As a doctor I'm shocked that how some iNfLuEncERs go up to any extent misguiding the naive audience just to grab their coins. Thanks for always keeping a 💯
I totally stop to watch our so called beauty bloggers who donno anything about skin care(be natural, rinkal soni, superstylis, indian girl trisha etc.)... I only watch skin care specialists...dr. dray, hyram, james welsh, cassandra bankson, susan yara, liah yoo. Lebeautyologist-the golden RX
@@sohinimukherjee4838 the light is not the issue but i have followed alot of her remedies and it only ruined my skin. She really spreads alot of wrong information about skincare. Thank god for the youtubers who actually think of their audience.
Loved the video as always jovi and the concept for next one as well, Other mistakes bloggers make is 1) promote products without even using it properly for enough time 2) Pushing high - end products most of time 3) use body products for face eg. Scrubs, lotion etc.
Hi jovita, Toners still r required to maintain ph because the tap water everywhere except in north east area is highly alkaline... No matter if your cleanser is low ph... Ultimately you are washing your face with water that is highly alkaline. So you need, toner to balance ph.
Right. In North East India, water & Soil quality is maintained well, Where's in others parts, due to intensive cultivation & ground water exploitation, water quality is really getting horrible
Hey Jovi......back when my sister had teenage acne, she applied red sandal-honey paste and "tried" to keep it overnight. It was exactly like you said. She was crying out in the middle of Night "ayyoo urumbu kadicheeyy." Ants was literally all over her face, neck and ears😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I am not sorry to say stop it, stop being copy cat. Your each n every word wasn't your's, these words are of Dr. Dray, one another famous dermatologist, and specially your everything is chemical even watar, these words are from a upcoming skin care youtuber who has massive knowledge of ingredients (I don't want to take the name). You even copied of her each and every word. It seems now you are bored doing makeup or you don't have content. So increase your subscribers you started copying of skin care experts.BE ORIGINAL. Must say you copy like , these are your words and I was like oh I have heard even same sentence and topic before.

Exactly Erica , I am appalled at how she has copied the exact paragraphs from Dr. Dray’s video. I mean she could have re-phrased it at least. That too she has the guts to lol !! My sympathies for her naive subscribers.

I made a video on malayalam beauty bloggers keep posting videos on skin whitening every day with a new recipe and many people including school girls blindly following. All natural is not always safe but these people use the keyword "ayurveda " "non chemical" and "inexpensive"
@@chinnuprince6304 yes once i was addicted to her videos n was planning to buy her products too. Then i dropped plan. Because fairness is not beauty! Self care matters
Applying turmeric to my face has actually helped me to improve my skin. It doesn't make u "gori" but it has benefits if u apply it regularly . It's not magic that works overnight . And no it doesn't turn the skin yellow yellow yellow . It easily is removed with a basic cleanser.
You talk against skin lightening whitening but all I keep seeing is you increase your lighting or apply 2 or 3 or 4.. may b u should know it better.. lighter foundation... I loved Jovita earlier but day by day the hypocrisy is going way above.. I am pretty sure its not only me who noticed this.
Amen to that , im so glad some one noticed it i mean come on ...oh and by the way puleeezzzz i ain't hating on her nor am i harassing her and no i didnt watch the whole video either ,its just that i use to be a subscriber but unfollowed as she was being such a "im such a victim of hate" and hypocritical to the core of the earth...this video got recommended to my feed and this title cracked me.up.and i I thought realllyyyyyyy 🤣🤣 Man people are so damn cunning these days it should be cunning as a human not cunning as a fox anymore and if some one wants to argue for my comment girl ur wasting your time, cos i aint never coming back to.this video again 😂😂😂
Omgggg....this video is so satiating... Damn yaar...being a science teacher, I'm so freaking pissed telling people that everything has chemical in it....this whole natural bullshit drives me nuts... Thank you jovita... Thank you...I'm at peace ✌️❤️
I don't know why is it because of the lighting or jovita chechi has applied a shade lighter than her skin tone because I feel like her face colour and the neck colour is different. I am not against anyone I am just telling my opinion. Anyways jovita chechi looks always awesome ❤💙😍😍😍😍
The “natural” trend is super annoying! Also, annoying is the fact that lots of these IG stories of the makeup gurus/influencers or whatever their title is, go on and on promoting Indian brands. Ufffff! Just because it’s “Indian” doesn’t make it wow! Taking the vocal for local too far imo
I am soooooo happy to finally see you talking about these issues di. I am 19 now and as a teenager I've followed such bloggers blindly and I regret doing that as well, it took me time to realize that the basic is really enough. Thank you and love you a lot diii!!!!!!
Probably because they contain lot of fragrance. And also too many plant extracts. Stick with dermatologist-recommended products even if they look boring.
Oh gosh! That word “Natural” just bugs me too! When I discuss about my skincare routine with my friends they all judge me for not going “Natural” even tho I deal with acne and can tame them easily while they struggle with pimples and they yet judge me. gosh!
Yes! I've seen so many bloggers doing sponsored content with ANR and the garnier vitamin C serum when their demographic is mostly pre-teens and teens. Now I don't mind them doing sponsored content because they have to earn their money too, but this irresponsible promotion to young and impressionable girls is what irks me.
Please take this comment into consideration and make a video for teenagers of age 15 and 16 and ppl around tht age. Cause I have dry skin and how much ever moisturiser I put on my face I feel dry after few hours. So please make a skincare video for teenagers who have acne and different types of skin
if you are sixteen make sure you have a good cleanser. Simple Gel Cleanser(green one, not white), Kaya Soothing Cleanser are very mild ones. And then, apply creams like Cetaphil DAM lotion. Buy the smaller version to check if it suits you. You can also include Jojoba oil is you are not acne prone at night, or Squalane oil at night (oils can oxidise on the skin and give you unhealthy tan so don't apply in the morning). The sun dries the skin even more, so sunscreen is a must. Lastly drink water, have fruits and vegetables, cut down on salty and sweet foods as they can cause dehydration. You don't need any acids or treatments as they can be quite drying on your skin. Try to avoid fragranced products as much as possible in your creams. You should also apply your creams when your skin is damp/nearly wet to prevent trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). Don't scrub your face either because your skin in young and soft, and exfoliation can really hurt it. If you have acne prone dry, talk to your GP. They will probably give you a mild clindamycin+niacinamide cream to combat it. (That's what my GP gave me when i have a bad break out when i was 20) -Sincerely, as someone who has had dry skin throughout her teens and even in mid-twenties. Stay blessed, don't stress so much, dry skin, acne skin are almost always hormonal. Sleep and eat well and you'll get through this!
The cringey skin care experts have millions of millions of subscribers. I don't know why. May be because they share the stupid DIYs. But, that's why the actual Beauty influencers are so underrated & I wanna mention them as I trust them love them a lot 💖💖💖 1. Shreya Jain 2. Jovita George 3. Chetali Chaddha 🌹🌹🌹
im very upset 😭😭😭why this rabia skin care used( whitning brighting face and body /lightning tightening vagina) words on their video 😭like y. we hav to use that kind of diy y we have to lighten that if we r proud of our skin aur we r proud of our adult vagina ?? kyuuuu

Glycolic acid by the Ordinary is 7% and the brand themselves say that you can use it once everyday. I've been using it for awhile and I love my skin in the morning.
Maybe u should work more on your tone! When u r trying to educate ppl ,u must ONLY do that and not make fun of them...U sound arrogant as if u know everything in this world! There are many things that u still might not know !We are here to educate each other and not look down upon ppl who WE think , are doing things wrong!
Q: When to use toners? A: Only if the toner has something that your actives and moisturizers dont have. Otherwise you may get oversensitized reaction. Q: Who can skip toners? A: Those who chose to shower at night, avoid towel drying face and go on with your PM skincare. Another great substitute to Vitamin C is Azelaic acid, still underrated in India.
Noo... I've learned this from an esthetician.. toners are basically to bring your skin to a pH(after cleansing)that allows it to absorb the actual skincare better than it would without a toner. But anyway 🤭🤭
@@nostalgia03 even splashing water can change the pH of skin away from normal... And most of the serums and moisturizers available caters to the need of balancing the pH. Toners are going to phase out soon.. they had their moment... Suggested by most of the Dermatologists
@@nostalgia03 Also, I'm on topical tretinoin, the infamous one which will bring down everything to bare basics... 😏 That's how I found out (the hard way), toners especially with actives, if not layered without medical knowledge, hell breaks over.😌
The whole young uns using anti aging products seems to be sweeping skincare everywhere, even in the west. I don't agree with it at all. People are like - start now. Like no..? It's not going to stop you from aging. That advice is nonsense.
I’ve seen quite a popular blogger casually talk about a dermadoc product or something...saying it’s her favourite nd all that...and when she starts talking about the ingredients ...she doesn’t know..so she reads the label and says ...ohh it has BHA in it...so yeah it’s great...I mean...isn’t BHA supposed to be an exfoliant that makes your skin extra photosensitive...shouldn’t you be careful about using such a product ...what if she or anyone who watches the video (god forbid teens) layers that product with another BHA ...or something worse ...so I just wanted to mention the mistake that influential bloggers make of giving out wrong info along with promoting products without actually researching or knowing full details about the product! That’s what I love about you on the other hand. If you’re promoting something...I can trust that you know fully well what you’re promoting! ❤️
Absolutely, firstly thank you for your trust in me. I value it dearly! Secondly, you are right, as viewers, we have to choose the right people to follow too..
Me in my early 20s (I am 23) . And gained a lot of weight (40+kgs to be exact) recently my skin has changed drastically. I have terrible stretch marks bad hyperpigmentation (neck , elbows , between my thighs and moreover strawberry legs) . I am always concerned about my look. Always been a thick girl which was not a trend back then in 2000s or 90s. My family constantly told me to lose weight mind that I was not skinny but not overweight till 2016. I had terrible emotional rollercoaster ,anxiety , depression. I stopped talking my anti depressants cause it didn't made me feel good. Now I am "uglier" my mom keeps telling me be like before as if I was not destroyed enough. I never felt appreciate enough from my close ones. I lost my dad when I was 11 ( I was devastated I didn't realize that until 16yrs) then a bad relationship and a miscarriage. I don't know what to do maybe this skincare routines can help me out so that I can finally be enough. Jovita is someone I loved from 2015 I started my medical school back then I loved how she made me feel which I never felt in a long time. Me now final year student soon to be a board certified doctor by next few months I never been so happy subscribing to a influncer like her. Thank you for being real and accepting your mistakes. We are human we make mistakes, but over the years the knowledge can grow and change a person.
Girl I feel you. I'm 20 and 5'7 in height. I weight 58.5 kgs currently(Not ashamed of my weight so gonna say it anyways). I was skinny and underweight growing up and back then people told me to eat more and stuff. I was diagnosed with PCOD a few months back and gained a lot of weight. Before the PCOD diagnosis, I had gained a healthy weight(Enough to be considered a "perfect" ratio between my height and weight and "asthethically good looking weight".) But since my recent weight gain, my mom has been telling me to lose weight coz I look ugly and stuff. I don't pay attention to her since its my choice whether I should or shouldn't and I don't think I should necessarily lose weight to please others eyes. However I am planning to get into a proper workout routine coz its healthier and my doctor has said that I should maintain my weight somewhere around 55 kg for a healthy BMI. Also, none of my clothes fit 😂. So girl my advice to you is, don't listen to anyway say you're ugly. Just do what YOU wanna do for YOURSELF. Not because others say you should.
Hey Jovita...First of all..hats off to you for bringing us contents like this..Secondly,whenever I see ur videos I feel soooo good about myself that I can't express..These days it's been really hard to cope up with the pandemic and added to it is the pressure of being perfect or to simply put it..to literally blend into the crowd...I really hope we get out of this horrid situation and be comfortable in our skin irrespective of all the negativities that surrounds us..Sending u and everyone lots of good wishes and love..😍🤗🤩
Hey! Loved the video💕 Except the part where you said that cleansers these days are ph balanced🤨. 90% of the cleansers in the indian market are not ph balanced(even the ones with good ingredient list, take cetaphil gentle cleanser as an example.) So balancing the ph is a must🤗
Jovi I just need a suggestion, as you mentioned about the plum green tea clarity gel. I have extremely oily skin, and during winters I have pimples all the time. So I use it as a night cream daily, so is that okay. Or which night cream I should switch for. Please reply❤️
I want to bring it out there that don't shave your faces, you'll grow thicker longer hair..... I and my mom did as suggested by many many bloggers and youtubers and regret it till now
One request Jovita..kindly give your information more precise and brief ..plz🙏it’s looking like as if you are talking to a mirror rather to ur audience 🧐
Hi, Do we really need toners? How to decide if we need toners? I use facewash, that too cetaphil, only once a week, I don't usually breakout. So sometimes I worry if I'm not taking care of my skin as I should.
The most terrifying thing I watched a skincare influencer recommend is putting lemon juice directly on their face, without dilution or mixing it in those DIY masks and that too for 20 to 30 minutes. And that person also mentioned to do it every single day to get the acne scars lightened. 🥴 And another one started off with the same lemon juice story and she mentioned since lemon is acidic and to neutralize the whole thing if your skin shows irritation one can add baking soda. I was like "Am I in a chemistry class?" Love your contents, Jovi. ❤
Your videos are super refreshing and apart from that extremely full of knowledge. It’s always good to see your content. Waiting for your next video with Dermats!! ♥️
You are so funny jovita really like to see your videos and your sense of humor oh my love what to say. When I see naturally fair RU-vidr say that use this DIY that DIY and you have skin like me and I think what! How can it happen how you can change your complexion. They fool us. But now I unsubcribe all RU-vidr. No garbage ideas need for beautiful skin.
Yaaaasss !!! Thanks for coming up with this video, Jovi !!! It's high time now... I have been so frustrated seeing bloggers make videos on such diys and spreading wrong information and also promoting whitening "Ayurvedic" creams !!
Could you please suggest if I should use demafique toner (the one that has glycolic acid) to use everyday? Also an alternative toner for oily combination skin❤️
Heyyy joviee I'm 19 and have hyperpigmentation around my mouth area so is it okk if I use the ordinary aha 30% bha 2% peeling solution as a chemical exfoliator to get rid of my hyperpigmentation of not can you suggest me a better a option 🥺🥺🥺... Ohhh yeah and i loveee youuu your videos have been helping me for a really long time❤❤❤❤
Hi, you're too young to use a peeling solution. The ordinary peeing solution is to be used when you have HIGH tolerance of chemical exfoliators. Its literally the last step in the journey of chemical exfoliators. Just religiously use sunscreen (maybe use SPF 50). You don't even need it at 19 TBH. Just moisturize, use SPF all day everyday and reapply at least once after lunch. Trust me this is the way I have gotten ridden of mine.
Noooo, you are too young. You are just what I thought when I was 19. Insecure. Just enjoy your life, eat healthy and leave your skin alone. It's hormones time and you are at a phase when a lot of things take place, studies, stress. So adding a product will no help if you don't have time. Relax and let your skin develop. It will change so much in a year that you will not recognize. Relax girl. It's okaaayy
Just 12 I mean 😀 for tipical blogger They just mention to use nicinamide serum using every day twice 😂 Then mix oil and lemon for oiling Wash your face with honey , apple cider vinegar Recommending any mamaearth Products like their micellar water face wash which had sodium metabisulfite which is irritating for eyes and lips😭 And afcorse their body pamper tipical routine ......and so many.................never ending wrong advice
Every video I watch I have more respect for you. Such a voice of reasoning. Jovi, please could you comment or share your views regarding the WOW Cosmetics products. I was left aghast to see that not one of their products have the mention of it's measures in the containers. When I commented on their page to ask the question, they outright deleted my comments. Shady!!! Unfortunately we see so many and by that I mean so many beauty bloggers in India in a promotion rant of their products.
I really don’t know why all this skincare drama these days? Eat good food, drink water, sleep well and you are good to go👍 And moisturizer/sunscreen/cleansing. That is all I do. I don’t waste money to buy unnecessary chemicals.
Can you plz tell me your diet what you eat and how much water you drink in a day? Cause I want glowing skin and I don't know how to do that plz help me
Madhu Saxena Hello, I drink 2.5L of water everyday. There are mobile apps which reminds us to stay hydrated. I limit sugar intake and deep fried foods. I eat beetroot or carrot everyday either in sabzi or as stir fry. I let my skin breath and I don’t use any moisturizer while at home. When my face is too dry, either I do an oil massage for 5 mins with olive oil or use a moisturizer. That is it. I have no acne breakouts these days, thankfully!
Gurrrrrl . I was going to buy ilana brightening serum today with 10% vit C because I heard you and simmy talk about it in older vid and it was in a good discount also but I was waiting till 1 for my father to recieved his check and when I woke up today the discount was gone. I was eyeing it from last week . It made me so upset . Now I am happy (I am 16 and was gonna use 10% vitC)
This is exactly what I have been thinking ever since I started making RU-vid videos on skincare!!! I realised that there are only a handful of “influencers” that do any research before putting out a DIY video or even product recommendation. And so are able to upload videos with inaccurate information EVERYDAY!!!! Maybe some people don’t realise it that they, by giving advice ( and by gaining monetary benefits by making people view advertisements if not by paid promotion) do have some responsibility towards their viewers. I, on the other hand, (being a Doctor and having the technical know how, still) spend days figuring out how each Ingredient behaves when it comes in contact with skin and so am able to only produce one video in a week. I am not hating on anybody.... I am Not against people making money from RU-vid..... but there should be some effort to be factually correct.

Cleansing 3 times!!!.. Where am i living..i never saw anyone using like that... Thank god i didn't, my eyes couldn't handle that..😪 Secondly, it is not about natural, it is about harmful chemicals and beneficial ones and also about what good ones works with your skin well. Skincare is a journey guys.. There is more but, i think it is enough for now. It's precise.. Also, skincare according to your age. Your skin is not aging so you don't need a anti-aging products. Ex- you have acne then use acne products not ANR. Jovita di is highlighting some really imp. Mistakes that i saw and went mad on that😶😶 Thank you jovita!!!
I have two questions.... should I apply vitamin c serum ?.. I'm 18 N should I use dermafique toner everyday or alternative days...as it has glycolic acid in it?
I respect you more with each and every video. I am 23 years with super oily- sensitive skin type, and prefer 'nothing' except a cucumber toner. Let the skin breathe and enjoy it's journey as well. I don't know if this can be counted as a skincare mistake, but i have seen young youtubers use 'chemical exfoliation procedure' videos, and like you mentioned, overuse of sponsored products.
