Harappan civilization is not the oldest. It's a last remaining of saraswati civilization. Hindu civilization did not started in Harappan. Hindu civilization existed all over India from at least 12000 years. Kailasha temple in maharashtra is 12000 years old. Hampi in karnataka is 8000 years old. Great danava sages from kerala existed in western ghats at least 12000 years ago.

Seeing the Indian map of the earlier ice age lends credence to Nilesh Oak's theory that Ravana's Lanka was actually near the Maldives where the equator and the original zero longitude passing through Ujjain meets, as is described in the Valmiki Ramayan. Also not only was current day Sri Lanka connected to to the Indian land mass directly in that age but the distance that Hanuman jumped from Mahendragiri hills to Lanka does not equate to 100 yojans if his destination was current day Sri Lanka. But it fits perfectly with a point near Maldives where the equator and original zero longitude meet. Also I myself have read raw translations of Valmiki Ramayan and I was surprised by the accounts of estimation and placement of Ravana's army that Hanuman gives to Lord Rama and the vanar sena after he comes back from Lanka having located Sita. I vividly remember that the North and the North-East side of the Lankan Fort and land mass has a much higher deployment of soldiers for guarding Lanka, while the North-west and west direction have lesser soldiers, with the south having the least amount of soldiers. The logic here was that Ravana's had rightly placed more capable and numerous soldiers in the direction where the nearest land mass was, and by extension the most practical threat of attack could come on Lanka. I though this was strange at the time because if we consider current day Sri Lanka to be the real Ravana's Lanka then most soldiers should have been deployed on the NW and West side as the nearest Indian land mass lay in those directions, while on the NE and east directions it was all sea. But when I heard Nilesh Oaks theory, everything made perfect sense as the nearest land mass from where threat could emanate for Lanka would lay on the NE and North side. This little detail has me convinced that Nilesh Oak may be absolutely right.

I too remember reading a news article way back when I was in high school about this discovery and the carbon dating results coming back as 32000 years old. This figure of 32000 years stuck with me because I was always taught that human civilization was only 5000 years old at that point. Today I know that's far from the truth as there are evidences across civilizations in the world that our civilized inhabitation of this planet is way way older than what we think.

Dwarka can be that old but Mahabharata happened a little over 3000 BCE*. As you can see India was connected to Sri Lanka by land so Ramayana had not happened at the time. Edit: Rāmāyana likely happened somewhere around 5000 BCE cuz before that Sri Lank was connected to India by land. Rām setu is also dated around that time. Some calculations of astronomical data given in Rāmāyana give dates around that time. * = the date is generally credited to calculations by Aryabhatta, locals also talk about similar date in places associated Mahabharata. Tho the archeological findings in 80s don't go beyond "1500 B.C." in Dwarka.

Carbon dating have alot of limitaions. Carbon dating is done for organic and carbon structures only. It can't go beyond 10,000 years.
