Amanita muscaria, aka. the Fly Agaric is a fascinating mushroom that has ancient uses. However, people these days are often mistaken as to how to properly use it in their life. Plus, the science was lacking. What does it say? This video is all about that new research.

Psychedelics tend to fix problems at their core, unlike modern medicine which tries to fix the symptoms. This is why psychedelics work great for depression, addiction etc.

I quite agree with you, I sometimes microdose when l'm really depressed and for me it's like having the volume on my rational thoughts/voice turned up a few notches higher than the negative thoughts/voices. Can't wait til these are fully legal and used properly to help people.

Fasting can help a great deal, low carb diet, too. Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers, but some patients may need continued acid reducation medication while fasting. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles as much as 1/3 of all immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses. Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, which destroys them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. I encountered Amanita Muscara in the national forest in N. California on the side of the paved roadway. I only noticed it because it was so huge standing proudly there in a patch of grass. I stopped and got out to investigate, I have picked wild psychedelics before from cow manure, but a different type that I dried and enjoyed. Golden Teacher is the common name for these, and they are usually Cyances which are prolific on manure in spring and summer. I decided to pick this one, it was very mature looking, so I lopped it off and put it in a paper bag after just handling it with my bare hands, not eating or licking it at all. It became slimy after about an hour as I tried to decide what to do with it. I ended up inspecting it for awhile, noticing more and more detail of this beautiful species of mushroom that I have never encountered before moving west. Finally, after some time contemplating nature, I noticed a new feeling had taken over me, and I was in between my primary reality and a strange dreamlike state where I was sightseeing and following my whims to see whatever and wherever I could dream of seeing, like a form of astral projection. It became like a full blown trip, and my visions were imbued with a magical electric light that could best be describes as spectroscopy. I was having some personal troubles with a gang threatening me and stalking me, and it was though I could see their whereabouts and what they were doing. I was able to detach from my present fear of being found, and I was intellectualizing about the nature of things in general as usual, but perhaps even more due to my present frame of mind. Then I think I completely broke with reality, and was in an Alice In Wonderland type of place, with strange animals and even stranger living vegetables, plants and animals as though I was looking at Giuseppe Archimboldo's cartoon rendition of his most famous paintings, being narrated by nature herself. It was very bizarre and lasted a long time, still having some type of flashback revery through my dreams and waking thoughts. Be careful even when touching these mushrooms with your bare hands. The more mature the mushroom, the higher the chances are that you may have a reaction to them.

this exactly matches my experience taking it a couple years ago, after reading a bunch on it online, i deduced that i should put it in an oven for 20 hours at 40 degrees celsius, although i turned it down to 30 degrees celsius once i found out that my oven felt more like 60 degrees celsius after 2 hours. after it was done, i tasted a small cap, and it tasted AMAZING, it was very umami in a very very pleasurable way (orgasmic i would say), the texture was also quite nice. i have always had a bit of a problem starting sleeping, however, the amanita muscaria made me sleep the instant i went to bed, and i slept so amazingly having vivid dreams, and also just feeling amazing when i slept, i also felt so amazing the next day, and i got no bad side effects whatsoever. when i prepared the small cap in the oven, i did put it there with a big cap mushroom, which i intended on trying later, so i put it in a plastic box in the fridge, however it didn't last long, and the next week when i wanted to try it, it had gone bad unfortunately, i was already planning on going for a hunt for this mushroom later this year when it comes in season, however this time i will probably use a dehydrator, which i'll need to buy. nature is amazing!

I hope your not taking fly agaric daily instead of 1-2 beers ,fly agaric got it's name because it was used in the medieval ages to kill flies or make them so high they cant fly anymore, and it is considered a poisonous mushroom and of course a hallucinogen and certainly can be worse for you than 1 or 2 beers a day, especially if you take it a lot, some people can become mentally ill permanently from taking psychedelics, Trust me I know a couple old friends that it happened to.. 1-2 beers a day will not make you an alcoholic, beer only contains like 4% alcohol per beer , Wine is usually around 8% alcohol per glass and even Dr.'s have said that 1 glass of red wine at dinner a day is good for your health and heart... It is simply not enough to make you an alcoholic drinking only 1-2 beers a day.. Alcoholics usually drink at least 6-12 beers a day and some times more... 1 beer only stays in your system for 1 hour and you can barely even feel anything from one beer at all.. It would be the same as if you only smoked 1-2 cigarettes a day, it would not be enough to make you become addicted to cigarettes .... What ever makes you happy though is all that matters, If you don't want to drink a beer don't.. 🥴 🍺

Thank you for combining Amanita Dreamer and Baba Masha's information both. You really do need Dreamers perspective about the two compounds and what they both do to complete the picture, I think that is where Baba Masha's book / study misses the boat. Also Amanita Dreamer now has a book out for anyone interested. Personally I use the tea (made according to the Amanita Dreamer instructions) mainly for anxiety but also for better sleep and it has helped me tremendously. As you say it helps you to listen to your body too, I take it as I need it and some weeks that's more often than others. But it is so good to know there is this medicine there, that I got for free, is not addictive and has hardly any side effects.

I'm still smoking, but I do feel everyday the urge to stop. I'm completing with psilocybin microdoses, and also using a mix of powdered shiitake, reishi, maitake and lion's mane. These last days have been really intense cause I'm at this point where I know what I have to do with my cannabis addiction, and my body still wants to smoke by habit. But at least I can feel I'm on the right path and I'm very confident this will work. Cause when I started, I did not really have the conviction of wanting to quit deep inside, but I knew it would be best after 6 years of smoking cannabis on a daily basis. @@BuckrBill Maybe not for you, but I'm not only talking about physical addiction. Believe it or not, mental addiction to cannabis do exists. Physical addiction also. Not being the case for you doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else. I'm glad for you if you're not addicted to it, but I can tell you I AM addicted to cannabis. I'd be really happy if I could stop just like you from one day to the next, but if I stop smoking I will feel withdrawal symptoms, like sweating, anxiety, irritability, decreasing appetite, restlessness, great difficulties for sleeping... So you tell me, if it's not addiction then what is it ? Some people have to go to rehab for cannabis too, so you're actually lucky if it's not your case. Usually most of my withdrawal symptoms will disappear after 3 days to one week, but it's really hard for me not to smoke for such a "long" period of time. My family can assure you that last time we went on holiday together for 10 days and I couldn't smoke pot, it was absolutely horrible for them. And for me too. Headaches suck. I used to have caffeine withdrawals without knowing it. When adenosine receptors are not blocked anymore and adenosine is too high. This should tell you to sleep but it could be too bad to sleep it over. Try finding the cause instead. Mine was coffee and a bad tooth. And lyme disease maybe but I dont know that. It could be a lack of minerals or vitamins. Lack of good saturated fat and too much of seed oils... Even anger or mental connection with someone. Sometimes solar flares, geomagnetic storms could give me a headache so bad that I threw up. It could be as easy as to take magnesium to calm brain electricity. Or potassium to lower blood pressure. A doctor could fix what is an easy fix. I actually dont know my blood pressure etc. It could be fine twice in a decade when I get it tested and way off when I'm angry at home

Let me tell you. For years and years i had been going through some dark times. Until i came across this video a few months back (have been a long time subscriber) i said to myself i got nothing to lose here. It was peak season for these so i went out and collected a whole bunch of them and started my microdosing. I used amanita dreamers recipe for making a tea and have been using it every day since. i cant deny how much my mood has improved. Anxiety is virtually no more and thus making my days more welcoming instead of the dread before. I would have it once in the morning and then a bit of a bigger dose during the evening before i go to bed. it helps me fall asleep within like 30mins of having it and then in the mornings when i get up. Instead of lazing around, i actually have the urge to get up and want to do things. Or to simply put it. I look forward to my days now where im trying to catch up on all the things i have long delayed or neglected. This mushroom has saved me. Not to mention it beats having to take a 6-8month course of anti depressants which will probably be worst off for you in the end. just go with what nature has provided us with. 🍄🍄

Or maybe because it’s raw they take a big ol trip…. Maybe nothing happens. Just interesting that they only nibble the cap and never eat the whole thing. Anyway I understand humans should not eat it raw.

One problem w/ Muscaria is to differentiate it from A. Pantherina , which is quite a bit more toxic . Pantherina is light brown ,fading to light yellow Unfortunately. Muscaria will also fade to light yellow ( Both have white spots ) Pick you Muscaria when. it is young and bright red . I knew a girl who ate Pantherina by mistake (early 70s ) She was on life support for 4 days , but recovered w/ no problems . She reported that while she was out , she travelled down the nile on a royal barge 6K years ago . Some Trip !!!

Everything is really as you say, and I can confirm. In my case, it saved me from morphine-type addiction, and it has many other benefits, such as complete healing from various types of phobias. For example, phobias of the dark, loneliness, potentially mysterious not defined forms of malicious entities that we cannot see, agoraphobia and many others. It can also be an excellent generator of ideas for art and that effect is the most interesting for me personally because I am a painter, architect and I also write fairy tales and science fiction stories. I would recommend Amanita to everyone who has problems where conventional medicine does not give results, just find out what is your ideal dose and you will get a lot from this mushroom. Among other things, I use it as a monogram on my works, and it is often a subject for paintings on canvas.

Every fall I have pounds of the yellow-orange species growing here under my pine woods. I have picked mushrooms with caps that are 7" across and the entire mushroom weighed a pound. However, I have never dared try them. I have heard that boiling them in 3 boils of water removes the dangerous compounds and makes them edible to use in like soups, stews and frying. In any case, I just mow them over or drive them like a golf ball with my driver. They explode nicely.

I have used this mushroom about 40 times - I have used it raw in high doses and it was very hallucinogenic and in two cases even somewhat psychedelic. It sooths, can cause intense euphoria and elation, a pain killer and brings on sedation and wonderful restorative sleep always with wonderful dreams, dreams that can be so vivid and remarkable upon waking it seems as if the dream was actually a lived experience. It is hard to dose though so you have to mix the mushrooms to homogenize them into a batch then test each and every batch to understand the dosage.

I've done it a few times and when you get the dose right it's a unique and nice experience. I don't recommend picking it yourself unless you're well informed on ID and preparation, in more urban areas it might have chemical contamination from the soil. The after effects are what I was most interested in, it's one thing to be on a drug and "feel good" but for a few days after I'd feel genuinely healthier and I'd use it if I ever got a stubborn cold I needed gone the next day. Other than the psychoactive effect on the GABA receptors it supposedly has antibiotic and antiviral properties, which makes sense considering those compounds are very useful to fungi and the origin of penicillin. People have speculated that it was an important staple of the occult, alchemy, and generally seen as the food of the gods/herb of immortality/philosophers stone. In a less medically developed world it would certainly be a good resource that would seemingly extend the life of the user past normal limits, but personally I think the immortality hype is metaphysical/spiritual in nature. It allows you to have some pretty significant experiences although they're of a different nature than traditional psychedelics. A great entheogen and teacher if the circumstances are right. Still always take it in a controlled and comfortable environment.
