Yeah I agree 100%! Some people complain that there wasn't a reason to make it elements and they should've just made it black and white people, but that would be a very bad idea for obvious reasons, and also we wouldn't have the "Get off your lazy ash" Joke
Well done, CineWave. I'm a 72 year oldl retried teacher with a passion for animation. For years I've given animation presentations to MS & HS art classes. Elemental was stunning, three nice story lines; Immigrants and family business, both my family. And, a lovely love story. I went to the theater 9 times to see it. (No record for me, Moana 84 times-I got free IMAX tickets) After it closed, I boght 6 posters and just now I'm erading The Art of Elemental hardcover. Like I said, well done.
I haven't watched the video yet but at the end of the movie I remember Bernie saying to Ember he would have more time for hanky panky, with Ember going to her new job. That made me laugh.
Ok but like still this movie was very funny I gotta admit and it got my whole family laughing adults and kids. 😂 We should all give this movie a good review to balance out the negative critique ones! It deserves more love!
Excellent video... but i do want to say that the theater scene was not a reaction to Fire-people... but rather the light coming off of her, in a dark theater. Absolutely right though that the community wasn't used to interacting with Fire-people... but I found it very interesting comparing the reactions towards Bernie and Sinder, when they first arrived, and when Ember was little, at the museum... versus "grown up" Ember. She could go anywhere, and wasn't ridiculed, or met with any unwelcoming glances or gestures on the train, any more than anyone else shoving their way through. We even see at the Firetown stop, many Fire-people having conversations with other Element-people. So sure, people weren't used to Fire-people, but they don't ostracize them either anymore. Ember had probably never been to a movie theater before, and had she known, probably would have dressed differently or pulled her hood to begin with. You'll notice the other patrons stopped staring and mumbling as soon as she pulls her hood, shading the light. Having been in many embarrassing similar situations at new-places... I totally get both sides. It was absolutely amazing, and found a way to address societal tension towards interactions and communicating in general, not just racially or anything that specific... which was beautiful to see. Take care, my friend!
I didn’t watch elemental yet, but I really want to and one of my family traditions is that every summer every weekend we have a cousins weekend because my family by a shore house
San Franciscan here: Chinese people were heavily discriminated against, and for a while they were forced to only live in chinatown. Get your facts straight.
Theyre different versions of the movie? I only saw Ember entering a train once, when chasing Wade, that scene on this video where shes relaxed ,wearing headphones, and the earth mother of four babies just didnt happen on the movie I saw.
@@RosheenQuynh in the scene with the game they were watching from the stands and they were wearing shirts and waving things around. The teams were “crop duster” and “wind breaker” which are common names for farts. Also, in a scene he signals a pull like a train whistle with his arm while holding his leg, making a “toot toot” vocal sound, and bending over, implying he is implying about his excitement to watch the team game through a funny bodily movement which describes one’s position while having flatulence.
I think i know how they reproduce!! don't worry it's not anything like we have in the real world. its a little bit different for each element... -- the earth element has a symbiotic relationship with the plants that grow on them, so when they are harvesting the edible plants that grow on them its for reproduction. after harvesting the plants there mate will then eat it ( seeds and all ). after the mate consumes the plant it will then grow inside of them, eventually they'll need a shovel to dig the baby out and therefore it can grow in a pot until the baby is fully grown they'll need to transplant it out into the world and then it'll grow up and then start the whole cycle all over again --the other three element's do the same but not the same as the Earth. it's really simple what happens is they enter a reproduction state, where all they have to do is touch their mate it doesn't matter where it could just be their finger or I could have just been bumping into them but anyways it's where they have a big bubble in their Center of there body's so when they touch it transfers a little bit of them over to their mate and then they have a little bit of their mate come into the bubble too and then eventually it will grow into a baby slowly developing and growing until it grows into a proper child eventually the bubble will start to slowly go forward until it reaches their belly and then the child will fall out into their hands and so then the vapor baby in the next video could be possible but it will have to have a fiery Heart surrounded by a bubble of water slowly evaporating into the vapor it's made of the question I don't know about is how other elements like Earth and air can have children so Cinewave please if you have any questions please reply
Different metals have different melting point temperatures. For instance, iron has a higher melting point than lead, and afai know, tungsten has the highest melting point of any elemental metal (no pun intended) on the periodic table. Not sure what alloys of two or more elements have higher melting points.
Hey one thing here that really undermines a lot of other positive things in this video. When you claim that things like china town and such form "naturally" and not from discrimination... please do more research first. These immigrant communities absolutely formed from discrimination. It's called redlining and even as recently as the past decade there are still places in the US that have these regulations in the books that allow the practice of "discouraging" or "encouraging" the sale of property to people of certain groups, often with charging higher fees or real estate agencies outright being told not to show certain houses to certain people. This practice leads to areas where you see a large population of specific ethnic groups gather because they often literally were not allowed to settle in other areas of a city or town due to legalized redlining or outright discrimination. These forms of separations in neighborhoods 100% were built on a form of discrimination and misinformation about this makes things harder for those who are trying to today break these practices as it downplays the very real issue many immigrant or ethnic communities still face today.
