You have to VERY QUICKLY run and cut off a line of dominoes, so that the crashing doesn't ruin the whole set. Then, you just have to rebuild that SHORT line. Otherwise, I see a few "domino athletes" committing suicide, lol
You obviously do these in sections and then link them together later. The closer you get to the last link, of course, the riskier it gets, but at least you ultimately reduce the ongoing risk.
What does Dominoes falling teach us. - Incredible patience - That nothing lasts forever - Letting things go - The art of remaining calm - Respect for the process - Perseverance - Creativity
I just watched 7 minutes of dominoes falling is various positions. I don't know whats worse, THAT or the fact that the audience was clapping each time something cool happened!!!!
+macancheezy You know "Domino Day?". Straight up 4-5 Hours of dominoes falling. Though they are always very creative in the way they set their shit up.
I hate it when you guys all complain about that, and I am the only one complaining about you complaining about when they complain about you complaining
I cant' even imagine how much work was put into setting this up. Last time I played dominoes was back in primary and after setting it up with a length of three school desks, someone accidentally touched one of the dominoes and 80% of our work got destroyed. It must've been an incredibly careful work yet done by a large group of people.
I'm just saying...that would just sucked if an earthquake hit right before they started, I would have felt so bad for them, you know that had to take a lot time and to see it come crashing down...but it didn't and that just blew my mind! Awesome video, great camera work! Well done! Thumbs up!
I've seen this video when I was 7 and seeing it now is a warm, refreshing reflection on a simpler time, when no virus was plaguing the world,Obama was president, and when we were still using giant box computers and firefox. Those were the days
it might not have collapsed but to my way of thinking was nothing like tower bridge. Looked more like Byker Wall. I once dreamed that stonehenge was dismantled, taken on navy barges and dumped in the sea As for european empire DEATH TO THE EU
Matthew Bishop They don't remove anything during setup. That would be really risky, when someone fumbles while putting in the missing piece. They usually have tiny fences for every section, which can be lifted without knocking over any pieces. Well, I don't know how they did it in this specific attempt. Edit: in front of every big section, you see a metal plate on the floor. Pretty sure, they can be locked.

+Sam Trott I noticed that too and thought it was ironic that the "Tower Bridge" structure, representing London in the UK, didn't collapse. I wonder if the fact that the London Bridge did not fall down is some sort of domino-based humour/easter egg?
Well, London Bridge has been falling down in a children's rhyme for a very long time, so I think this was intended as a reverse play on that idea. Note that the trigger dominoes for Tower Bridge run around the back out of sight. This may have been intentional to hide a planned gap.
Actually that's incorrect. If the setup for the dominos took 70,000 hours that would mean it would take slightly over 2916 days. If you divide 2916 by 365 ( Amount of days in a year) you would get 7.98 which is almost 8 years and I seriously doubt that this gym was occupied for building domino's for that long!
@@funnyvids1208 he was just giving him information that would make sense. I'm a nerd and I'm thankful for it, I'm not a dumbass like the rest of the people ( Not saying that you are stupid, you are probably smart). Most people who run big companies are or were nerds. So what I'm trying to say is that we " nerds" understand jokes, but we like to inform people so they don't give false information to others and those people aren't later made fun of. I hope you understand, God bless you.
@@funnyvids1208 atleast they are smart and act like a better person. You really said demnerds when you cant even say a thing like Micheal Boychuk did. We all know its a joke. BUT DONT ACT LIKE A DUMBASS
well, you need a bit more for that.. quick search for "Domino Day" on yt listed a record for 4.5 Million fallen Dominoes... and that one is from 2009. iirc there are two major groups trying to beat the others record each year, so if they were succesful every time its been ~18 increments since then... No idea which two records they refer to here, but i doubt its abou the amount..
Somehow stumbled upon this video. Now I'm gonna watch a bunch of domino videos. One right after another. Binge watchin'. How did I get addicted to this?
@EBEN METHRAIL ABBY Exactly this. It's something famously known as the domino effect, interact with one piece and cause a massive chain reaction THAT is what people are watching.
Just imagine finishing up with the last dominos before tomorrow's show and then accidentally triggering the hole dominos and she your hard work finish in front of your eyes ......
I can't even begin to imagine how many hours this took to setup, lol. It was amazing to watch, especially the giant wall and how it looked like it was going to fizzle. I do wish we saw what made the blue structure not fall, but still one hell of a display and video!
Cherise Kwok Uh, yes. If you took, at the most, 2 seconds to count all the dominos, you’d notice there are actually 127,999 dominos. It’s actually sad.
