Hi Mark- Great MMMB; thank you! Lots of tips and product information. I hope you have a nice start to the week. Be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Mark! 🎄
Thank you, Mark! Great MMMB as always, it was a nice surprise to have my tip featured this morning, I will be hanging my George sketch in my shave den! Hope you and all of the viewers have a wonderful week!
Hi mark - I enjoyed your presentation of my video " spoon Ice trick " with great pleasure - the gift of your comic drawing touched me very much and it adorrns my shave den - Thanks Greetings from Germany Winfried😂
Top Notch 3MB as always-The shave den picture is second to none something you would see in a movie and about doing math in your head and getting the wrong answer- years ago working with my Grandpa he would always say that two heads are better than one even if mine was a cabbage head 😂😂- Have a great day and rest of the week 👍✌️
The Lambda Athena razor is a beautiful shaver. You have to be careful because the Nickel Aluminum Bronze alloy tarnishes easily. I think the stainless version may be the way to go. The razor design is like art. Have a great week.
Wonderful show this week. Great new gear segment. And thank you to marc bagwell on the warning to being careful when buying vintage razors. Thats what worries me, im not an expert on them, and i worry about getting taken. Again, great show.
Andrew, the thing is, there are a lot of great resources online that an help you learn about and discover these great vintage razors.:) It's nice rabbit hole to fall into. Thanks for the nice words.:)
Thanks Mark for your informative and fun Monday Morning show although "down under" it's a Tuesday morning Mailbag that I enjoy over Breakfast. New to DE wet shaving so all your information is great and helpful. All the best to you and your loved ones for the Christmas Season. Neil L.
Neil, thank you so much for tuning in form Oz.:) I guess I should remember to wish you and the other viewers in your neck of the woods a Happy Tuesday!:)
@@ShammasJoseph Agree! Love the Timeless Bronze and it really does get intoean autopilot mode for me. Granted, it may take anew wet shaver a few times to become accustomed to it, but that true of the Drakkant with it's 24 degree angle and also Supply's SE Injector 's 15 Degree angle. Once learned, it becomes second nature.:)
Lol on the Shaving Tip of removing the glue clumps off the blade.. I’ve done that since the beginning. Not due to blade alignment, just due to CDO (that’s OCD with the letters in the proper order🤣)
Thanks to Chris (and David) for bringing up the "blade glue" issue! This is an issue I was gonna take up on Monday Morning Mailbag myself. I've even taken pictures of glue on my blades, on my razors...I hate it! I don't like that it is certainly throwing my alignment off at least a little. I also hate cleaning that gunk off my razor after my shave. It's annoying and I look forward to using razors that don't bother with the glue. I understand that the glue helps the blade not touch the blade paper before use, but I wonder if that trade off is worth it. Cheers! -Scott
Scott, thanks for this input and your perspective. It seems some blades have more blue than others. If I recall correctly, double wrapped blades don't seem to have glue at all. Or have I not been paying closer attention?
Hi Mark, good tip about the glue spots on the blade. I use Astra Greens, and I always wondered why they had to use that stuff! I'll give Chris' tip a shot and let you know.
Great 3MB as always. I should have mentioned that the Lambda Athena SS was a limited offering. Only 25 were made. He does come out with the Bronze Athena and Ares razors every 3-4 months. He may come out with the Stainless Athena again if the demand is there. Both the Ares and the Athena are the best of the best at a reasonable price. If anyone is interested, they should sign up on the waiting list. These razors are never available for sale for any extended period of time. Usually, they are all pre sold from the waiting list.
Hi Mark, I tried the shave tip. I gently wiped off the glue from a blade before placing it in the razor. I think it did make a difference in the alignment of the blade. Thanks for the tip!
On the Timeless Bronze Razor. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it before. On the side end cap the signature (imo) look of the Timeless base plate and cap (almost forms a T) isn’t there.. on the Bronze edition, it’s just “solid”. Curious what the difference is🤷🏼♂️ and the Aluminum is solid as well😳
About the 20oz vs 30oz bowls and the silicon insert. If you bought the 20oz bowl, couldn't you buy the 30oz insert and cut it to fit? It's just silicon. Are the suction cups all around the bottom or just the outer edges?
Good Monday Morning, Mark!! Brilliant Shaving Tip this morning!! I never would have thought that little bit of adhesive would actually throw off the blade alignment. Big THANK YOU to @WallyPankowski-wd8gb for his review of the Athena SS razor!!! Excellent review, Wally!!! Thank you so much, Mark, for all the work you put into making these videos for your subscribers!! Wishing you and your subscribers a very Merry Christmas and Hanukkah!!!!
@WallyPankowski-wd8gb thank you Wally! I will be more than happy to send you stuff! Just let me know how to reach you. I am on Facebook as well! Have a great day!😊
Hi Mark, I used the Laser ultra together with my razorock MJ 90 A on the 3rd of November this year - for me was the shave "Gillette blade like" smooth and sharp. It was a comfortable shave - I rated it 9-9,5/10. I had no 2nd use yet - so I can only write down my first use experience - got 1 blade of it in my variaty pack of 163 blades by razor blades club - but it is one of the better blades - ymmv. Have a great Holiday all. Greetings from Germany Christian
Christian, thanks for this feedback! If the blade has a Gillette-like feel, it may be a good candidate to replace some of the Russian Gillette blades.:) Merry Christmas!
