Awesome video! From my point of view as a previous professional player, these exercises are particularly useful for beginners that we don't really practice ourselves when we started off. Glad to see some different stuff once in awhile, keeps it fun and interesting. Keep it up!
bro last year I was playing on the wall a lot. Day and night and I was like wow it actually helped me get better in the sport. So I'm really glad for that. And I realize that you put it in the guide.
Do you sometimes feel like you're a protagonist in a badminton movie, like nothing can stop me from practicing, or there's no limit to what I can do. It feels like that for me when I practicing with wall, and it is quite a motivation too.
I have a draft picking this week, and im up against one of my colleagues who has tournament experience while i only started after 3 years, i need to be better and im not wasting that position. This video helped me a lot especially for my practices. Wish me luck
1. Play with racket a lot - basic forehand backhand manoevre 2. generating power - generate power from weird angles 3/4. Move your opponent front and back, left and right - requires timing and accuracy 5/6. Practice lunging and 6 corner footwork - quickly move around the court so you can hit shots with perfect timing 7. Forehand, backhand low and high serves - varying serves allows deception 8. Jump when dropping or smashing - higher contact point = more speed and power 9.Spin net - improving the net shots 10. baseline forehand and backhand - when you are forced quickly to the back of the court.
I love japan love the culture, the people and most of all the food. My uncle stayed there for 27 years and told me to come visit him and I did. It was an amazing experience
Thank you brother! You've help me a lot😭. The story is, i love badminton sport,i know how to play but i don't know the rules the techniques and many more thing, i just knew how to play it in a very simple way. Next month, I'll have the tournament that i registered euphorically without knowing how to play with the rules especially in double playing. 😭 I just wanna pull out my registration , but your videos motivate and teach me a lots as a beginner. Thanks yaah😂
What I used to do is hang around the badminton court, and when I saw other playing groups playing, I asked if I could join and eventually I was in one of them!
We're having badminton module in school right now and I'm doing a wonderful job making a fool out of myself -- IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS, *INCLUDING* MY CRUSH. Edit: Random update but I think I may be improving slightly in badminton? I sound like a stalker but I was practising next to my crush and he was SO GOOD. Like smashing, jumping and everything. I felt bad for his opponent... But happy that I got to watch a movie lol.
First 1 to 9 & The 11th & 12th drills( tasks) were great! (The Backhand does not have to be Weak or Diificult as he says). This is dicourag8ng; Backhand can do Magic when executed with Confidence. Try to relax this Unpracticed side of the Body as you practice & Perform. - 2ndly some of the demonstrations shown can be refined and Practiced with a good coach. Good Luck n Keep Practicing these fundamentals regularly n over time.
Boss, your energy is amazing. i am a lazy player. i decided to improve after watching your videos. you are helping without costing to players. Thanks a lot
Great tutorial. It was nice to see all those different skills and also that even the best players can make mistakes and feel the frustration. I'm going to try most of those tips in the video with the exception of walking down the road or waiting for a bus while swinging my racket about. Other than that, great video and great tutorial. Keep up the good work.
It's a long process but generally a couple of ways 1) improve hand-eye coordination w drills- too important a foundation not be first 2) simple backhand techniques - backhand grip, then lifting, net then drives then net kill (basically front area shots are easier than mid and both are easier than back court. 3) simple footwork to compliment the backhand - single step, then eventually two steps, then three if required 4) Unpredictability - combining forehand and backhand in a random manner so that student can integrate the skills learnt. Can't rely on a comfortable setting to use backhand all the time 5) slowly progress to the backcourt to do baseline backhand recovery shots.

Sir Backhand clear and overhead shots I feel most difficult for me and my teammates too😔😔😔😔 Can you please guide us about the two shots mentioned above... We haven't any coach, sir Thanks for your video series. We are learning a lot from you...
Here let me Try to help you: 1- Can you Shadow( no Bird) Forehand( let's say Drop or A slow smash) with proper footwork 2- If YES, then Video tape it & Watch that! ( Watch it enough times and have more than One shot; say 2, or even 3. 3- By Now you should have seen yourself- moving ur Raquet from Top of ur Head to Follow up Downwards towards ur non- racquet feet![ Do you SEE this! Stop ur video just before as you RECOVER ur Stroke back to Next overhead shot! 4- Now you are ready to learning, Practicing & Performing The BACKHAND![ you say How?] 5-A Backhand is somewhat exactly the REVERSE Direction of The FOREHAND DROP , I mentioned earlier. ( What is Not REVERSED is your BODY MUSCLE) The Muscles that are involved are What they call COMPLIMENTARY or PAIRING Mucles to execute A REVERSE Muscle action.( Like How Biceps & Triceps work; One Contracts, the Other Relaxes) IMPORTANT: 6) Now START at The End of the Step3 and WORK backwards to #1- Be AS relaxed as possible. [[ Ur Backhand pairing need to be Developed and coordinated, including The legs & feet) Practice makes Perfection. Hope this makes sense.
Right so I play volleyball quite a bit and I am also interested in badminton and me and my friend were playing against our teacher in this badminton school club we have which goes on at dinner, and when I was playing he was obviously teaching us on how to be better and he told me specifically that I should be working more on my attacking shots and literally no less than 2 minutes later I accidentally did a full on spike to his back right corner as if I was in volleyball but with the badminton racket obviously. I was so proud of myself
I actualy just started playing badminton and I just used the wall and my father was like. "what we need 2 players for this!" And then I said " the wall is the second player"
Brother, can u please make a video explaining how to hit the shuttle with the perfect area of the racket and not on the side, i really like the way u guides in the video, i am just a beginner too!!
Great video as always. Can you please make a front back footwork tutorial like in 5:20? Especially running backward. I can't seem to find a video that teach this technique. It is always 6 corners. Thanks!
I made a three-part series for the backcourt footwork as I noticed the same thing you did too! Here's the link to the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vp1DmL6_LS8.html It takes a while to get the balance when you're running backwards, however, you'll want to eventually progress to a chasse when moving backwards. Good luck Charlie!
here are my 12 things to become a better badminton player as fast as possible: 1. move your feet 2. stay very low and work deeply from your legs at all times 3. practice 1 and 2 above often and intensely without a racket or shuttle 4. move your feet 5. stay very low and work deeply from your legs at all times 6. practice 4 and 5 above often and intensely without a racket or shuttle 7. move your feet 8. stay very low and work deeply from your legs at all times 9. practice 7 and 8 above often and intensely without a racket or shuttle 10. move your feet 11. stay very low and work deeply from your legs at all times 12. practice 10 and 11 above often and intensely without a racket or shuttle
When I try to play against the wall, the shuttle always hits the wall and spins in random directions. It doesn't return straight back to the player as shown in this video. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I get confused while defending smashes to my dominant side since I prefer keeping a backhand grip while defending. I get caught in an awkward position. Pls help.
I might be late but you might stop giving the opponent high shuttles, which would secure you from more smashes. Maybe a shot near the net but on your opponent's side would help, and then you'd be able to flick when they send the shuttle back to you
