Resin crushed 'velvet' effect tray
I used Platinum Ultra Clear Resin for this gorgeous tray. I also used chameleon pigment powders from Glitter and Crafts 4U.

The bubbles in the velvet coasters makes it look a little like flower up close. The bubbles are the stamens. I love the copper edge even better than the gold. So PRETTY!

A couple years ago I got to go Australia for a week for work. If I ever get back there I will order one and have it shipped to a coworker... save the across the ocean shipping! I love this idea of an insert instead of the plastic ripping as you peel it out of the mold.

That is very cool. How it managed to go from a rusty Goldie tone to purple and green and then while you were pouring the clear on it seem to start to catch on fire is truly amazing. I definitely have to try that powder in my pores. Take care and stay safe!

This stuff got me more interested in making textures work like druzy inserts under coasters and/or trays. I've ordered some of rhe larger fondant texture sheets from Amazon. Bubbles, woodgrain, allegator skin. We will see how these can be made to work in a similar way. I expect I'll have to make blanks from them first. Intriguing stuff. You've done beautiful work and sparked my imagination!
