This amp did really good! i must have tested it 20 times in a row and then slapped the hell out of that subwoofer for a bit. It held up nice and delivered the power every time. If interested in a 1200.1d, Visit www.skaraudio.com or www.wccaraudio.com to order.

Awesome! Some people think Skar is just cheap knock-off stuff, but its been tested again and again and puts out rated power everytime! ***Just dont clip the crap outta it! *** NOTHING will stand up to Clipping for an extended period of time!

my buddy has 2 12’s from skar with the 1200 watt amp and they HIT. hes had them for ab a year and still running strong so if yall are saying they suck and they blow quick thats something wrong on your part

Been watching Steve Meade since he first started with the Tahoe shaking windows at drive thru's lol! Keep up the awesome videos. I personally run a skar audio RP 1500.1 on a sundown audio sa12 and love it its not the biggest or the baddest but it's a well built quality budget amplifier and has given me no problems whatsoever.

I freaking love skar amps!! I have four Ct sounds tropo 10's and two marine skar audio 1500.1 rp.. 2 subs per amp and both wired to one ohm and each sub rated at 900 watts max and I been beating the hell out of it and ik it's bad but I have stock alternator but one yellowtop optima I keep charged but it's been over a year now and still beating in my 3 to1 fourth order but the moral of the story is skar amps are 💪💪💪

@@AnAngryMuppet89 on Skars website the SDR 12 can handle 1200 max/600 rms, so the 1200.1d at 1 ohm would be good and the 1500.1d would be plenty of power with extra left over.

I got this amp and 2 of their shallow 10s in a little down fire ported box under back seat of crew cab silverado. Same amp kit. Pioneer HU. Nothing major , but something for me to get in that zone for a bit when im not loaded with kids. I have atleast 2 -3 hours windshield time everyday in 100°+ 90%humidity of East Texas and I run THE SHIT outta them and it ain't no joke. My littlest boy is always outside when I come to get him because he hears me half a mile down the road 😁😎

I have 1 Skar zvx-12v2 with a Skar 1500.1D pushing it. That being said, it hits very hard but I’m also a bit of a rookie. I’ve had them both for a few years and they haven’t let me down. Great equipment 👍🏻

I've always been a Sundown guy but I just recently bought 2 12" skar vxf subwoofers. These things pound and for the price it's a better value compared to the Sundown SA subs. IMO.

I had 2 VD10 at 4 Ohm, Wired down to 2 Ohm and they handled about 1200 watts for three years. Lots of travenling across country and eveything and one of them started going out but I would slam them every day as hard as they would go for hours a day, great subs for cheap.

Just got my 1200.1 the other day, I knew that it was capable of pushing at least 1,600 from other amp dyno and Steve just proved that fact. Its a compact beast! If it's skar audio' and says 1200 watts RMS best believe.. I cant imagine what the 4500.1 will do??

I've got 2 of these amps, one is powering an SDR-12 (2 ohm DVC) in a ported box that I built, and the other powers 2 SDR-12 in a Skar built box (bought it to see if I would like a ported box. Yep, I'm sold). Very impressed with Skar audio products. And by the way, the single SDR-12 is handling the power of that RP.1200-1D that it's wired to fine, but of course, I do have the bass knob turned down.

I got an RP-800.1 pushing an SVR-12D2 wired to 1ohm. The amp gain is set at 25-26volts. That shit hits hard and smooth. I have only had it together for a week and love it.

You are correct; audio back then was low wattage and extremely high priced! My first system in high school was in my Honda CRX that included “the Punch 45” amp and (1) “the Punch 15” sub” and luckily I took carpentry 1 & 2 in Vo-Tech so I was able to build my own enclosure that was to spec and perfect! Now in my area of South Ms. everybody else was still installing (4) Pioneer/Kenwood 6”x9” speakers with big Pioneer/Kenwood 4 channel amps so I was “🔊King👑” once I came rolling up with my Rockford Fosgate audio in my car. I was the first person in my area with a powered subwoofer compared to everyone else’s SCREAMING 6x9’s or their Parent’s Pioneer house speakers in the back seat with at most a radio shack booster/equalizer. I had moved to a rural small town community from the city so these folk had NEVER seen such components! It sounded great for those days in the 80’s and then later I upgraded with a swap to a HiFonics “CYCLOPS” (100x1) mono class D amp (BEST EVER) and swapped my Punch 15” sub out with a Kicker 15” in same sealed 3’ cubic foot sealed enclosure and thought it was going to blow my hatch off! OMG what a difference that swap made was day/night. The Cyclops was pure power unlike peak power of most all other amps of that time. It didn’t take long to catch on and everybody was getting a Punch 45 w/ Punch 15” sub. This was before it was referred to a Rockford Fosgate; back then was called and labeled “the Punch” Lol! i have a scar rp1500.1d at 1ohm. i broke a cheap qbomb with it. i broke off my trunk spoiler with it. and with only a single evl 12 d2. o i forgot to say i blew the whole cone off a ddx with it. skar makes some savage shit.

I love my Skar LP-750.1D hooked up to 2 Skar EV12 D4 shallow 12"s. They're installed in compact sealed boxes firing down in my hatchback. Gives me enough thump and I can still haul all kinds of stuff in my daily driver!

I been running this for a year. Smoked the first pair of subs, they replaced under warranty. I was careful to break them in a bit and make sure my input signal wasnt ‘as’ clipped and they have been performing fine since.

I had an all Skar Audio system in my Trailblazer. First month it was a amazing then it all went to shit. I even made a video on it. They are poorly made imo. My 4 channel amp kept cutting in and out. 3 of the 4 crossovers on the TX6.5cs literally burnt up. Like they popped and smoked out my truck. 2 of the tweeters blew out.

I got Skar Audio 10" version (their Kerf ported box and SDR 10"). It sounded good out of the box, but I lined the inside of the enclosure with "Boom Mat". Now it sounds smoother and cleaner. The low-lows are warmer.

I'm looking for the efficiency rating at 1 ohm at least or even the efficient rating at all loans that you tested they claim at 4 ohm it's 90% efficiency I saw another video from Wilson's audio lab you did a efficiency test and it's in the 70% to 60% efficiency looking to see any comparative results.....

Yes, I have mine running a 10" Kicker Comp S, the older version of the Comp R, single voice coil 4 ohm and its doing fine. Its way overpowered, but I just have it turned down. I'm moving to a single Skar Audio ZVX 12" soon.

Sunset Algorithm definitely worth it I picked up 2 of the SVR 12 D2s and the 1500watt skar amp and I am already blown away by how awesome they are and how crazy they play lows!

Shit, when did decent gear get so cheap. I paid crazy money for my old school Fosgate gear back in the day. Then I come across Skar equipment that is cheap as hell, but has great specs that the equipment can deliver on. My old ass just ordered a couple Skar 12s and a 1500 Skar amp for less than what I paid for one of my Fosgate amps in the late 90’s. So little money, it’s worth it to just play around with. Can’t wait to compare the gear.

Car audio was different in the 90s. Many didnt go by Ohms as I recall like today. Phoenix Gold was the Gold Standard in amplifiers. People would wire up Subwoofers to Amps without matching them by watts and Ohms like today and were blowing them up like crazy. Using 18 gauge wire for the power wire on a 1500 watt system. Man what were they thinking? Anyways I'm thinking of getting a Rockford fosgate for my dd but not sure yet.

Running two vvx v3 10" powered by the rp 1500d under my seat of my chevy crew and they absolutely slam. Have tx 6.5 components in front doors and tx 6.5 coax in rear doors powered by the rp150.4 that sound amazing.

I have an RP1500 on two EVL 12’s and I swear the amp has to be pushing over 2k watts rms. Both wired down to 1 ohm.

Those EVL 12's can take 1=RP1500 each and lower the gains for good clean non distorted sound

I was finding it hard getting a sub and and amp combo with all these manufacturers lying about their rms... And tbh skar audio is lying as well. As in their amps are good for even more than it's stated. I'm importing the rp2000.1d amd and the svr 12 d2 sub to europe. Can't wait for it.
