their best album by far followed by shogun my opinion: 1 in waves 2 shogun 3 ember 4 vengeance 5 ascendancy 6 silence 7 sin 8 dragon 9 crusade 10 wtdms
Man, there's so many great Trivium riffs to be included in just one video Like a Sword over Damocles, What the Dead Men Say, Entrance of Conflagration, Becoming the Dragon, Caustic Are the Ties that Bind, Forsake not the Dream, The Phalanx, Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis, Shogun, Ascendancy, Declaration... That's just from the top of my head. Amazing plugins, amazing playing as always, Pete!
Down from the sky was the first song I learned to play when I got my first 7 string. The breakdown riff just after the part you played was the reason. Great video dude 🤘
Been one of my top 5 since their 1st album. A shining beacon in a dark and stormy teenage life. It says a lot when I can recognize each and every riff from the very first note lol
the Pre-chorus/chorus riffs in Forsake not The Dream live rent free in my head. corey and matt are Riff factories and they very rarely have a lame riff in their catalog.
For me i love the riff in the song rain at breakdown part Pull harder on the string of your martyr at breakdown part And the deceive break down part What the dead men say intro part
Tbf, choosing just 12 is really tough. Theyre such consistent riff machines! For me its probably: 1. Ascendancy (the middle section riff) 2. Rain 3. Insurrection 4. In Waves (later major lift riff) 5. Caustic are the ties that bind (main riff) 6. Entrance of the Conflagration 7. Like Callisto (chorus riff) 8. Tread the floods 9. The crusade (pick any riff) 10. Ember to inferno 11. Strife 12. Shattering the skies Honourable mentions: Built to fall, Throes of Perdition, The deceived, Beyond Oblivion Also new Trivium is still great, but havent spent as much time with it, so the riffs just arent as iconic to me as these ones!
Absolutely love Trivium! Seen them live multiple times. Not a fan of their current tone. Their song writing just keeps getting better. But the past two albums mixing and their tones just are not what they used to be... 😔
I am shocked you went with Built to Fall rather than Caustic Are The Ties That Bind but to each their own. Also, Shogun's title track got snubbed? Missed opportunity. Bridge and solo section has some of the best riffs in their discography. They do have some fantastic albums, makes it hard to pick.
I'm new to guitar plug-ins and was wondering about latency? I bought this suite and have a delay when using the software. It sounds awesome but using it in real time looks to be a problem. I'm using the lowest sampling but at 3ms it is noticable.
You’ll need to lower the buffer size (sometimes referred to as samples) of your interface as much as possible. Which interface are you using? I usually have mine set to 32 or 64 :)
The Verse Riff from "Into the mouth of Hell we march", the Pre-Chorus of "At the end of this war", the opening riff of Deadmen, the first AND second verse riff from "Torn between Scylla and Charybdis" How about you just continue the list until you have a video with just every riff they ever wrote?
