1:16 Ahem, I believe it's time for a Ceave lesson! If the player triggers a POW block via bonking or throwing a shell at it, the POW will affect everything that is on camera. But if the POW is triggered by a shell bouncing and hitting it, the POW will then affect a range of a screen around the POW block. Which is why the second example failed to kill a Muncher when the POW went pow until Luigi himself threw a shell at it.
@@TheyCallMeBruski I don’t own a Nintendo Switch so I don’t really know what you’re talking about, but what I do know is that you used to be able to capture photos using the capture button, maybe you can capture videos now?
For the first one, a Pow block that gets triggered by Mario or something that directly interacted with him will explode in the range of Mario's screen. Pows not triggered by him will explode in the Pow block's screen's range.
Range pow doesn't shrink... If pow activated by player then everything on screen explodes, but if it is activated by hazard then 1 screen around pow itself explodes, basically it stops being based on player screen and starts being based on distance from exploded pow instead. Basically in first example if yoy had a muncher on global grounds but outside of view that muncher wouldn't explode... Even though it is loaded, because what matters is it being on screen...
You should of shown the 45° Sprite for Regular Mario in SMW, that one always gets a laugh out of me, in fact it's one of the memes in the SMW hacking community, alongside the MUNCHER. Also there isn't any unique angled sprites in SMM, there all just the default ones, at an angle. Would of been nice if they made it look like a mode 7 effect.
The POW range is based off of weather the player is related to it or not. If you throw a shell or hit it with your head it kills your screen but if a hazard hits it it kills a screen based off the POWs position. Basically, it kills what you would see if you were in the POWs position.
7:48 You can't run on walls in New Super Mario Bros. but in later games featuring Mini Mushroom in the series. Also the POW one is not accurate as brought up by Ceave's ...uhm... students? Otherwise cool facts, I did not knew some of them.
In Super Mario Brothers 1 style, you can hide the goal pole using a slope, but the player will still be able to grab the goal pole and finish the level.

@@theneierlings1811 I don't see what that has to do with it? That's just telling you the button to push to get back to the editor. It doesn't say anything about being able to move the character while testing the level :P
7:52 diagonal mario born with this because has tiny Mario looks like diagonal Mario and its diagonal Mario because he are standing in diagonal so his name didn’t changed... I hope nobody understand
Looygi Bros. ah, that makes sense! I was racking my mind trying to figure out if there’s a capture card or something that can record footage in handheld mode haha!
