+Monique Gilmour you align the "T" mark on the ignition with the notch in the crank case. Once that is aligned, you take your cam sprocket and align the dot on it with the notch in the cylinder head.
problem, taking mine apart and as i turned engine over a small spring and small metal cylinder fell out. it fits snug in the centre of the clutch but not sure if it goes there what u think
Hi. I really liked your video, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Nestitary help to know where to get the tightening tool for the crankshaft nut, in the part of the clutches. Thanks greetings.
Excellent video. Subscribed to your channel. I have an issue with my timing chain its creating too much knocking noise and is a bit loose. I m suspecting something is wrong with its cam chain tensioner. @11:47 when you were assembling it by inserting the rod you the holes in the rod were in one particular direction can they be in any direction? Or is there any notch in it to avoid incorrect instalation? Any video on just troubleshooting loose cam chain?
yes it was after when i was at high speeds then i heard it and felt it i had recently adjusted the valves about 1 month early they we WAY OUT of adjustment to where i had to push start it about a week after they were already out of adjustment again. so i dont know what is wrong with it maybe it is even the cylinder hitting the wall?
The piston has to be at TDC then mark the case and flywheen where TDC is then the cam gear should have a mark that should line up to the left 9 Oclock if you will and thats it i think
I have a question. I have a Taotao with the 125cc motor with the kick start. But it wont crank up when I try and kick start it. The motor runs fine but it just wont start like at all unless I take a running start in first gear. Could it be the starter thats messed up in if so how do I tell if its fried?
can you pleas show in a video where al the washers should be in the engine . and olso when i kik the rotor set dont rotate ? can you help me with this problem ??
the clutch plates and clutch is on the right side correct if I take off the right side cover is everything in place meaning if I take it off nothing will move out off place and break because my clutch plates are either sticking or burnt up I can't shift with my hand clutch it's useless I was cruising doing 50 MPH yesterday and I came to a red light and the bike would shift down or stop so I was pissed I had to walk home from there were it happened it was about a 5 or 6 mile walk home because I didn't want to do more damage than it already has done to the clutch itself
Rebuilt my engine very similar to this one and the piston goes up and down if I spin the flywheel by hand but my kick starter is jammed any suggestions?
if you cant find timing marks what i do is turn your crank untill piston is at top dead center l ready to induct and mark your fly wheel turn your cam shaft untill it is just about open the inlet valve when you put the chain back on it should be about there give or take a tooth but as the piston drops the inlet should be open
Hey, I recently changed out my left crankcase due to a crack and then when I pieces it together I Realized that my clutch didn't have full movement (it could move but lost 75 percent of travel). I didn't put oil in it yet just to see what you guys think. Could it be the lack of oil screwing up the wet clutch travel or something else? Thanks
Hi i also have similar engine. I had problems with oil flow. There was no oil flowing to the intake rocker arm. When I opened the engine the oil screen was totally clogged up. While I cleaned it I checked the oil pump sprocket on main Crank shaft as shown in @2:05. This sprocket is rotating both clock wise and anti clock wise. I don't know when crankshaft is rotating whether and how this shaft rotates. The metal sprocket on crankshaft that drives the plastic sprocket of oil pump is free. There is nothing to bind it to the rotating of main crankshaft. Engine is dj 154fmi
Chamjisky Khan I think you need a new engine case broths because it's not supposed to move counterclockwise only clockwise now don't get me wrong that is really the only thing that's running your motor like the can shaft inside and the cam timing if it's set incorrectly you will get the oil problem you have because everything in the engine depends on each other hopefully I kind of help you bro sorry if I was just talking crap but if your saying it moves back its fine while not driving or operating it you should be good but that oil pump is serious because If no oil is moving around the lower back of the engine it can fry the engine pretty fast so what I would do is call the company that made your bike and tell them what is going on or call your local dirt bike shop
i have a 140cc lifan engine, when i put all the gearbox parts togheter its spins freely, when i turn the selector and try to spin the gearbox, they make a bad sound and one of the sprocket si moving up and down, anyone know why ?
I have a black washer that says "side out" that I'm pretty sure came from the clutch side but i can't for the life of me figure out where exactly it goes
I'm not sure what you mean? The crf50 style engine is one of the best ever built but its a very basic design and everything is made to work together as a unit.
Kiko Neviem all Chinese pit bikes have a lifan engine they all are the same for the ssr, Apollo, roketa, bbr , and so on in the 125cc I'm not sure about anything above it but for the 125 cc then yea they all use the lifan engine they may have different companies that manufacture the engines them selves but they only engrave there companies name into the the cylinder side cover or the right or left side cover so that it is more nice looking but a lifan engine is a lifan engine they all work the same
