Gfx card Vram in 512mb maximun card detect , in old low pc in auto detect , hi-re texture 0 in off is bad this option generates pixels and conflict with texture filter activate use pixel shader for psx texture windows emulation framerrate settings , click in use fps limit and actibate click in fps limit to 60.00 FPS compatibility section : 2 Extended - Can cuse gabage framebuffer effects 2 Standard Emulate frame textures and buffer moves reads , this is important for all perfect efects in all games , framebuffer Upload 2 Full Uploads full vram area can be slow use it only when svcreens are missing . all effects generates a much smoother movement accompanying better at 60 fps. full screen filters section : actvate screen filter Activate shader efects and shader efects in 3 or 4 deopend your shader my recomended shader is fxaa and in shader level in 3 . note , fxaa delete minimun sawtooth existent,, flicker-fix borde in 0 pixels misc disable scannlines activate mdec filter for not pixelated movies intros etc . disable screen saver

@@paulruffy8389 olgl1.77 or 1.78: resolution, it depends on your computer hahah here I don't say anything hahahahdxD ,, Color deph 32 bits , texturs quality in dontcare .. hi-re deactivated, causes pixels and collides with the texture filter leaving it half null: (xD ,, :) GfxCard vram 128 and in auto if it is very old pc texture fiLtering extended removes black borders ,, the best, to remove all existing pixels, bilinear in other emulators for pc games, framerrate, use fps limit on Lo ,, and set 60fps ,, Compatibility: off-screen darwing 4 can cause garebage ... framembuffer textures: 3 card buffer read and moves, famembuffer access: 3 gfx Card- buffer reads and moves, activate alpha multy pass, to avoid black edges dubbed in sprites, mask bit off and adbanced blending off ,, With these settings everything runs smoother, giving better accompaniment at 60 fps;) xD, misc: scannlines offf ahhah

I wouldn’t recommend trying a game just because it’s pretty. Bad physics can totally ruin an experience. If you’re gonna get it, try to keep it cheap Sincerely, someone who has played Alfa Romeo Racing (PS2), DT Racer (PS2), Corvette Evolution GT (PS2), and Rally Cross (PS1)

Guys, I am joining you (in this discusion)! I also grew up playing this game! Also I played it four years ago on the phone (through the PSX application). I wouldn't feel bored playing it again. I have several cars I love (Impreza is my childhood favorite, while today can't decide between Cordoba and Escort)... MUSIC ESPECIALLY REMEMBER!!!

rally de africa is wonderfull game, i played with my friend every sunday it's excited moment, sound's like easy left easy right oh-oh-oh

it is indeed a rare game. Made by Prism Arts, a seemingly obscure Japanese game developer, and a sequel to Rally de Africa. I've played both and both games had a very different difficulty gap. Rally de Africa was an absolute breeze while Rally de Europe is bloody hard so to say.

I have Rally de Europe and still keep it. It's a fun series, but need an extreme concentration and accuracy on turning since their tracks were very narrow Sega Rally. Often led to an inability to overtake.

I've always preferred the stage rally type games over the more rallycross inspired ones. Not having to start at the back of the pack and deal with clunky AI opponents counts for a lot. Haha. Just me vs. the track. The way it should be.

After having suffered through Rally across (a game about the titular sport with horrendous physics) despite being an opponents type of guy, I definitely understand

Rally De Europe and Rally De Africa‘s developers are from SEGA Rally team I remember.

No Rally De Africa and Rally De Europe are from Prism Arts. Completely different people. They are apparently an auto parts company that decided to expand into software. The first game they made (don’t remember the name) was an absolutely awful Ridge Racer clone. Then they set their sights on Sega Rally, and actually made a really good clone, which might actually be better than home consoles versions of Sega Rally at the time. Rally De Europe was their last game and then they just went back to auto parts

Mobil 1 Rally Championship is an underrated game. I'm not saying it's CMR2, or even CMR1, level but it's a decent game. Really well illustrated. It has the British Rally Championship license and all sorts of tracks and cars that aren't found in the more popular games. The only issue, iirc - it's been a few years, is that on certain courses it felt like there was a magnet on either side of the road pulling you to that side the moment you departed the center line.

There were several Rally games that had the Vauxhall Astra "Kit Car", which sorta looks like a touring car... and, of course, Gran Turismo 2 had several Opel/Vauxhall touring cars, but I can't remember if it allowed you to run them on the rally stages...

Total Drivin literally has a class called “Rally”.

CMR2 looks far better with an actual PC version than the one presented on the video. He probably emulated PS1 games on a PC and increased the resolution.

Still my favourite game of the franchise. It had everything you'd want from a racing game. Shame my copy is too scratched :/

I would play the hell out of a remastered! Polyphony should make this happen
