I feel grooming and fit is more important than what you wear. An Ill fitting Tom Ford suit will look worse than a great fitting cheap suit. Four additional things. 1. Posture and poise: sit up straight and have an attentive and a confident posture. Body language is often overlooked. 2. Smell nice: doesn't matter how expensive your clothes are if you smell bad. 3. Make sure your clothes are clean and don't look worn. Invest in a fabric shaver to make your older sweaters look good and a lint remover. 4. Invest in clothes that fits your age and the image you want to project. If you want to look like James Bond, don't wear large label clothes and hypebeast brands all over your body. The classics often last the longest.
5. Be physically fit and have a flat stomach. You can't polish a turd. Inexpensive clothes on a nice body will look 100x better than expensive clothes on a flabby or fat body.
I'm a disabled retired Vet and 90% of my clothes are from thrift stores. I bought a Burberry trench for 10$ and Ferragamo shoes for 20$ and the shoes were brand new. Those are just 2 bangers I found.
My brother...you just gave away my secret of 25 years. I’ve been mixing high and low end fashion since I was in my mid 20’s. It is a great thing do to at home and while dressing for the office or going out. You can look like million bucks without breaking the bank. Great video. Thank you for your fine work. Happy holidays and hope you have a great new year. Stay safe outside.
Monochromatic style was something I've always done, I didn't know there was a term for it. Once again great tips I stepped up my shoe game from your suggestion. Camel colored items next on my list. Waiting for the best of video. My all time favorite channel.
I too agree on the color Camel I have a overcoat which gets many compliments, my next look will be purchasing a Cream or Off White Dinner/Tuxedo Double Breasted Blazer.
Salute O.G.! Great points for everyone that want to look great with quality. I personally stand by this rule...Tailoring my life affordability. I don't keep up with trends...it takes time to develop your own style and style is forever. Thank you O.G. for another great video, like always. And to anyone who reads this comment help the channel grow we should support channels like this because nowadays men don't even dress like men, in fact, we have men in there late 30's earl 40 dressing like young boys. Salute!
As always OG dropping knowledge.. Some of these things I've been doing for years.. like the shoes and watch. Always a good way to set the tone yadigg. 💯
Great tips. I use to live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a very affluent city. I would shop at second-hand stores searching for high-end clothes at low prices. Once I came across a cashmere blazer for five dollars, after ten years of wear it's still catching the ladies' eye.
I agree on all 12 points. I would like to add a post script. Sticking with one designer/brand. When you know how the sizes are going to fit, it makes shopping a lot easier.
what a difference you have made in my life, women who i know who wouldnt give me the time of day all of sudden seam more interested in me and ive only just begun and unlike luke skywalker im not racing out using what little i have learnt . im staying to complete my training to be the most complete man i can be and the rest will follow . thankyou grand master yoda of style
I really like the channel! Cause, I grew up dressing nice. And I didn’t have to spend a whole lot. My mother showed me how you can low cost jeans or top. The shoes are what you spend money on. U are so right! And to this day I still like to dress nice. I don’t do that snagging ! At all! And always keep the hair and beard on point. Shirt tucked and belt.
The OG strikes AGAIN!!!! I’m not gon lie, I am the type to spend money on designer but after tuned in to your channel, I’ve been dressing different. More mature and for way lesser price. 💯🔥💪🏼💪🏼💫💫💫💫💫
what's up Jeff Donald from Cincinnati checking in once again you are on point enjoy watching your show and you give great advice keep up the great work and as always Salute
Great style tips to look expensive at a cost-effective nature Jeff!🙌🏽😎 Even if your grooming isn't on point, people will notice but very few will tell you directly.
Jeff I gotta tell you that your content on men's fashion is some of the best available on RU-vid. Everything you push out to the public is well-researched and endlessly valuable. Keep up the good work.
I agree with the overcoat. I have this bespoke Royal Blue overcoat with contrasting velvet collars and it always draws attention but surprisingly a great conversation starter. Since it is rather rare to see a Royal Blue overcoat, usually people would wear black, navy, grey, or brown at least for men.
Bruh, that revelation at 2:26..."they assume the other pieces are expensive as well..." I literally laughed out loud. BRILLIANT and Incredibly helpful. Much respect and appreciation, sir! New fan here. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Found someone dishing out the same style I wish I had been given to me at an early age. I had to go through trial and error. I’m now someone that gives this exact advice out to others.
Jeff that was an amazing video a lot of the things you talked about I’m already doing but some of the things you talked about I will start doing.Thank you so much for all you do for all us guy’s you help keep us on point with our clothes and the way we think about ourselves Merry Christmas
Since I have begun watching this channel....about 7 months ago...I have almost got all the pieces you suggested for upgrading my wardrobe. I thought that I was stylish before but you took me to another level My G. Many Thanks🙏🏾
This is something that I have been doing for a while. My go-to wardrobe routine is to wear simple, subtle colours and even a simple pair of clean shoes or sneakers added with a blazer can look classy. The navy blazer is a necessity, it can make a big difference.
You told the truth about an elevated piece, the Navy Blazer and grooming. Great stying tips and advice on looking expensive good Sir! Please keep putting in that work...
Your advice about getting something tailored is right on point. I had a favorite shirt I wore often. One day I decided to have it tailored and wow! It looked even better and the women’s response made it obvious that I looked good.
I found your page yesterday and I'm glad I did. Man, I been on your page the whole day. I definitely need to get my gear together. You're a true life coach brah. Major props!!!
O.G. I have a question? Can you do a topic on how to keep your jacket/coat collar stay up and not folded? I like to wear my jacket collar in the up position sometimes and I’m sure you have great ideas to how to keep it staying up and not fold on me. Appreciate! Great channel big bro!
Bro I want to honestly say thank you your videos really have helped me in the last few years with improving my style feeling better about myself and my overall confidence salute style O.G
Another great video. I just purchased a few coats this Winter to replace my old beat up ones. I was thinking the same about what you said in the video. The new coats alone elevated my look tremendously. A nice coat, and great shoes are the key. I agree that a watch and shades are icing on the cake. The dark denim is the bomb too. So many great tips in this video. I love it!
Style O.G. really reminds me of my Pops! He always dresses fly but not all his pieces are expensive unless him and my Mom are stepping out together. Great tips man! Happy holidays!
Style O.G. Thanks for your vids. Been a fan for quite sometime now. Its guys like you that have helped to reinvent myself in a much better way! One of the tips I recommend is to search thrift stores. I find so much good quality lightly used clothing for pennies on the dollar. Now of course, its a thrift store and there is more junk than good stuff, But the good stuff IS there.
Thank you OG! On point as usual. Can you do a video on what casual wears to tailor? I’m that guy that wouldn’t think to pay attention to that side of my wardrobe. Again appreciate your work. Salute.
😆👌Apart from the fact that once you post a video I pause everything else I love the fact that you don’t deviate from your kind of content. Everyone has a niche in RU-vid. 🤗Thanks for not confusing us.
Great video! My buddy will wear jeans and a tee shirt then toss on his Omega watch. Looked kind of odd but it literally made his outfit look better. Crazy. Lol
