Namaste bhai. Dhanywadh nice video. I tried making this circuit but the battery is back feeding through the relay and back to the charger so it doesn't switch once the charger is disconnected from mains. What have I done wrong?
I have uploaded several autocut off charger with mosfets, I'll try to soo upload the video of emergency light with auto cutoff after full charging battery
According to the diagram, while the charger is active leds will use up the battery. Those who are willing to do this circuit should concider pins 3 & 4 in reverse. Or led+ should be connected to NC pin. And 1N5408(-) should be connected to NO pin.
Thanks for writing, IN4007 with reverse polarity is important between the coil pins to protect circuit from current spikes that gets generated during switching, Also IN5408 diode is used to block reverse positive flow to input dc terminals
See if you want to turn on light with brightness control, this circuit is for that you can use input dc as 12v battery and light 12v 40w at output. Installation of good size heat sink is recommended for mosfet.
Yes, it depends on the availablity, the 1N4007 is always used for the relay coil protection against voltage spikes, and instead of 1N5408 you can use any 3A diode with above 20v, even Schottky diodes is best with low voltage drop.
