this is the way it shouldve came. if not this i think it wouldve been excepted better by toyota amd supra fans if it was more toyota even if it had a toyota v8 just less bmw. BUT the BMW part is what got people that would never buy a toyota to buy the new supra
There's no such thing as a anti surge turbo. Compressor housings might have holes milled out all around the face which is supposed to help with surging aka back pressure caused when going from WOT to nothing and the air has no where to go and begins tryinf to reverse flow and causing the wheel to flutter. When you showed tbe motor, you said yeah it's got this piping, blow of valves on the manifold, titanium. So whats the dealing? Why didn't you go to a mark4 trans and diff? Most people know when quadrupling the output in a car that supporting mods are apart of it. That could be rods & pistons or built trans Anti lag on decel is the worst explanation iv herd. The way you stated it makes me believe you can only use Rollin antilag when slowing down. When in actuality, it's meant to work like a 2 step does: Retards ignition and sets a rpm limit but still turns the motor so that its building boost while in gear without moving until a button is released. Antilag- push a button while pressing the acclerator( not the *decelerator*)below a predetermined rpm, floor it wait 1 2 release button and your outta there 2 step is done from a dead stop it too allows the engine to build boost at a selected rpm so that once you release the transbrake button or come off the foot brake your instantly on power from the 0ft mark rather than 3lbs of boost out the hole you can run whatever your heart desires

He never thought of going on a track and doesn't even know what a track is otherwise he would ruin it by putting a slower revving manual Trans engine with massive turbo loud that doesnt sound as nice. 2jz should be for mkiv not this. I can imagine him on a track in this car, getting slower lap times than an average Germans day doing warm up laps in his stock supra. This guy is dumb just like most Americans who grew up with fast and furious and think they're "pro" because they tuned their car to breaking levels just to go in a straight line. No American says "let's go on the track" because NONE of them can handle a corner. They see a corner and suddenly they take it 2,3,4,5, even 6 times slower than an average European on the track doing a pre warm up lap lmao

This A90 is goal! yes it's fully built. Yes the interior changed alot. but what I like the most that he keeps it nice and tidy unlike some car guys who put like 10 gauges and cables everywhere inside their cars.

@@blacksupra6115 900HP will still sh*T on the 2JZ with 1200 HP. The way the B58 delivers power throughout the powerband is so much better. This guy just wanted a unique build. The B58 would have been easily able to been just as fast

I didn't care how old this is, it's about time someone justified/reclaimed the Supra and took it back from being a absolute fucking disgrace of a BMW Z4 remake/clone and brought back the true roots of the Supra makes me once again proud of the NAME SUPRA

this engine is allmost double the weight of B58 engine , and B58 is not as bad as people think, it has fat chain,it has alluminium block from B57 (diesel) so it can handle big boost
@@madkas14 The B58 is a closed deck aluminium block, it is incredibly strong. The pistons are what limits the standard unopened block from making big power, so 700+ bhp you really need forged pistons for safety. It is 30 years newer and 30 years more advanced than the 2jz, which was an amazing engine for it's time, and still is legendary. The B58 hasn't even been around 10 years yet, and drift teams are running over 1000bhp B58 engine'd Supra's reliably, bouncing them off the rev limiter lap after lap.
You can get this horsepower without the 2jz which in my opinion is an even more impressive build, you can look it up there’s someone learning to push the limits of the stock engine on these just like they can with the 2jz.
That interior looks so clean. Aside from the roll bars and seats the other modifications (digital dash, added buttons, shifter), it looks like it came from the factory.
As a MKIV TT owner, I gotta say…the B58 is a fantastic engine. Not sure why you would want to 2JZ swap it. I mean, if Toyota had their hands in the development of it for the MK5/Z4, then you know it’s good. Haven’t heard too many (if any) horror stories with the B58 to be honest. Imagine the B58 had a Yamaha head….lordy lord.
It was dyno'd at 917 i believe on Hoonigan with the turbo put in 2 hours before and on a street tune with 28 pounds of boost . Nice to see it got a proper tune
It's truly a testament to Toyota, and the Japanese Automotive Industry in the 90's, when people are ripping out brand new high-tech BMW engines and putting in an almost 30 year old engine to make more power.
My childhood favourite car was a mk4 manual supra. As an adult my favourite car is a manual E46 m3 and you just built the best current street car man. Love it.

2jz this 2jz that. Toyota engineers took out the 2jz from the mk4 Supra and replace it with the 3SG engine to become the famous and well known TOM'S Supra for a reason. With this setup it was able to de thrown the Godzilla R32 in the 90's. The 3SG is Toyota greatest engine not the 2jz. The Fast n Furious fan boys will not believe this though.
