@@eigh1puppies i assume things have changed with the runecarvers fix/buff and the change to the combustion passive. sounds like it would be pretty good now on at least mag dk for most scenarios? unless stamdk can get away with running 2 light pieces since you have to run it on body.
So, I would suggest Order's Wrath, which isn't a base game set but there's a solid chance you can get it from guild traders, or have a friend craft it for you. Absolute Base Game set I guess you could go with something like Mother's Sorrow
I don't really find passives worth listing, because they all are relevant. If you're using a skill from that tree, you should probably just fill out that tree's passives imo
Honestly the changes didn't really do anything. The DK ended up netting 500 DPS loss with Burning and Poison for a total of 1K, but the Runecarver buff is gonna make that set the Parse Dummy Meta on this class, giving us maybe a 2K buff? Problem is, that Runecarver setup will only be run whenever you can do Relequen in a fight, which is probably less than half the fights in the game.
Nah Mag DK isn't going anywhere. Even if Stam DK hits harder on the 21 Mil, Stam DK can't do Talons, and that's an insane amount of damage to lose in content
That's how the game worked a few years ago, but they've completely changed the way stat scaling works. There are no longer gear or weapons bound to "mag or stam" type builds, it's just kind of "run the strongest thing"
You can replace it with mora if you have it maxed, Velothi is okay, vma greatsword is decent as well. If you drop the kilt, run fighting finesse instead of exploiter
Gosh... "magikcka dps" concept died. Now we just use medium armor, a fucking massive sword on back bar and daggers on the front bar, has the majority of our skill morphed into stamina based... But it's still a "magicka build". Why its not called a hybrid build? like... oh well, idk, whatever. I'm still happy zos did this hybridization anyway.
There are set and skill combos listed throughout the video that can be used really well for solo scenarios. For example, in vateshran, whorl/tzogvins is used very commonly, along with skills like razor caltrops or ele sus, all of which are components discussed throughout the video!
Is anybody else just completely overwhelmed? I didn't realize all that went into it when I started playing. I have a level 50 DK, mostly playing by myself, learning as I go. People ask me to join their guild but I'm just a casual player...can't really do the chat thing. But fighting in a group is really fun...maybe eventually. I really love this game! Great video!
Sure I would use wall and camo hunter in place of stampede and carve + the vma inferno backbar. I’d suggest daggers front bar but if you want to staff you can
@@eigh1puppies ty for this! What about replacing the front bar as well? I assume inferno would also be nice since it gives dot & status effect dmg? Hopefully not a massive dps decrease going x2 inferno, going for that fire mage theme.
@@swampsectdaggers count as an extra gear piece, which ends up being a pretty huge stat bonus, so double inferno will be a decent loss. I suppose you could switch out cloak for maybe engulfing
Great video man, one of the few that actually covers everything and thoroughly in depth 👍🏻 However, I do have 2 questions I’m hoping you wouldn’t mind answering: 1) Is Julianos still a viable set in place/in conjunction with Mother’s sorrow and/or Order’s wrath? I have yet to acquire any monster sets, MA weapons, or raid gear in general. I have all 3 sets, including full sets of armor, 2 inferno staffs for all, and some jewelry but only for Mother’s sorrow and Julianos. The Julianos jewelry also happens to be in the recommended traits you mentioned here. Currently, I’m running 2 pieces of arcane willpower jewelry and one mother’s sorrow. 2) Currently I’m set up with 5 pieces of medium armor (Order’s wrath) and 2 pieces of light mother’s sorrow. As mentioned above, I have a plethora of options and possible combinations when it comes to combining these sets. I could technically have 2 full set bonuses and nearly 3 with a 4/5 bonus. Any one of the 3 sets can only get the 4 piece, but I was leaning towards Julianos. Reason being that my only medium armor is the 5 armor pieces Order’s wrath. I have acquired all passives in both light and medium armor , which finally brings me to my question: If I swap out a couple pieces of the medium Order’s wrath armor for light mothers sorrow, and replace some of the extra/redundant set pieces with Julianos, will the 4/5 Julianos set bonus make up for loss in DPS?
1. Julianos is a great set! 2. I might be misunderstanding a little, but whatever sets you can get full 5 piece bonuses out of will be the most worth running if that makes sense, as opposed to miscellaneous stat combinations
Deep breath is not really worthwhile on single target boss fights but is very good for AOE situations. When you do use it yeah, you'll weave it like blast bones, one in three skills
Mag and Stam just refers to the resource pool you spec 64 into. There aren’t really and weapon or armor types specified the resource pools anymore, so it’s just kind of “run what’s best”
Would you consider Kinras's Wrath strong for solo and small and unorganized groups? cuz that's what I grindeded the eso+ free trial Also is it worth running Flame blossom? I really liked the fiery aesthetic of both sets and I was wondering if it will actually be good I am using either one of these sets with pillar of nirn front bar, 1 or 2 peace Zaan, ring of the pale order and the maelstrom inferno staff on back bar
Kinra is not a bad set at all, I just think you'll get more value even in solo content out of some of the given options. Order's Wrath for example is one of the best sets in the game for solo/unoptimized groups. Flame Blossom is not a bad set, but it's value is incredibly situational, requiring bosses with massive hit boxes to get the set to tick multiple times per proc, so again, I think the options given are all just a little better. If aesthetic is your goal though, it will do the job just fine :)
Well I'm trying to farm perfected weapons. So I would say fast but I still need to be able to get through it. My CP is at 1000 but I am not an experienced dps. On this build I was struggling to sustain stam wearing pillar of nirn and orders wrath. I do not have much gear yet for dd so I'm trying to farm the correct gear as well that is not trial. I am close to relequin set but not quite there.@@eigh1puppies
I would do a trial set if you have one (like Sul Xan/Ansuul/Whorl) + Pillar or Aegis Probably. If you don't have a trial set, Orders is a good substitute
