I love watching your videos, and the only one I have seen so far that explain when to plant in other zones. Nobody else do this. Big Kudos to you and keep it up. Other youtubers think that everyone has the same soil and the nice temperatures like they do, not here in big Tex it is 107 degrees in Aug 2nd.
Thank you, Jag. Planting our own food is fun and necessary nowadays with the price of food. I have been watching your videos for years. We live in Madera, CA. My husband and I was overjoyed when you bought your farm. Maybe we will visit Daisy Creek Farms one day. I pray you never see drought conditions. All the best to you.
Good list 👍 I've recently harvested shallots and garlic from a raised bed, and am debating whether to grow kale in it over Autumn/Winter, or rest it until next Spring, and grow a green manure crop on it, to dig in over winter. Gotta give something back to the soil 🤔
Are there any gardening books you recommend that detail the basics of gardening such as correct ph levels for soil type, watering scheduling, correct soil type, minerals needed per plant, etc.?
Yes, depending on your zone subtract 10 days for every zone difference. Zone 4 would be Aug 30 - 50 days, which is second week of July. You can still grow radish, lettuce, and some other veggies in Aug that take a month or two to harvest, Checkout this video on 12 vegetables you can harvest in 30 days ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P4c-LVt678s.html
