The team is allowed to resume the match when no members of the opposing team are in their half. That is the only rule.

Steve Taylor Law 12 of the game: “Players can celebrate when a goal is scored, but the celebration must not be excessive; choreographed celebrations are not encouraged and must not cause excessive time-wasting.” If you ever actually watch football, you’ll find that they celebrated here is NOT excessive. Law 5 of the game: “The referee supervises and/or indicates the restart of play” From what we can tell in the video the referee did not indicate the restart of play Thus, the goal should have been disallowed, Mr. Inventor of the game.

No no I wouldn’t. I don’t think most would either. Played sports my whole life. 8 years old through college. Never ever once celebrated before I scored. If I was a coach I would absolutely lose my shit over one of my players doing this. There is never an excuse to do this.

@@David8n You're definitely right about it being snooker, it was at the Crucible, which is a venue in Sheffield, England it hosts the World Snooker Championships every year. That was a clip from about three years ago (iirc).

Actually to explain more about kicking the volleyball a bit more: Unless its been changed you can pretty much use your whole body to return the ball and it'll be a legal hit. So conceivably you could bicycle kick the ball back or head butt it, etc.

It was not offsides. The reds should've reviewed this goal. He didn't touch the ball until the white jersey player was in front of him. This just goes to show how bad reds can be at times.

that's not pool, that's snooker which is entirely different from pool. the scratch on the black ball didnt result in a loss he was just deducted points and the next frame would have been started by his opponent instead of him

Actually, the goal that Manchester United scored against Liverpool was mistakenly awarded. The ball did leave the field, bouncing back in off of a support structure. In football the ball does not have to touch the ground to be out, it only has to be over the line. The ball went over the line, and should have been out.

Your description of Mark Allen's snooker defeat shows a lack of research. He was 6-9 down in frames in a first to 10 match. He celebrated potting the black and getting back to 7-9. However, the white going in meant he lost the match 6-10. You also don't know the difference between snooker and pool. What the hell does "in no case can get into the pocket." even mean.

The Liverpool GK was right, the ball was out, but because of these stupidly designed goals it bounced back to the play from the bar SUPPORTING the main bar. Usually, there are no other bars than the main ones and little ones on the ground holding the net, so the ball would just fall onto the net and would not jump back into play as in this case. Just look closely and you'll see that it did not bounce off of the main bar. From the angle the ball was falling, it would be also impossible. 😅
