Emerald Skulls wasn't really on my radar, but hearing you talk about it as peaked my interest. I am looking forward to seeing what they have for Brink as I've enjoyed IV games so far. I have also been waiting for Terrorscape to come back.
I have fond memories of the time i hiked a mountain on the 4th of July and watched the fireworks from above. The city has a pretty spectacular 4th of july firework event so it was really neat.
Just found this channel and I can't wait to watch more!!! I haven't climbed any massive mountains, but I did climb a relatively tall hill where at the top there was a lookout of all of the trees and barns a few hundred feet below me! It's really cool to see nature from that perspective
Thanks for the info and giveaways! And congrats to the winners! I’m hoping to get Kemet to the table for the first time so I can decide if I should back the expansion :D Emerald Skulls does sound intriguing. I do tend to like “push your luck” as a mechanism. I’ll have to check the kickstarter to see if there’s a compelling reason to back it rather than getting the game from my FLGS. Next week I’ll check out DC United. I have enough Marvel United, but maybe the core DC box with stretch goals might be nice to mix with Marvel. Hmmm…. See ya next time!
I would say Niagara Falls is best seen from the Canadian side. I don’t generally hike but one time some friends and I hiked to the top of a mountain in the White mountains and some got into the very cold lake at the top. Great summary of everything. Always helpful to know what is coming this week.
#peaks…. In 2017 I went to Naples, Italy. Found out Pompeii was just a twenty minute train ride away. Of course I had to go. One of the highlights was hiking up Mt. Vesuvius. It was exhausting but very rewarding and beautiful.
Peaks looks like a promising game about mountaineering. Looking for such a game for quite a long time as I spend each summer vacation with climbing and hiking. :)
Iceland looks quite interesting to me. Brink looks quite good, although I don’t know about the bidding part. We’ll see. Your giveaways look fun too. Thank you for the video.
When I travelled to Canada in the 90s , didn't climb any peaks , but hiked to Mt Robson lakeside camp and lots of hikes in Waterston , Yoho , Banff, Jasper and the K one ? kootenays ? . If you have kids Yoho ( wonder in Cree from memory ) is a great one , as base camp to explore tarns , and various day walks . The Skyline is a famous walk and very good . If you do stop at lake Louise ( suppose everyone does ) . some nice circuit walks , some need care when show/ice though
Thanks for another week Adam! This is a very loaded week, I wish I was rich. Brink, deep regrets, emerald skulls, kemet and terrorscape. And next week it's DC united and 2 weeks after Fafnir... uff this is a very expensive month
I really enjoyed Hidden Leaders, so I’m curious to have more adventures in the land of Oshra! Happy Canada Day to all canadian boardgame content creators! 🎉🇨🇦
Yay! Thanks Adam. 🎉 How far are you in Tanares Adventures? I just got my copy recently and have been wanting to crack it open. But summer shenanigans interfere! 😜 I‘m in Colorado so go hiking all the time - I’ve done 2 “fourteeners” (mountains over 14,000 ft). At the top of one of them, it was snowing there some still in July. 😮
Thanks for the content, eh? Now I'm going to go play hockey and have some poutine! Is that Canadian enough? lol You've convinced me to have a good look at Emerald Skulls btw! Thanks again!
Looking forward to Kemet / Brink. Had Yield on my radar but still sitting on the fence for that one, although the possibility to get leftover kickstarter units of the Hidden Leaders expansion has me at least wanting to get pledge manager access.
#Peaks I haven’t hiked anything major recently - just the local trails (although I am lucky enough to have redwoods within driving distance). Right before covid hit, I had a great trip to the Grand Canyon. Loved it!
Honestly nothing is speaking to me this week. Next week is 20 Strong: Tanglewoods!!!!!! I hike ALL the time. Love to try out new 14'ers in the states. Going hiking in South Dakota soon. No real elevation but it will still be epic!
