Thank you for including recommendations for small bedrooms! I'm one of those with my bed against one wall due to space restrictions, it's so hard to find RU-vid videos that give ideas for truly small spaces!
I am a senior, and now live alone. My bedroom in my condo is a reasonable size but I wanted several pieces of furniture in the room so I opted for a single bed. It is plenty big enough for me ( 5'2" and under 100 pounds) and gives my room a feeling of space plus it comfortably fits my furniture.
Good stuff. Im middle aged, live alone no kids, I downsized from a double bed to a small double bed for my studio flat, now I have much more space to move around. Threw out all my bulky furniture and replaced it with a more minimalist design.
I have no SO (for decades) and don’t toss and turn while sleeping. I have always prefer a single bed to have more room in my bedroom and save $ on bedding (twin size is much cheaper and wash well in home washer). I prefer bedroom in dark color for deeper sleep. Currently my bedroom wall is a matte green hue with blue undertone. I love it so much!!!!
My bedroom is in a blue/green as well, but very pale. It's Benjamin Moore's Whispering Spring and I love that color so much in my south facing bedroom! I also opted for a single bed and appreciate how everything fits easily into the washer.
I got the keys to my new apartment yesterday. Looking forward to not only watch all of your videos because they are so good. What software/Website do you use for your ground plan layouts, if you dont mind me asking ?
Hi Reynard, can you do please do a content on TV panel/feature wall and choosing TV console? Whether to leave it bare, to make a TV accent wall, use fluted panels or laminates.. and what goes with a floating or legged TV console? Btw I’ve been watching your videos (honestly it’s so calming, almost like an ASMR) and your design process video especially has gave me a great insight! Thank you!
Hi.. question.. could you suggest a multi function room? We have a third ‘bed’room upstairs that is currently a POOR home office, it’s dated with cupboards/wardrobes inherited when the house was purchased. The challenge is, we want to have children in 18 months, so require transitional suggestions .. any help at all would be appreciated. Great videos.. I forgot entirely about art in the bedroom
I am wondering that always in the bedroom videos are not wardrobes. Where you all keep your clothes?? Anyway - video is fine and good explained. I also got such a bad bedroom. Window nearly in the middle of the wall and door opposite. The room is 3 meters width and 4,20 m long. The door need 1 meter to open. Now the bed is in the middle of the right side wall. And there is a big empty wall infront. Can not make artworks behind and infront the bed. Now I put the small console table infront of the bed and left side from that a chair and in the corner a 1 meter clothes rail. Its not high as the wardrobe with 90 cm beside the bed and a drawer beside the window. So I have the bed at the middle of the wall - one side the drawer but other side to the window and after side the wardrobe . It looks all not so good. I tried also the drawer infront of the bed but its smaller than the bed so it looks not good. I sent this room also to some designer in Fivver they couldnt manage that. Could you help? Maybe you can make a video with usuful things for the bedroom like drawer, wardrobe, bed, chair. If have only bed and some nightstands, a flower, al lamp and a shelf its always easy.
Yes! I use metric myself as we’re in Australia but it’s really tricky to include both on screen at the same time without overcrowding; would love to know if anyone have ideas on how to include both without filling up the screen with too much numbers 😅
another amazing video!! Honestly super loved the moss/sage color scheme with the oak but ettitude no longer carries moss in their pillowcases. could you possibly suggest another color scheme that would work with the same frame? can't wait for the next vid!
I’m looking for a low profile platform bed, any thoughts on brands? I’ve seen the Akita Low Profile by Modern Digs Furniture. Are there some you would recommend?
Please help me with my new house. I have 90’s style orangey hardwood floors. I can’t afford to restrain them right now. What can I do with the wall colors and room decor so that it is contemporary? I like contemporary, modern organic aesthetic.
0:54 I have this same exact bedroom setup !!! thanks for featuring this reynard, ive been wondering if i positioned my bed correctly or if theres a better way to do it, but alas i guess there really isnt because if i have the bed across the room in the middle of the wall you cant walk around it, i\you have to jump on it which is insanely impractical lol
Hey ! Thanks for this video. I was wondering if low mattress or low mattress frame was a good idea for a bedroom ? I like the mood it gives but some people said that you can get some mold under it. What do you think ?
Mold?! If your house has mold no bed frame will help you and vice versa. Mold factors include humidity and preexisting contamination, not furniture structure shape or design. Mold is a fungus you know
These tips are so good! I did a bedroom sanctuary for Mastercard and did some similar things as well. Create your DREAM bedroom | 5 Steps To Upgrading Your Bedroom ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CYJwnh75oJo.html
We are trying to incorporate grounding devices into our design now. A video featuring how to add plants would be great. I’ve always gardened outside but am craving more life indoors.
Look into wall shelving or floating bedside table like this www.finnishdesignshop.com/en-au/product/wallie-wall-drawer-walnut-black Just an example, but there are many out there that may suit your needs better. Or perhaps a simple stool?
Use light colored large rugs and light colored furniture for some contrast, but not white. Natural textures such as wood (again light shades), textured fabrics etc will help add comforting feeling. And key - use a lot of good accent lighting. Possibly real plants too if there is enough light at least by the window.
