I find myself watching this over and over again. It's odd because I'd never heard this song before and I'm not really a fan of The Strokes. There's an aesthetic about this whole thing that's so pleasing and endearing. I hope these girls find the success they deserve. They're truly gems.
It makes me so happy but also reminds me of the the strokes cover that I couldnt hear the bass. The bass' sound plays in my mind but not from video. Love this cover though!

@Bibibytes _ They're not as popular as they were 20 years ago but they're not in obscurity. Also, they only released their first album in like 5 years in 2020.
I live in Portugal. They are popular for people who like this genre. In my case, I've known them for many years but this last year I have increased my knowledge of them considerably because of this RU-vid channel. Anyway, here the mainstream music is also trash (in my opinion) but it doesn't stop me from listening to great stuff. Don't let it stop you either. Greetings from a fellow music lover 😄

After finding this video a few days ago, I found myself listening to it minimally once a day. It calms me down and de-stresses my hectic mind. The recording is raw, but not crude sounding. It's mellow, but maintains a high spirit. Perfect cover for use in an indie movie or something of that nature. Also excited to find out they'll be playing in NY in a few days which I'll be attending! Este vídeo me apareceu por acaso no RU-vid, e me trouxe várias memórias. Me fez lembrar do quanto é gostoso ser adolescente e saber tocar um instrumento musical; do quanto isso faz bem a nós. Do quanto é gostoso compartilhar a execução musical com amigos despretensiosamente. Do quanto é bom pegar um violão vagabundinho com cordas de nylon e tocar as músicas enchendo-as de power chords (era impressionante, qualquer música se resolvia com eles) e também do quanto era difícil encontrar um baixista para montar uma banda rsrs Parabéns!!!
