THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN! Do not use more than a tiny spot for children, it is toxic when absorbed through the skin by applying to a larger area!

In our home, when growing up, my mother always had Vicks on hand. Whenever we were getting a cold, out comes the Vicks! I keep it in my home for other uses also. I get headaches, so that is one of the uses for me, besides others! Thanks for the info. Really is an Amazing product!! 🥰
Dry cracking thick toenails works wonders! Took a year, but I have healthy looking toenails now. I also sanded the toenails to a perfect thickness and kept applying.
It works to bring a boil to a head very quickly. Painlessly. A Doctor friend told me about this. It is a drawing salve, and it draws the boil out quite quickly, too.
I used to apply Vicks under my nose at bedtime to help breathe. My cat loved to lick my finger after the Vicks was applied! Then my doctor said not to use it all the time because one can become addicted. But, I still have Vicks for other uses and after this video, even more uses!
It also CURES ECZEMA and PSORIASIS! I had eczema so bad my hands were bleeding. Out of desperation I began rubbing in Vicks Vaporub twice a day. In about two weeks, the eczema was completely gone and it hasn't returned, after about 10 years.
@@candysmith8724 Air and water pollution were virtually non-existent back then. The soil for growing and the drinking water weren't tainted back then either.
I had a sebaceous cyst on my back on the waist belt line. Applied vicks vapour rub for about 2 months although it hasn't gone completely it causes no discomfort and has reduced it dramatically .
I grew up with Vicks Vaporub in my parents' household. Even now as a mother, it's a part of our household. I am so amazed with its versatility and realized only at this point the many other uses it offers. Impressive video! Very informative. Kudos!
So many enthusiastic remarks! I feel the same. My mom or dad would rub Vicks on my chest and put a white flannel towel around it. Worked like a charm. Vicks can heal small cuts, chapped lips, rough hands. Every medicine cabinet should have a jar.
I can't help but to say that you are absolutely certainly completely entirely fully totally most beautiful breathtaking elegant exquisite and there are just not enough adjectives in The Dictionary to describe you:)! And yes I always keep at least 2 jars of Vicks Vapor Rub all of the time:)!
It erases wrinkles, too. Yep, it tightens the skin. It's a fantastic moisturizer, too. I've been using it for years. And received many compliments on my skin. Who'd have thought!?
@@thequeenmyselfgrace9788 I get a little dab on my finger and dot it around my face. Then rub in like a moisturizer. If there's too much I wipe it off with a tissue. Always use immediately after a shower. Right after drying face with a towel. While skin is still damp. I do put it almost to the lower lashes, but not quite. It'll make my eyes water if I get too close. I don't put it below the eyebrows or on the upper eyelid. Or the lips. But the rest of the face, yes. Under the jaw and down the neck, too. The smell fades quickly. No one ever knew I wore it to work. They just said my skin looked great.
Sometimes i feel an intense itch on my skin that makes me want to scratch it, but its better to apply Vicks to make the itch go away. Also, use Vicks on a cotton swab to remove earwax from your ears. The earwax appears as a brown stain on the swab. When the brown stain is gone, the earwax is gone.
These are great - I use it on my feet when I have a dry cough. It some on the bottom of feet - put cotton socks on. You won’t cough until you take your socks off. It really works
I learned in Nursing School, to always carry a small jar in my pocket. Before doing something that you know will be unpleasant, put some under your nose. Makes bedpan cleaning, dressing changes, and other stinky jobs easier, and less smelly
I use it to help me breathe. Haven't used asthma meds in years. My mother told me it's what her granny used or she made her own so I tried it. I also use it on my toenails and have recently started using it on my belly and legs.
It’s also a great way to get rid of persistent boyfriends, use on your neck instead of perfume. It works every time. Great idea for people with teenagers.
I am Puerto Rican, i grow up with Vicks. Every Latino person i know have a jar of Vicks. I always have at least 3 jars in my house. I can't live without. THANKS VICKS.
@@dalondabaker2121 yes Rub on chest and back Place a clean and dry face cloth or piece of flannel on top the rub. Sleep with it on. Really works Our generation have been doing this for years. And also a cup of hot toddy works too.
I am 70 years old. When I was a kid, if I got a cold or sore throat, my father used to give me a spoonful of Vicks to eat. Until about age 12, I had eaten MANY jars of Vicks for this purpose. It’s a miracle that I am still alive.
I've always heard how well Vucks works. It got rid of the fungus on my toenails and fingernails. My mother-in-law used it for headaches and she always carried a small jar in her pocket.
Works for cold sores and warts, too! The camphor in Vick’s is also the same ingredient in Campho-Phenique, a medicine made for cold sores. It dries them up, and alleviates the itching and tingling. As far as the warts, just dab some Vaporub on the wart every day, cover it with a bandage, and it will be gone in a week or so (depending on the size of the wart).
Yessir! I used an off brand & it was almost instantaneous relief for my neck & shoulder pain. I was so happy when I found that cheap trick out!! It works!!
My husband would wash his feet with Ivory soap. Thoroughly dry his feet and then rub Vicks into the fungus. The nurse said this worked better than any of the other medicines. Took about 6 months.
I'm Black and in all our households we used Vicks cough drops, Vicks congestion sniff sticks, Vicks rub in the steam humidifiers, and of course the original Vicks chest rub!!😉
As I understand it, most of Vicks VapoRub is Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline). Petroleum Jelly can be used to keep away insects - I used it to keep fleas off me a few years ago by rubbing some on my body, the fumes generated by body heat keeps them away. I also used it to clear up skin fungal infections. The camphor and other stuff in VapoRub probably helps with the other things mentioned in the video.
I ran out of vaseline last week for slugging and had no option but to reach out for Vicks. Little did I know that it has petrolatum, as the ingredients listed didn't mention it. But, I am happy to learn from you that it contains petroleum jelly. Thanks for sharing this valuable piece of information!
I shouldn't do this but I inhale this every night to help me prevent getting sick. I had a really bad virus infection for a month and this saved me! Thanks, Vicks! 😊
I used Vick’s on a really deep 2nd degree sunburn and it took the heat and pain away. It took months for the purple burns to fade away, but the pain and soreness were gone within a week.
Vicks has been in our family for over 100 yrs. Every home should have a jar! It truly works wonders. Ty for sharing the memories of wonderful vick vapor rub & all t does & can do! 😊❤
Growing up my parents used this for every cold, flu, cough, etc.. From rubbing it on your chest & neck to under each nostril, but the most effective when battling a bad cold with fever & chills, etc, my Mom (she was also an RN) would slather Vicks on our feet then pull on warm cotton socks (out of the dryer, ahhh!) then a a 2nd pair if big fuzzy socks! I swear we called it the "Cure" and it really works, still use it to this day. I always have a Big Jar of Vicks in my medicine cabinet. It doesn't surprise me that its got so many more hacks, its the miracle rub! 🛀🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I use this on my kids when they are sick of cold.I rub on their soles and wear socks overnight and they sleep so well. Also rub on their chest. Its a miracle rub.
I put it on the bottom edge of my bedroom door when my grandma's female dog was in heat. Calmed my male dog down instantly. He's fixed now but at the time it was a relief cause he was going crazy to get to her.
I use Vicks to keep away cold sores. Whenever I feel like I'm getting cold sore, I applied Vicks to my lips, and it stops the outbreak, but you must use it before you get the outbreak.
yes i actually had tried vicks for Mosquito bites, head ache, feet problems, pain relieve, muscle tore marks(under arms after gym), bruised areas, ichy areas, cure small burns, and much more!!
i concur with most of this. I have been using vicks since forevr and i use it for bruishes, insect bites, muscle pains, throat pain, ear ache, rub it in my head for head aches, use under feet, rub on eye lids if i cant fqll asleep yep, and many other uses..
I use Vicks, just plain old Vicks for RLS--Restless Leg Syndrome. That is a condition when you are awakened from sleep with leg twitches. The funny thing is where the Vicks is applied--you rub a small amount on the instep of each foot, and then put sox on and go back to sleep. It works right away, every time.
Thanks for mentioning RLS. I've been having leg muscle twitches nightly lately. Was sure I was getting Parkinson's. Hadn't even thought of RLS as being the possible problem! What a relief. I'm going to try rubbing on the soles of my feet with sox on. I have a feeling this will help! Thanks for posting.👍
Thanks for putting this up it was very helpful my 8 year old daughter was crying about her ear I'm so happy I had this on hand it worked right away for her time for some sleep
I can't help but to say that you are absolutely certainly completely entirely fully totally most beautiful breathtaking elegant exquisite and there are just not enough adjectives in The Dictionary to describe you:)! And yes I keep at least 2 jars of Vicks Vapor Rub all of the time:)!
Vicks is a tradition on my family for winter colds. I rug it on my chest and even put some inside my nose, it helps cough and reliefs breathing. Now I did not know all the other uses. Seems is a magical product and most people do not even know...
This stuff works great on removing the white fungus from toe nails. Put on the toe nail twice a day for a week and the fungus is gone. Another tip for removing warts that my aunt used. Wash the wart area with Ajax or Comet powder detergent. After rinsing dampen wart and cover with Ajax. Do this 2 to 3 times a day and within a month the wart's gone.
Love this salve it is indeed a miracle. I'm 76 it has been around longer. Mom would rub on chest for a cold throat for a sore throat. I had bad ear achs.she put Vickson a old cloth heat it place it on my ear I'd fall asleep the ear ach would go away. Helps stop cats from scratching furniture to.
I use to take care of an old lady who said when she was a girl they use to take a teaspoon of by mouth for a cold and cough. I myself still put it on the bottom of my feet if I have a cough or cold.
If you're indian, you know that your parents would rather use this on you rather than going to a doctor! #EthnicParents Edit: Omg, thanks everyone for the 42 likes, bless you all! Edit2: OMG WHAT THE HECK THANK YOU ALL FOR THE 400 LIKES!!!
You speak the truth yaar ! I thought my Indian Family was the only one who was addicted to Vicks ! but now I see that all Indians are Vicks-aholics ! Can we say Vicks-aholics Anonymous ?! indeed we can !
Yes Vicks will remove the visible signs of toenail fungus, but it may return, mine did. My toenail came loose from the toe, except at the very base, and all the cruft was gone. After I discontinued treatment the toenail reattached so I did not lose it but within a few weeks the signs of the fungus had returned. I have since heard that I should have continued the vicks application until the toenail fell off and let a new one form but unfortunately I have more than one infected toenail and I wasn't sure that toenails would grow back under that condition and I wasn't sure what the implications were of missing toenails.
I put vicks on my forehead that has countless acne every night (because i love the menthol feeling) and noticed that the acne on my forehead started disappearing and my bestfriend noticed too.☺
Vicks is our first aid in our house since I was a little girl & become mother too even my children always there's a Vicks in their home like me,,thank you Vicks vaporub!!
I swear it's helped my general well-being lately. So I've been using it for repellant, deodorant, ichy feet, headaches, decongestant for breathing of course, cold sores, pains, moisturiser... Hmm I've even put it on the ends of my hair. Hope there's no negative effects from using it multiple times a day...
I often have a headache Sometimes I feel dizzy while working I just need to inhale it and makes me better gradually So I always have vicks in me It is very helpful😊
I add a few drops of menthol, camphor and eucalyptus oil into the Vicks jar for pain relief and reduction of swelling on an arthritic knee. Always slept better after massaging it in.
i’m a big fan of vicks, but just recently found out that when you have a toothache putting vicks on my check and under my chin relieved my pain. it amazes me what vicks can act do. i also have RA and if and when i have a flare up i always use vicks.
