I felt this in my soul!!!! Im a pct and nursing student so my clinicals often run close to my weekends. Had to do 6 12's in a row. Day 7 i sat at home in the dark 🤣
Them 12s ain’t nooooo joke! The longest stretch I did was 7 12s back to back and when I worked 8s 28days. By the 4th 12 hr shift I was delirious and running on hopes, dreams and miracles 🤣🤣
I remember working 6-12s back to back to get 6 days off in a row. 100% regret, I spent like 4 of the 6 days off just sleeping 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ never did that again!! Lesson learned 😢

I remember When I was 19, I had just got hired to become a correctional officer and they changed the shift to 12hours, messed up my plan, I had little kids and I was a single mother. I couldn't do it 🤣🤣🤣 lol, I was thinking 🤔 I needed to be alert when doing that job 👍🏾 , so I never worked as a correctional officer. I was mad 😡 so, I had to change my plans. I became a cashier and customer service. And that's all I did in life. The pay wasn't good 👍🏾 but it was a job.

Man, I wonder how your 5/12 shifts compare to 7/12. I mean you gotta stay mentally alert alert, where ya we do alot of climbing and heavy lifting but most the time as long as your being safe you don't have to be saving lives
wait... wait... 5 12hour shifts IN A ROW?? LEMME UNDERSTAND FOR A SECOND: as in... 2 and a half days STR8?! or every time you have work it's a 12hour shift??
That's life. 12 hours ain't shit if you have a goal. Imagine 12 hours, then another 5 with emails, estimates, invoices, phone calls, bookkeeping. You clearly have goals. Stay true to them. Stay busy and the time passes quick. That paycheck will be nice unless you don't have any skills.
