So lovely to see you both. I've never commented before, I'm kind of a silent watcher. I've been with you both since the beginning and have enjoyed all the content you've put out. Cruises, motorhome and narrow boat journeys. My husband and I will be doing a British isles cruise next May/June on the Regal Princess with and additional stay in London after. Looking forward to seeing the beautiful UK.

Isn't it wonderful that we are still here to adapt and adjust to all that getting older entails? You inspire me. We are doing the same thing with our lives here. Take care! ❤

Good luck with your move. A couple of years ago , my parents did the same. Best decision, bungalow is easy to manage and easy access to amenities is everything. You have such wonderful memories and photos of your adventures. Don't be sad. This is a new adventure.

Sorry I missed the live. Happy for you that you have found a one level bungalow. It will be nice for you to have shops, etc, closer and have others near you.

You won't regret the move, you will have like minded neighbours and no stairs! It will be so easy to manage. We downsized to an over 50's bungalow just over 2 years ago and we have made so many new friends and a busy social life. No time for many holidays 😂

Moving is always a chore but you will love being on single level. Stairs are a bitch at a certain age. We experienced a major flood in our early 70s and decided to demolish and rebuild. We did build 2 stories but all our own living space is the first floor with wide doors, etc. Although we do have to climb stairs to enter the house per building code, as we are now considered flood zone…42” off grade. We left space for elevator in garage once we need it. The 3/2 with galley kitchen upstairs is for the grown child and gkids. We are now 79/80 and have no regrets for starting over with new house. Enjoy every minute. Sally will enjoy discovering new storage ideas with smaller space.

Sorry where you are living didn't workout but I think where you are going will make you happier. You will have more people around your ages and can make friends, have dinner with and have same interests. You can take pud on walks around the neighborhood. Being on one floor will make it easier for you both. So happy for you on new home.❤

I am sure you have made the right decision with the bungalow, it is so important to be near to amenities such as doctors etc especially if you want to keep a level of independence. I'm excited that my son will be moving to London area just after Thanksgiving, with his family. They are also excited. I'm hoping that his relocation will mean I will get to meet you both in person eventually, and also be able to do a Europe cruise.

I have a three level home and stairs are evil at 69 lol. I so wish I had a smaller place. Out of the three levels the main one doesn't have a restroom. I have three bathrooms and none on main level.

It’s probably a blessing in disguise the build didn’t go ahead as you say you feel isolated living there. You may have still wanted to move to a village to be close to neighbours. Hope it all goes well!

So sorry hearing about what recently happened to Louise's poor great auntie who suffered the terrible fall and breaking her hip as a result of the ordeal :-(. Very awful accident and very very painful as one could imagine. Just think of how painful it really is to break your hip no matter how old oneself is :-/. I am certainly hoping Louise's great auntie gets well soon and makes a good recovery following her accident. I do also hope Louise's parents are well particularly her father who had problems as far as what was said a few short months ago something like that. Thanks for the livestreamed session. Sorry if I had sent this all at a terrible moment Dave but I just feel so sorry for Louise's poor great auntie and the ordeal she faced. Take care and many best wishes Dave my good man. My daughter had the same thing happen with facebook. It was also an innocent post with children in it that she had posted years ago! I don't think anyone reported her. I think it is since Meta took over facebook.
