As someone involved with the mental health sector, knitting or yarning helps to calm down and declutter our mind when one is feeling overwhelmed with repeated intrusive thoughts and and helps to keeps our mind occupied . The beautiful yarns acts as colour therapy which is a proven method used regularly even with highly stressed populations like prison inmates.
