It is the first world class railway station in Madhya Pradesh.
The redeveloped Rani Kamlapati Railway station has been named after brave and fearless Queen Kamalapati of the Gond kingdom.
The platforms of the redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station are connected with 2 subways for easy movement of passengers.
The station, redeveloped in public private partnership (PPP) mode, has been designed as a green building with modern world class amenities which has also taken into account ease of mobility for ‘divyangjans' (physically challenged).
A seating arrangement of 700 to 1,100 passengers has been made in the open concourse.
Escalators and lifts have been installed at the station to reach the platform.
The station will also boast of food courts, restaurants, air-conditioned waiting rooms, dormitory, VIP lounge.
Around 160 CCTV cameras have also been installed at the station to keep round-the-clock surveillance.
