I feel the same way !! It's beautiful but I fail miserably trying to braid my own hair up

I struggled with braiding my hair downwards as well at first. I became self taught about 3 years ago. I'm still not at her level but practice makes perfect. A weird trick I used was to braid my hair in an upside position. Basically sit on the couch/chair and lean forward until your comfortably upside down. Of course you shouldn't be falling lol. Figure out what works for you. It only has to be successful. There's no one true way. Good luck :)

can you swim with these braids?

@@Huntienev yes u can just becarefull mabe put them up in a bun or ponytail so they wont get wet that much or just wrap a hair thing around them so they wont get wet that much u can get them wet just be careful

I have always wondered why we just don't do that! The patterns are art in themselves. my mom used to rock the pattern where you are left with on long braid in the top in the 70s.
