#12 - Using the UX Series Cameras via Network Remote Control 

You'd think there would be a version of the app to run on a desktop or laptop computer by now. That would be real handy for my operations. Putting 3 or 4 cameras on a network, opening an instance of the app for each camera on the same computer. Copying settings from one camera to another with a couple of clicks. Or globally updating the same settings on all cameras at the same time. Ah well, one can always dream.

Hi Barry. Thanks for all the great videos. I have a HC X1. Are there videos available for that camera. My main issue today is controlling focus when I'm taping myself for PSA's etc. I do use a monitor but outdoor work is difficult. Any advice for a basic setup/settings? Thanks.

When using the app. Does the camera loose all local controls? Or is there a way to still have focus and zoom control from the camera and iris control and other adjustments from the app?

Little Tipp: Install the App first! before connecting to the Camera... why? if the iPad is connectet to the camera, there is no internetconnection because it's no longer conectet to the router. Those pople who follow this instructions "step-by-step" and are not familiar with "network stuff" (tablets, wifi, internet, ...) may run into "can't connect to appstore" ;-)

Why in the world would you only make this very important feature available only to 12% of the market share?
