Freedom Group"???
Ya know what’s crazy-due to my former employment I’m in possession of about a thousand rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124 grain +P. Who would have thought we could never get ammo.
I would like to see you do the same experiment using JHP ammo. Also, fill the water jugs to absolute max so that they "bulge" when capped. Methinks they will "explode" when hit with JHP. Just a suggestion... Also, ballistics101.com/9mm.php
i am surprised about the 147 grain ammo i heard its pretty nasty stuff but the 124 grain +p stuff i use will shatter the jugs i guess there is reason that all the defensive stuff is 124 grain i see that really surprised me great test
