Or tales of friendship and relationships even during the worst of times and most importantly how humans can overcome any obstacle in life if they're willing to. Thank you for the amazing video. Yes, I was a bit sceptical to watch it at first because it seemed somewhat slow. But I am glad that I did. The shawshank redemption is solidly in my top 5.

When i first watched "The Prestige", i didnt actually get the depth of the film. Then i kept thinking about it for weeks and my mind was blown with every step of my analyzing
I was around 10 when I watched SWADES, That train scene where srk bought water with that little boy made me cry, idk why but literally made me so emotional at that time..

Ranbir has been like a balm for the souls of all anguished Indian youngsters over the years with his coming of age films like Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh, Anjaana Anjaani, Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, Tamasha. Admit it, most of us survived our young life 'coz of Ranbir.
Dil Chahta Hai not just changed lives but was a game changer for Bollywood entirely and it shaped future films. Audiences were instantly connected with the characters. Also, there are several films like Nightcrawler and before and post these films, where the bad guy wins. The most important aspect that I learnt from films was that, Movies are a medium of telling a story. Any story and anyone's story. It is we as an audience that should be willing to experience it.

Jim Carrey has been involved in several masterpieces like The Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, The Truman Show and Man on the Moon...Those movies will clearly change your life. Another Important mention: Morgan Freeman's The Shawshank Redemption... Unfortunately, Majority of the Indian audience won't cope with such master pieces
Agree! Jim Carrey has been my childhood hero and also Tom Hanks. They have made some cult movies. Forrest Gump is also my all time favourite along with Shawshank redemption.

I usually don't take movies seriously. But two movies I wanna mention that has changed my life... humshakals (watched full), soty 2 (less than a minute). Now I'm more patient. Dil Chahta Hain set a benchmark for future coming of age films. It inspired many films in terms of script, screenplay, visual style, execution and acting economy like Kal Ho Na Ho, Lakshya, Wake Up Sid, etc.
I'd add: Jurassic Park, American Beauty, Memento, Brokeback Mountain, The Dark Knight (so bloody much beyond a comic-book adaptation), Black Friday, Kahaani (again, spoke volumes on so many themes beyond being just a gripping thriller, which it totally was) and Shanghai. You should watch Shawshank redemption if you haven't. It's one movie that has changed many lives. Pretty sure you might have, but don't know why it didn't make it to the list. The movie invokes HOPE in life, Which is all we want to live happily.

The Imitation Game (That people who are labeled as someone who is good for nothing eventually becomes someone who creates, changes and saves the world).

Lala land changed my taste in music, Birdman changed my views on films, and Satyajit Ray gave me the eyes to see films, real films. Most of the good Indian films are inspired by the work of Satyajit Ray, I hope you watch his films and give him the credit he deserves.

I saw Fight Club when I was 10yrs old and that movie changed me ik ik I shouldn't have watched Fight Club at the age of 10yrs but that movie changed my perspective of life and matured me.since then I have been the biggest fan of Fight Club and the Director David Fincher

I completely agree with your list. No question. Personally, I want to add Whiplash(2014) directed by Damien chazzale who later went on to direct La La Land(2016) and Drive(2011) directed by Nocholas Winding Reffn which personally changed me. And also The social Network(2010) which also really influenced me. It taught me, if you believe and perfect what you do..... You can change the world. And I absolutely adore David fincher and arin sorkin... Also trent reznoik and attikas ross. I can name another 1000 films but these three are the most relatable to me.
