This is so heartwarming Adam! I have been living in New Zealand (Glenorchy actually, with the Rees/Dart and the Routeburn on the Doorstep) for the last 4 years and have done all these hikes, so this is very much like re-living my memories, and remembering all the people I have met. I did a solo trip before COVID and flew into Christchurch then drove over to Tekapo and up through Haast and all the way up the west coast. Ended with going through the mountains and back into Christchurch. First time driving a right hand drive vehicle and those west coast roads are intense.

Me and my crew simply wouldn't have the funds to cover this sort of Hiking. And from experience, if you try this sort of Hiking without splashing out money here there and everywhere, most likely get treated like crap due to not giving them the money they expect. I've been there - often how people are.
