someone never played Ark before.. the hunt for the perfect stats, then breeding those into a single dino pair, then breeding that pair for mutations, then breeding a ton of your maxed dinos into battleready ones, and raising those by fighting other dinos just to max level them and be able to fight the alpha bossfights. make them even stronger, the need to feed both you and your dinos, the grind for resources for powers, shields, buildmats & ammo through lower ranked dino harvesting, bossfights and gathering.. i'm over 10.000 hrs in and i'm no exception
I'm about 600 hours into Odyssey and I don't find it grindy at all. "Grinding" involves putting constant effort to master the game. But I just enjoy the gameplay, I'll get better skills and gear as I play anyway. I enjoy taking my time in clearing a base without alerting anybody. I enjoy the conquest battles, the sailing, the world, the mythology, you name it. It also helps not to be too nitpicky about the name "Assassin's Creed" since at its core Odyssey is simply a solid adventure.
idk what your talking odyssey is EXTREMLY grindy,for xp,for gold,for mats,it released this way on purpose so you felt inclined to buy from the store,its a single player game trying to be a live service with a shop,its the most ville kind of game out there
@@deenman23 He has a point. You can enjoy Odyssey completely with hardly any grinding most of the titime. There's a few moments during the base game where you need to do a few side quests but it's not that bad. I can walk around Odyssey for hours and just do what I want in it.
Yeah you just roam around the map and have fun and enjoy the sight of ancient greece, same with AC origins, I'm not sure I enjoy AC mechanics or gameplay that much, but one thing I sure enjoy is how ancient culture is represented there, it's basically a dream I don't wanna wake up from@@ac_nerd9794
@@keylorv1533 kinda, but I was thinking about the systems of the game itself. You have to basically multitask, there is ki management, posture changing, learn enemy’s patterns, know your own combos and combo enders, Yokai abilities, etc. That’s literally complicated lol
@@ZKForbiddenParadise Yeah, it is complicated but once you get used to, is pretty enjoyable, in my experience.. I played with 2 more friends, that had never play any soulslike before, and they learn some basics about all of what you describe. However yeah, its not a game for everyone

Veterans would be more than happy to help you. Sometimes you can get very good stuff if you stick together with them. Just believe me and you are not gonna regret
For me it was Warframe. Most addictive game I've ever played. That game is so much fun if it's your style, and you can do it all free. It's the only game where I bought game stuff with real money without any intent to use - just to support continued development of the game.
For Warframe I can tell you from the get-go that this game does not require you to pay anything, the platinum in the game is well within anyone's reach, the only issue is that we have to use a 3rd party marketplace to do so (if you google it you will find it) which makes it very convenient to get trades and check prices. At the very least you will be able to get the slots you need with that currency and even perhaps unowned parts. Anything really, mods and so on. The grind is honestly not that much, and it is very organic, there are many things to do and many ways to earn player currency. The devs also make sure to update the game and expand it in a steady pace (its not too slow nor too fast, it is also very random, and they keep adding stuff) Which means the game is already having a lot of content, and nothing is really considered end-end game per se, its just different stuff for the most part, the builds can be different, usually 2-3 variations and the items can also play differently, the game uses an elements system which uses modern elements. Graphics and Style are definately weird and clay-ish. The only unique thing you will get from paying will be premium accessories and thats pretty much it, the main purpose is to support the game's development an sustainance. Overall worth it.
I'm a little over 360 hours in and I've loved every second of it. The emotion portrayed when kassandra finds phoebe dead genuinely put a lump in my throat 😔, the voice acting and facial expressions are absolutely incredible.
Skiping side quests in Odyssey is such a mistake in my opinion. The most hype points in that game have nothing to do with the Cult storyline. Mythological creatures are so well done in the game and finding them organically by exploring is so satisfying.
You didn't mention Remnant 2. Random world generation and different version of every world, not every location present in generated world, then needed perfect RNG to roll perfect world instances to use quest items on different worlds, going through toughest difficulty to unlock some weapons....This is just insane if you wanna get some items for your build.
Oldschool Runescape is possibly the grindiest game of all time. I once spent over 600 hours killing a boss called the corporeal beast in OSRS without getting a single rare drop, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg :p MMORPGs are in a league of there own for grindy games, and OSRS is very possibly at the top of that list as the gridiest of them all.
A couple notes for elite:dangerous...... the game is overwhelming for players on keyboard/mouse or gamepads. on PC you might get along better making use of Voice Attack ( a speech recognition software that makes use of voice commands for game and software control, free for basic features, very cheap for full version, voice profiles can be found for free and save you all the voice commands recording), but the best experience is if you able to get a HOTAS setup (Hands-On Throtle and Stick) or dual joysticks, simply because the game has literaly near a hundred of keybinds for loads of game controls. And, if you own a VR headset, despite not being fully perfect, the game in vr is simply astonishing with a very natural feel of depth and size....... it can be grindy if you pursuit a specific goal, but it also provides different gameplay options. when you get tired of grinding materials or reputation or any other thing, you can just move to other thing. you can mine, trade, hunt pirates, transport civilians, hunt the alien race (needs a decent ship and equipment for this one), go on a fott shooter mission, or plain and simply just explore the space. As of 2020, developer data revealed that the game map, inspired in real and approximated location of our own milky way galaxy, with billions of planets and stars to explore, has since launch only been uncovered by 0.08%. The only downfall for new players on elite, is that the game has so much to do that can be overwhelming and make newcomers quit, and it doesnt really have an in-depth tutorial about stuff, only tells how to pilot your ship and the FPS part, but not much more, so you gotta rely on websites and discords of other "factions" (sort of ingame guilds, but dont have anything controllable ingame) to get a more dedicated help. However, if you are the kind of person that likes to explore a game map to the smallest pebble, then elite is a game for you, with so many star systems to explore, planets where you can land your ship (you actaully pilot the ship from space to ground, not a cutscene showing the ship landing), walk around or drive a buggy on planet surface and scan some plants........i think it will make an explorer happy. Sidenote, all on foot actions apart of station wal, will require the Odyssey DLC (for fps combat, on foot planet walk exploration, etc)
also, the game exists for console, BUT development for console has been suspended. the game relies now on 2 kinds of servers, the "live servers that keep the pc version updated, and the "legacy" servers that you can access on pc also, but are not updated anymore with game info for consoles, keeping the game active on consoles still. You are required to be connected online even if you play solo, as all the planet locations compared to real life rotation/movement, the market prices, the exploration discoveries and other game data are all processed online and updated to all players. the separation between live and legacy servers was needed for console players to keep playing the game, since the live servers get more data from new aditions and new events on pc which arent available on console anymore.
Terraria would be a good recommendation , even if the game is very boss fight focused. The amount of time I've spent farming better gear sets makes it a definite grind. Plus the game has so many mods that each play through is different.
@@DcullyJust looked up the game on steam, looks like my kind of game, survival but with a lot more than just surviving, recruitment of helpers to work on your base and tribe and fight along side you in epic battles looks nice. Hopefully it comes to consoles as I don’t have a proper PC rig yet.
Be careful though 😂 when you start to understand game a bit it is hard to put down. It may be my favourite single player game at the moment. So many interesting and original ideas. Definitely worth trying but be aware that you will die ... a lot ... and unfair 😅. You will get Noited.
Hypixel skyblock is litterally the most grindy game ever created imo. I mean imagine having to constantly press 2 buttons for 1000 plus hours just to max out just the farming aspect of the game with there being ZERO stimulation.
Besides the two games being different genres, arpg to mmo rpg, I would have to disagree. Only on the surface does ESO seem deeper in customization and with bullshit nerfs taking place before, during, and after every chapter they release Zenimax nuke good builds to push chapter sales. ESO does have a ton of content though, its just a shame that 90 precent of it is mind numbingly easy.
