Hey Ben. Thought I’d just drop you a note to say that I’m 4 weeks post surgery from the same injury. It’s been helpful to me to hear your story and see your progress. Whilst my Bali surf trip next week won’t turn out as originally planned, I am pushing through and focussed on recovery. Thanks for sharing your story.

Hey ben, when are you going to shave your head, and why haven't you been to g land. I don't know that you know it's a whole other level you haven't experienced. Your going to grow old and never surf the iconic g land?. I just went 90 days with 2 broken ribs. Dry spells suck. Hope you feel better .

Ben Gravy, I am very happy to hear the good news you received being able to get back in the water. I myself have been out of surfing for nearly three months due to a bad reaction from antibiotics, which resulted in tendonitis affecting both bicep tendons. Although the pain in my shoulders hurt, it hurts more emotionally not being able to surf. I have come to admire the Ben Gravy style six years ago due do your unique novelty surfing, but more because of the way you bring the Aloha Spirit wherever you go. You are truly an inspiration to the surfing community and to everyone else far and beyond! We all got to witness everything you accomplished in the past years and cannot wait to see what’s ahead! Get stronger than ever Big Dog and like the little man said the claim is Living The Dream!! Aloha Ben Gravy, Jordan, and Dennis! Chee Hoo !!

Ben, dude, don’t rush this. I know you’re anxious. However, this is seriously for realss..you should wait 6mo minimum before RTW returning to work (surfing). Nothing about surfing is “light-duty.” At 4mo you should start lap-swimming in addition to continued physical therapy progression. I’m scared for you, man. Please, Ben! Don’t rush this

I have been wanting to get back into surfing . I moved 2 hours away from the beach some 30 years ago and that mostly ended my surfing . I would go on rare occasion but like you said surfing shape is its own thing . I mountain bike regularly and that did not translate into the ocean . Now maybe swimming but what maybe a good way to start is paddling in a lake . You could do a boogie board in a pool to get stronger. I think getting back in the water I would just padel and not into waves . Maybe over a bit graduate up to a long board in small waves to paddle into . I just would not make it a one some game . Surfing and not surfing . Make it a process leading up to surfing and I think being in the water would be helpful.

Doing a lot of those same physio exercises while recovering from some injuries...about ready to start paddling too now and plan on surfing again soon! Don't feel too pressured and rush it...keep putting in the physio work and keeping it real.

Stoked you get to surf soon! I’m getting out of walking boot this week. I’m so pumped! It’s been a journey for me as well.

You are doing great Ben, just know cell growth can only move a certain speed, have patience, nice seeing a new surf shop open up, good luck to the owner.

I was out this morning on Orchid Island hunting for novelty dreamers and now I'm back home watching this happy news, congratulations Ben on the recovery! I also wanted to tell you I snagged the last Gravy Shred Sled at Catalyst this past week for my nephew and it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen, wish they had these when I was a grom they are way too fun. I love you Ben. I've loved your content. I love that you inspire so many people. I love that you are able to live your dream of surfing and make a good living out of it. That all said maybe just maybe with one major injury after another, maybe the universe is telling you to stop doing that. That. This doesn't mean that your dream has to be over. It just means that your dream becomes a new dream. Your top quality is inspiring others. It's not surfing in the least bit. You will never be one of the top surfers in the world, nor does that matter. It's your enthusiasm the way you treat people the way you love life. I for one want you to live your dream and if that's surfing fine. But at some point when the universe is telling you stop, you might want to listen.
