I am amazed that none of you guys have installed a desalination system like the RAINMAN system. That will allow you to carry way less water, and fill up ANYWHERE - fresh/brackish/salt water, and means you can stay anywhere for a much longer time. That is the FIRST modification I am adding to my NPS build!. P.S: Love your build!....

Gday mate, yes have been looking into them and hoping to put one in the next build 👍
@mrkanangra
@mrkanangra 10 месяцев назад
@@exploringoffthegrid Awesome. They are perhaps a game changer in remote touring. I would recommend RAINMAN. I have zero affiliation with them but have friends who use them of yachts and love them. Seems like a no brainer for a remote 4WD setup.

@@BTBSean0 - mate is ANYONE in the desert full time? - and if so, there are bores, saltwater lakes, the coasts etc, and foul water.Having a Desal, then a RO unit will make life a lot easier. And Mate, WTAF???- YOU do not need to buy one...... I don't normally say much, but your comment is ignorant, uninformed and really something from a dullard that honestly knows NOTHING about long term 4X4 touring..... Sure you have your motorbike and 4wd videos, but Deaslination is an absolute GAME CHANGER for many 4WD tourers. Again mate - YOU ARE AT NO PRESSURE TO PURCHASE ONE, so thanks for your comment!

Currently in the process of fitting out our new canopy in our truck, and are going the way of the Milwaukee packout gear, lightweight, super convenient in a different amount of sizing, and allows me to remove the tools etc from the truck when we are back home to utilise back in the shed. Highly rate it, I know a few other builds that have utilised it also to good effect.

Hey mate can we see a vid of the outboard motor being harnessed and lowered? Just trying to grasp the concept of this. For eg. Does the outboard get scratched when lowering it? Does it scrap on the truck when lowering it also raising it up back into position?

Whats your opinion of a single cab, upgraded king shocks, super singles, dual fuel tanks, water tanks on a 2wd truck? 17000lb Sherpa winch. All up less than 7t. Not aim for the most remote place on earth but anywhere a supply truck or civilization can reach.
