12 Beginner Mistakes to Avoid in Harvestella - Tips & Tricks 

Instead of vegetables, one can also put Cool Berries in the fermenter, getting berry juice. It restores almost as much HP as the vegetable one, and the berries are just free to pick up.

I find that that you can actually pass out inside your house with no negatives. I still woke up at 6 and kept my money. So I cooked and crafted pass the point whenever I needed to.

One big addition to the Job Points tip is that you gain Job Points for every job you have equipped even if you're not actively using it. So let's say you like the Shadow Assassin job and use it all the time. It's still worth equipping, for example, Mage and Fighter too because even if you never actively switch to them they'll still gain job points (and chances are you'll eventually start running into enemies where those levels in Mage or Fighter might come in handy).

Regarding feed, high quality ingredients make more than their regular variety. Also, In addition to grass you can use the leaves you find to make woolum feed

I'd also say to get through the first two chapters quickly. Then in chapter 3 go to Nemea first. Many seeds you can buy there only grow in spring. The crops you can get from these seeds are also needed for the food delivery quests. Otherwise you'd have to wait a whole year.

I would add to upgrade your weapons and your party member weapons. It makes a big difference in the battles also.

Man, the doctor fee.... yeah best not to make collapsing a habit because she likes to add on to her fees. At the moment I'm paying 1k+ every time I pass out from either battle or I didn't get inside the house in time. The only thing I can say for that is that it at least gives a warning if you're about to pass out. Like the screen starts to get shrouded in darkness, you don't even have to make it to the bed, as long as you made it inside your house it doesn't count as collapsing. I had a fun run where I barely made it, I used the bell, it teleported me and I passed out as soon as I got there. Can't get charged if the doctor don't know~ it doesn’t even matter if you don't have enough, she'll take every cent you got on you... And I had a bit of a learning curve with the drinks mechanic, and I ended up going against a big boss with no stamina and a handful of drinks, I then learned that your allies won't attack if you don't, but if you keep pressing the attack button they'll attack even if you can't. Ended up becoming a starving healer for my party against a boss.

I'm in season 2, so far 5 of each crop has been plenty for me since I get by just fine in fights with the juices and the recipe that only requires wild ingredients. The onions are the best crop to sell early game, you'll make a lot that way. That's how I was able to afford everything lmao.

You work so hard Josh, I felt bad for asking for more Doraemon stream but you did it anyway and I hope you take enough time off to pamper yourself because you deserve it 😭

My personal tips: - Don't sell crops and fruit at all. Later on cooking becomes a lot easier and you can make around 6.5k per dish that takes 40mins to prepare - Focus on the side quests. They give a substantial amount of grilla and will actually allow you to upgrade your farm and pens on stable rate for the first few levels. - Get and upgrade your Cluffowl and Woolum up to snuff as fast as you can. It's pretty good money early on. - Mountain stir fry's are your friend. Easy to make and you have easy access to them. You can get the materials on your farm and infront of the final teleport in high canyon. - Don't buy seeds. Just go into any area and kill stuff. They tend to drop a lot of seeds, especially goblins. You also get seeds from side quests. So until you have that "passive" income just get your stuff from killing things. The main focus of the game is combat anyway. - If you do want to sell your "hard earned" farm work, make sure to not do it until you can make the lv3 processing items. Like for 1lvl fermentil 1 fruit/veggie = 1 juice, lv2 9 fruit/veggie = 9 juice and lv3 25 fruit/veggie = 36 juice.

Honestly your note wbout the job points is something I always struggle to remember in games with combat haha. the stamina does go up on its own, but just slower. Also don't eat before sleep as that's a waist as you get full health and stamina as you start the next day

A lot make the mistake of rushing through when suppose to take your time. Do a little farming, explore and forage return and do some more next day. Not suppose to eat late at night anyways as can cause nightmares. The demo was too short to do everything. I heard the tree saplings are only thing unaffected by quietus. Thanks for useful tips.

The juice tip was very much appreciated I'd been neglecting making any cause of the no stamina.

Regarding juice, it's better to stick to one variety, since you stack them up with only one slot, and backpack slots will always valuable, especially early game. I reccomend Berry Juice, since the berries are free to pick, just do 1 round of teleporting in your farm and you'll get plenty each day.

Dunno if this counts as a tip/trick but the dialog choice don't matter. You don't get quest or affinity bonuses or penalties for picking lines. The NPCs might give you a snarky "you should've picked the other dialog option" comment, but apart from the final chapter, they're just for characterization purposes.

do plant hops in summer, 18/9 plants. use fermentation machine lvl 2 on the hops and you'll get hop juice it sells quite a lot i think

Fire and earth unlocks cave biome Wind(Nemea) and water unlocks waterside biome Also during Quietus at the end of each season the well will light up to enable you to go into another dungeon type area which will have fishing areas to find fish you will need for other recipes you trade in. To avoid giving out spoilers I only listed the location of 1 of the other 3 fairies that you find doing chapter 3. Also if you buy the mount for map travel get the food for it because it upgrades it. I waited till it wasn’t as useful to get to do that and if I hadn’t it would’ve been so much easier and better

Thanks for the tips josh, one thing that bothers me is how little we harvest per crop, like we plant a bag of carrop seed into the patch and we clearly see 4 in the ground but we only get 1 veg. Makes money making a bit of a pain.

For food, check your mail! Cres sends you lots of sandwiches the first few days! I got them all way later because I ignored the mailbox

The only thing I didn't know was that you can drink juice on a full stomach. I usually don't eat anything until I'm low on HP or stamina.

Ive noticed the game really wants you to sell your crops more than your materials or crafted items (just from my time in the demo)

best thing if you can do it early plent trees at the 1st day of a season and selling cooked meales, sugar and jam is a really good way to make money fast and in nemea are carrots cheaper so the profit is higher and in mid and summer there is no better way making money with tomatoes 170 to get a seed and amount is in a season 7 tomatoes in a seed with 75 - 85 per pcs on lvl 5 or 6 farm you can make easy 20k per day so. fences is a waste of space. Better use for crops. mushroom cup is best for meal and selling sandwiches with 250 is good. Coconut best place in mid it dont destroy by silentium. get as fast as you can get to every city to get all possible seads and end seeding at harvest one day before silentium. Delivering meals is also a good way to get more money and make a lot of quests and dont haste. you have as much time as you want.

My first attempt at a playthrough, I only made it to toward the end of Chapter 4 and I figured I'd made a lot of mistakes due to not adequately understanding ways in which the game worked that weren't intuitive to me. So when I lost the boss fight of Chapter 4, it was too jarring to me that I still just woke up the next morning as though I'd passed out, given what was going ON with that boss fight. One of the biggest mistakes I made was assuming that you automatically passed out the MOMENT the clock hit midnight, due to how the game guide phrased it. So, I lost QUITE a lot of time over the two seasons in which I'd played by virtue of going to sleep before midnight, sometimes as early as like 10. I'd like to solicit help here for potentially another. I've heard some stuff about other players actually doing things during Quietus? Like, every person in the game says going outside during it is a HORRIBLE idea and while my character wasn't apparently affected by it in the very beginning, I didn't consider that enough reason to believe that there definitely wouldn't be negative consequences if I went out during it in gameplay. Was I too presumptuous here, too?

With the myster store the second item for me was an accessory ring. Think it was for magic? For the third which I haven't reached yet it says a item synthesiser.

Playing this game I think a lot of it is self explanatory and intuitive to figure out. One thing I haven't paid attention to is my character being hungry, I literally only feed them to fill health bar and for buffs, stomach is alway empty lol. Not noticed that it had any real effect on anything tbh.

Please someone tell me how do I open the backpack fast ? I press ESC and then E to backpack but there must be a faster way.

I actually just got the game myself, in the middle of chapter 3 (I didn't carry over my demo save data). Managed to get it for $30. I like it, but I also often find myself thinking that Rune Factory is better. Hopefully it gets a sequel or spiritual successor that improves on it. As for the job, Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favorite games of all time, so that hasn't been an issue, heh.

For character creation, I didn’t realize how similar the top options for the female model is to the male. And they’re basically the same lol. So I went with a girl but her body is the male’s asset. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me that much but once you notice, you can’t unsee it.

It's a shame that the Tomatoes and Eggplants dissappear after a certain amount of harvesting. That is a waste of money and time. But I still love this game.

Above all: DO NOT WAIT TO SELL. The sooner you make money, the sooner you can reinvest that money into fields or seeds, gaining you even more money for the future. Yes, some late-game items may be better, whether it's a better processor or better seed or better meal, but more money NOW means you can use those things even more when you get them.

Doesn’t even show me where the fishing rod is, I cleared out my crop area but now it won’t let me do anything, low cash, constantly run out of stamina during the aria beginning quest. This game is awful.

First mistake is buying it for the switch, when it probably comes out for the PS5 in a year like most of these games. I want my trophies, waaah. :_:

How are people supposed to grow the whole farm early on, you get barely any seeds from loot and they cost money, and you want us to grow +30 crops early on, that means all your income, you can't upgrade your gear, farm and house. Honestly, grow the farm as demand increases, don't waste all your time and money to get a big farm early on. This the type of game you supposed to take things slowly and not have everything early on, is simply bad advice to tell people to think big early on, as they will be limited on multiple levels, worst, you want us to hoard the crops, which means no money. You won't be buying any kitchen nor fishing any time soon if you hoarding crops early on.

Better still .just avoid the game. Therea better out there

How to get me not to buy a game in 40 seconds

1st mistake is buying it on a Switch... just found out its on Steam too... hopefully that means the real consoles will see it soon too... Cuz Switch is kinda garbage... all its good for are the Zeldas and thats pretty much it, especially now that MH:Rise is about to drop on console... definitly cant wait to finally be able to clearly see unpixelated wyverns... shit was so bad on Switch, i logged about 15 minutes of forced gameplay and just couldnt handle the ugliness of it all... i mean i honestly feel that MH:FU back on PSP looked more crisp and clear.

okay so did some min/max calculations,(so glad the game conversion and real life dont connect) so the calculation are cost of seeds minus the total profits of the plant, for total month if resold and planted every day. these are some of the more profitable crops as to reselling just on base prices listed, some seeds are cheaper at other stores in different cities fomula used---reharvesable ((total harvest in 30 day window X selling price)-seed price )divided by 30 single harvest- ((seed price - selling price) X totat crop in the season) divided by 30 morrocorn seems the most valuable crop to grow in summer in the main feild, as its 200 cost to get, an 400 to sell with 4 days to harvest. thats 50 a day profit. spring kinda 220 cost at 7 harvest, with 910 in selling em all, at 23 a day profit. argene cabbage (winter,sping) is 25 a day profit nectarcane (sping, summer, fall waterside biom) 370 base cost. 1750 selling with 7 harvest at 46/day profit seaside garlic is 58 a day profit with 5 harvest. lanturn pumkin (fall)is 177 a day profit only 2 harvests in fall tingle raddish (sping) 35 a day profit chilly plant (winter) 71 a day profit. sudor pepper (cave biome, spring summer fall) 71 a day profit revol peppor (cave biome, spring summer fall) 43 a day profit honey flower (sping, sumer fall) 41 a day profit
