whelp. fluteless is officially the faster route for any% (for the time being). idk if itll stay faster but fluteless can go so much lower. pretty exciting stuff
I really feel like speedruns of this game are underrated. Since this is nmg it must have taken hours of practice and I feel like 55 likes is definitely not enough. Congrats for getting the nmg world record!
This is so exciting! I love seeing how optimized it’s getting while still thinking about all the other time saves that might be possible. Tremendous playing GG!
Love seeing all the little tricks that save time on the puzzles, and the routing is pretty crazy too! I think my favourite part of the route is jumping up into the chameleon boss from below and skipping the first seahorse encounter. Those disc tricks are insane, it's so cool to watch you effortlessly scale walls with it lol awesome speedrun and congrats on world record!!
So, I'm not sure, but in many games the difference between minor/major glitches is that the glitch is considered major, if it allows you to reach a portion of a room that you wouldn't be able to reach with your current items, otherwise it's a minor. And since this run is nmg, it's valid
As the other reply says, it's no major glitches category. Bubble warp for example is not allowed, since it basically allows you to teleport across the map almost anywhere you want and skip majority of the game. This yo-yo strat is a minor glitch, since it's a relatively small time save and only skips like a single puzzle.
I'm so confused.. What happens at 1:52 after you picked up the mock disc and you die? Why did it return you to your save point with the regular disc in hand?
They already had the regular disc in their hands before dying (which is why the dog was chasing them), I’m guessing that once they died, the dog took the mock disc instead of the regular one, saving them the need to go put it in the shrine themselves
When u die with the m. disk u keep the regular disc and the m disk goes to the dog ghost statue (the one where you pick up the disc, not the one near the flame)
