Davey Robinson you’re talking about chattahoochee college in the one picture, but that’s the college he took classes at before going to georgia tech, which is the one he’s touring in the video and has an acceptance rate of 21.5%
Not necessarily, in my experience, there are three kinds of smart people, the ones that grasp information quickly, the ones that are very good at problem solving, and the last one is both. Sure, he's most definitely underexaggerating his intelligence but that doesn't mean there isn't any truth in his answer.
Information retention is a critical component to intelligence. Someone else also mentioned problem solving. I totally agree. Mental creativity, connection building, pattern recognition, and synthesis of new ideas are kind of like capstones of intelligence.
My daughters are the same way. It's SO ODD.. They know EVERY capital of ever city in every country and are 9 and already doing 8th grade and freshman work. 1 openly says she will be president and the other want to be a CIA analyst. They are homeschooled by a retired teacher.
and the sad thing is the universitu he attends or just his educational foundation he will think white. The problem here is his intelligence isnt uplifting the black ráce they should not give tbeir child away to these white schools. Whites own our entertainment athletism etc. We need his intelligence for the enrichment of the black family
@tester123532456 With common core its actually better if you don't know math at all... American education is a joke, and so are their media. No one can do fractions at 2, i doubt any two year old even understands the decimal number system in use...
You can learn math on www.khanacademy.org/ It's free! You can start at the lowest level, and work your way up. I used the Khan Academy a lot when I decided to go back to school. Now I am studying calculus 3.
@@kit2130 it's responsible parenting, you show example how to treat others. In life, if you don't have skills, you'll die. Ask the kid, and expecially the father, he'll know
He is humble, well mannered, and yes, he is very smart. And did you hear what his mother said? Not bragging, not pretentious... She just wants him to be a good husband, a good father, a good friend... That's why Caleb is the way he is. Good job parents.
He's basically saying that he isn't inventive - he just comprehends what he is taught and learns quickly. I suspect the inventive side will bloom over time.
@@TheSelfHelpTube Yes we know he's brilliant just from luck of the draw, but he also is clearly a very humble and well behaved person which is likely due to how his parents raised him. I imagine many child prodigies can easily be full of themselves from their intelligence, op is just saying even his attitude is very well developed due to his parents
I went to elementary school with him. When he was about 2 or 3, he came to our Kindergarten class and started reading with us. He was obviously reading harder material, and about a week later, he was moving up to the higher grades. He was a sweet kid, and I'm glad to see that he is going far in life.

These parents are doing it right. Their child is one of the smartest on the planet. They're not saying, "we want him to be a great doctor or lawyer or engineer". Of course they want those things for him; hence, aerospace engineering. That's not their focus, though. As you heard them say, "make sure when he is an adult that he'll make a great HUSBAND, or great FATHER, or great FRIEND one day." They're raising their son to be a great father, husband, friend first and great engineer second. That's the way it should be. Just my opinion. Kudos to the parents!

@vpn rockies 1. I never said that having loving parents is solely responsible for his success. I meant to say that proper parenting and nurturing allows children to thrive and succeed. 2. Articulation doesn't really account for intellect. That's just environment. That is why many extremely smart people who grow up in rural or areas where "Ebonics or Appalachian" is spoken get overlooked. Ronnie Coleman, 8 time Mr. Olympia: graduated with honors in accounting - a BS degree at Grambling. He was the editor of the college paper. He played middle linebacker for Grambling. After graduating he looked for an accounting job for 3 years and no one would hire him. He has a thick accent. After winning 8 Olympias, he wrote a book. People say that's a very good book, who edited it. He says, "I wrote and edited the whole thing." See people think he's uneducated because he has a thick Lousiana accent. Not because of his intelligence, it's just where he grew up.
@@jasonito23 being articulate and having a thick accent is not mutually exclusive. Based on what you said the person you referred to was was in fact articulate! But he was discriminated against because of his accent. Because a lot of ignorant people think that if you have a certain accent that makes you dumb or less than, that's false.
I grew up in the "Hood" & One of my friends in Jr High was in my advanced class. I skipped 1 grade and he skipped 2. I lost track of him in High School. Turns out he never graduated. His mother got hooked on drugs, his father was never there. There are a lot of smart kids but not all of them have good parents. Almost all of these prodigies have well engaged parents.
The neighborhood environment can adds to the problem but some times if a child dream is strong enough they can look beyond that enviroment that why hope is about.

I have the ability to grasp things faster than most people, but I excel at it in sports. This guy got the same ability and is using it for academics. But I'd rather just use it for something I like than for something I dislike. I'm pretty sure it's relatable to superpowers. Sometimes your gifted the ability to pick up sports extremely fast. Sometimes you get the ability to pick up academics really fast. Sometimes you split the ability for academics and sports. The scale goes from 1-10 for each of these and this guy got the 10 for academics. OR your just another person living your life tryhardin to make it to the top.
NoMarz Colony that would be photographic memory. Intelligent is how well you can solve something without any prior learning. Basically an iq test would be a good indication.
@NoMarz Colony I guess that just depends on how you view the definition of "smart" because I though it was only meant to be another way of saying intelligence with no emotional iq involved. People view the word differently though and I guess it could also include emotional intelligence
hes not smart if mom and dad are paying his bills and putting food on the table, hes just another lost boy with fake media story. so smart hes wearing a mask yet don't even know why or the health consequences or the free masonic satanic initiation into the new system but hes soooo smart.
His parents are incredible as well. They have proven that your child "SHOWS" you who they are and what they need. Cheers to their excellent parenting for him!
We did have this up until late 60’s early 70’s .. this is what the american system plotted to destroy back then (break up the Black family and get the Black Strong Father out of the house and away from the children, leaving young boys and men to possibly be raised by a woman) .. you see the affects of those efforts today (gangs, jail, crime, school drop outs, etc) .. I’m glad the Lord has Blessed this family for a Great Example and Reflection of that Era for Black Family Life in America!! .. Big Ups Caleb!!!
Ironically, this great idea is opposed to the view of BLM who's website states to "disrupt the nuclear family". I noticed the father was wearing that on his mask. But yes, good healthy families with a present father are so so important to the future or young men and women. 💯
@@brickcitynetwork i disagree. We did it to ourselves. We allowed our music and movies to dictate the sexual revolution was ok for us too. I’m so glad he has parents who have understood him and been so supportive. The world needs a genius like this young man. He will have a PhD before he is 20!
I think this is all based on genes. Any genius have parent who 'are' geniuses, or have hidden genius potential, so naturally they would be able to relate to their child.
@Axlerod Horowitz In my humble opinion, I wasn’t trying to be political. There are some undereducated people on both sides. I’d like to think that we stand stronger as a united country. All for one, one for all.
Well X (and Y and any alphabet)is a variable. It's value can change as the expression changes but the equation will remain same. This is not a prodigy, its just a matter of proper learning.
"I just grasp information quickly" Bruh. That's like being a billionaire and telling normal people:"I'm not really rich, I just grow my funds rapidly."
He is right. Just because you get good grades doesn't mean your intelligent. All school is, is how well you can take information and apply it which takes no intelligence but only memory.
"I'm not smart, I just retain and pick up on information very quickly" He says.. That in itself separates him from over 90%. His attention span is godlike compared to the attention span of a adult or even a college student. If he can be that smart so can every other human some just choose to stay dumb. But I'll tell you what Einstein ...I am not only "smart" but also "rich" ...so if you can demonstrate that *YOU* can actually BE THAT SMART ...since you say that *"so can EVERY other human being"* ...I will happily send $100,000 to your Paypal account ...or pay you in Bitcoin. So this should be EASY for you since YOU are obviously one of those _"EVERY OTHER HUMANS"_ you speak of! So please go for it ...just *BE THAT SMART* and earn 6 figures! EASY PEEZEE right Einstein?
His mom was concerned that she wanted her son to be a good father and a good husband, not necessarily a rich or successful on the career level Now that’s a great parent
@Science Basketball Or just a strong 2-parent household with either 2 strong dads, 2 strong moms, both a strong mom and dad, or 2 strong trans parents, because in reality, its really about the parents influence and in the black community, we need more of that strong influence to do better.
Talking with Caleb must be a lot if fun. I love how his parents wants him to succeed, but they work together to protect his childhood. And who he is as a person "now" so when he gets older he will be prepared to make his own choices as an adult. I hope everything works out for them.

@Shelley Fitch U might suggest problems such as world hunger.. but you also have to look his 1) what his interests are 2) what he's actually good at (if he's not as good nor have interest in biology).. why would you think he can work on solving world hunger.. I should also mention that is a bit far fetched to expect such dramatic scientific progress with some of these issues regardless of genius child solving these problems or not
@Shelley Fitch from the video I have yet to see any expressed interest or mentioning that he is strong in biology.. which I assume is what most of the world problems revolve around.. hea strong in math and physics I assume given his entrance into aerospace. Also it maybe farfetched for anyone to expect some of these major problems to be solve so easily.. scientific progress doesn't necessarily move that quick.
From what I understand (and I’m an ignorant person), world hunger is much more of a politics, academia, logistics and farming problem than anything else. We actually produce way more food than needed for human consumption. You need an all-in effort to fix it. Even then, things happen, people are imperfect, wars happen, people die. Some things that maybe can help are... - Local food production. This reduces the need for food to be shipped on large transport networks. This allows for crops that don’t ship well to be grown by the people who need the food. You can select and breed native and exotic food plants for certain areas and apply growing practices that are adapted to each area, each neighborhood, each farm, each backyard (home gardens are the biggest thing here! Massively improves food security.) For cold areas, using cheap season extenders (think fruit walls, wallipinis, hoop houses, geothermal greenhouses) can help in winter where food diversity would otherwise decline. Livestock should also be incorporated into this, as each animal has important functions that can help with the overall food yield if you take advantage of them. - Build good transportation networks to assist areas when they suffer economy downturns, bad weather like droughts and disasters. Making air travel faster, cheaper, more efficient could help with delivering fresh fruit and veg. - For times of extreme stress where it may not be possible to support another child, furtherance of Martha Vogeli’s research on male contraception should be pursued. If the contraception she discovered continues to show to be temporary, safe, and effective, then almost every family would have a non-abortifacient, very inexpensive, very effective (if done properly, 99.9%+) contraception that doesn’t interfere with the intimate life, and doesn’t have harmful side effects. This is unlike the current methods employed. The only thing that would get in the way of this would be the massive incentive to block it by the existing contraceptive industry, and the unfamiliar aspect of trying something new. The former could lead to intentionally bad studies funded by said companies that then get publicized through their money, and dissuade families/couples from using this method. But those are just my long rambling thoughts.
That's awesome. He has caring supportive parents. And has the opportunity to change the world. The sky is the limit. Well done. Hope to see greater things from this young bright man.
This kid is truly a genius, but a lot of really bright, really smart people are somewhat eccentric, without ill effects. Even a "normal" person can be slightly unconventional, without adverse consequences.
This is an amazing story. I just hope that he gets a chaperone that walks him around the college campus and stays with him in class. Perhaps a responsible college student who could guide him because he is still a child. May God bless him and his family.
It's never about the money though. It's education for education's sake. He'll probably advance aerospace engineering during his prime. Of course, he'll get a lot of money, it just comes with the job.
I know for sure, He was so cute when reading as a baby!! I wish him good luck in the future and at the same time I congratulate his parents for the good work they have done from my heart. He reminds me of my adopted girl from Ghana which now she's 34 years old with a PhD in mechanical engineering . This clearly shows that the color of the skin has nothing to do with the intelligence of any man, Let show this to those ignorant racists white supremacy who at this time still believe that the white race is superior. And for those who read this and think I'm black for speaking well of a black family, I have news for you, I'm green eyes white man 6' 4" Cuban Italian married to a beautiful and very dark Nigerian women for over 29 year and we have 3 boys and an adopted girl from Ghana which we adore just like ours. So please don't think about going there..
@Kenneth Gaiter fun fact, Hitler and the germans actually liked black people, he was even excited to meet jesse owens during the 1936 olympics, many fans were excited to see him too, and he was sponsored by Adi Dassler the creator of adidas at the time.
Kudos to this young man’s parents. They not only want him to be a genius in his books, they want him to be a great husband and father....an all around good man. He is a gem and so are his mom and dad.
This kid’s definitely got some talents, but if his parents didn’t promote his growth in his early years like they did, he wouldn’t be where he is today. That’s what all kids need - a place and family where they can develop their talents.
I couldnt agree more. All parents should do the same for their children. Given a chance with similar early stimulation, all children are intelligent - please note i disnt say suoer bright like this boy
I like that he actually wants to learn. So many other stories such as this stem from the parents forcing their children to learn so fast and be the best there is to be. Getting the grades, but ultimately hating school as a whole. I wish nothing but the best for this kid, and may he find success anywhere he goes. As well as make this world a much better place with something he might develop!
Yesssss. There are cultures that forces career moves on a child before they can even grasp the concept, and as a result and for the sake of rebellion, they end up doing something completely different just to spite their parents.
you have no idea how hard it is to be the parent of a kid that is actually genius and love learning. literally everybody ( teacher, other parent …) just assume you are a pushy parent or that the kid is not really that smart
One thing that comes through from this is not just his intelligence and ability to grasp things quickly, but he comes across very humble and kind. Amazing kid!
What a uplifting story of a couple of awesome parents who love their children and see what is "different" in him and expanded on it instead of stifling it because it isn't what is "normal". Sounds like his parents will be their to guide him through this college situation so that he won't feel like his that anomaly he felt in middle school. Great job parents! And awesome job Caleb Anderson!

You can go through the entirety of youtube and see it. I've taken to calling it the 'death drive'. Its like there is a subset of people who exist that craves destruction, death, suffering and anything negative in life. Those people seem to enjoy when something horrible is happening and identify with the whatever is inflicting those negative things and they dislike whenever people are experiencing positive emotions or accomplishing anything and they try to downplay or attack those people or circumstances.
