I somewhat agree with this. But also I would argue that WG has not released a tank without a weak spot (or bad armor for that matter) in a long time. I mean look at the recent additions to the game. Concept 5 line, absolutely awful armor, vickers, worst armor of any tier 10 med, 452k, decent armor but not anything special. and the tier 10 polish td has pretty mediocre armor also. The last tank with truly op armor they released was 1 year+ ago. And frankly, you don't need gold to do good. I have 3 marked many tier 10s and 9s and 8s without firing much gold.

They should just limit the amount of gold rounds you could have in a tank, brainlessly spamming rounds the entire game isnt fun

@@hebrewhammer4086 I'd argue that the reason they haven't been releasing tanks with weakpoints is because of the prevalence of gold ammo. I still wouldn't want to go back for the simple reason that WG refuses to nerf premeum tanks but if they were willing I don't think it would be as bad.

I agree, but Quicky was also agreeing. He wasn't saying the new gold ammo is better. Back when they opened up gold ammo and made it free, my clan split over it. Half of them thought it was going to destroy the game and just quit playing. I wasn't sure if it was a bad idea or not until the goldspam just barely started to creep in. At that point I knew it was a terrible decision and would only get worse.

@@TehButterflyEffect sorry I misread your original comment, I'd argue that they do still add in more tanks without a weak spot, the tiger mouse being the largest offender in recent memory. For the most part I agree with you though, I just think it reduced skill expression, instead of trying to hit a weak point just hit the 2 key.

You can't fix the gold ammo problem anymore. It's part of the game and many heavily armoured tanks can only get balanced by gold rounds sadly...

Well, if you change the damage of gold rounds you would of course have to balance heavy tanks accordingly. One could definitely do that, but it might certainly be a problem that you can't reduce the statistics of premium heavies, so it might not be feasible in practice.

The problem would actually be partially solved if the standard ammo did 25% more damage, kind of a reversed way of what the SU-100Y or ISU-130 can do or what they tested in the supertest we were part of and had great feedback except for the massive HE nerf.

You can't angle the turret if you are firing so the big gun is better because it has a lower rate of fire which allows you to keep your turret angled for longer. Most people don't think about that.

When the game was released 14 years ago, that computer was already 4 years behind the minimum requirements.

Both are absolute trash. Totally unplayable if you are not willing to shoot 70% gold, cos otherwise you can't pen anything.

@@robinkhn2547 The pen doesn't matter because if you don't turn your turret your hp will melt anyway. That's why improving the dpm of the Maus and E100 is useless unless you play against bad players who shoot your upper plate.

Dude do you really expect that you should be allowed to make a profit when shooting almost exclusively gold? If that were the case, even more players would run around loading gold only, cos there would be no downside. Also, he wouldn't have made such a big loss if he hadn't shot all those blind shots with gold ammo. Also, the game was a draw, which is counted as a loss when it comes to compensation. I am sure he would have made a profit if he had won the game, or at the very least broken even.
