No kidding!?! Not only a good builder but a good wheelman? I had no idea. Good equipment too, that motor sounds nasty and the transmission took a beating like a champ! I honestly thought it would belly quicker than it did, but you drove really smart. But A 12 hour build and you put it in the money, very cool!!.. Much respect, you definitely just earned a new sub. Also loved all the old iron out there!
Derby Dad hero is the best. I haven't run since my boy was 9 he kept all my trophies for years in his room. He is 17 now, and I'll be running with him in his first derby next season. See if the old man can still bring home the MadDog hardware.

What kind of rules do you have. Limited welds,no welds. Very curious because I'm looking to build a derby car since I moved to your neck of the woods. And haven't been in a derby for just over a yr now
Did they not allow many fix it plates? I wasn’t sure if you have a cradle or not I forgot to look but I like folding the two fix it plates into a taco shape and weld between the dash bar and the distributer protector or back of cradle if they allow as two of my fix it plates on the mid 70s gm cars because they always go at the firewall. @@whatnooowaaay lol, that’s cool. You got a amazing stash of old iron gm. I was a idiot and sold off most of mine in 2007 now I’ve only got a few 75 2 dr impalas. If you ever find a nice 2 dr Buick or olds with a title or any drivers up your way I’m really trying hard to find one to build a fun streetcar I can play around with on the weekends and drive to derbies with I’d be very interested in buying or trading impalas plus cash or engines plus cash whatever it takes to make a deal let me know.
