FPS counters are great but I found that finally turning it off has brought me to enjoy games more again. I found myself constantly looking at the frames instead of just getting immersed in the game.
Like PcCentric says; I use it to configure my settings or if I feel that the game runs badly in places, it's good to get an idea as to why. As soon as I have the game where I want it I turn it off or leave just the fps counter way up in the corner, where I don't notice it.
yeah best thing to do is pop up the FPS counter then go about getting your settings right for the min amount of FPS you are happy with then turn it off. Also as he said you can see what your current limit is, like the CPU or GPU being the limit and then you can truly tinker with settings for the best overall experience. Even with a top end machine I always find the sweet spot settings.
Great choice man I did the 78003d and the same gpu and IM LOVING IT ppl tend to shit on that 7900 but bro 1k for better overall frames than a 4080 for 400 dollars less
I've been a hardcore console gamer for 20 years, seriously considering going all out and building a monster pc no expense spared. Tired of console titles failing to meet expectations. Starfield being locked at 30 in 2023 has made me seriously think about moving on from console. 120fps isn't being utilised at all on the xbox. It was sold to us but not being used. Isn't good enough
Do it! Once you get hooked on 144 or 240 FPS on PC, you'll never go back to console. I bought an Xbox Series X back in March and only signed in once so far ( I had to so I could set it up).
@@johnjr7673 I game on a 55 oled. Capable of the 120. I've never been a fan of gaming on a smaller screen. Less immersion. But I suppose I could use the pc on the oled
@Thund3r4 I used to think like that too about the screen size. I've come to realize that playing on a 27" monitor is way better than playing on my 55" Samsung TV. You can see everything just as good (or better) without having to move your head around nearly as much. If you think about it, you have so much area to cover looking at a 55" TV.
I use mouse and keyboard for all fps multiplayer games as its just superior in every way but I do like to use controllers for some single player games and stuff and it's awesome having the option and having the better graphics and performance
I wanna build a gaming PC to play Apex i have never heard about that Apex launching cap at 144hz. I only have a 144hz monitor but its good to know if i upgrade
Your mention of backlighting your monitor is very helpful. I have a desk lamp above my monitor on my desk topper area that I bend down and towed itself and the monitor that creates some lighting that really helps the eyes and doesn’t shine on me or in my face.
I seamlessly connect an Xbox one controller to my computer. It connects quick and I’ve never had an issue with it. Just the controller itself has some stick drift that happened not too long after I bought it years ago.
With fps counters I wholed only recomend having them on when you need them like when you first get a game ir if you exsperianc problems other wise they will be distrating
You forgot #14: if you ever wanted to become a lumberjack, you can do so in Runescape 3 and if you do so in 4K all ultra, yew trees look even better than in real life.
When I try to enable xmp in BIOS there’s a drop down and there’s all these different combinations with voltage and stuff and I’m scared to mess stuff up😅 so I’ve just left xmp alone😔
Honestly the Bluetooth in my motherboard paired my wireless Xbox controller works flawlessly for me. Suggest giving it a try before spending more money
This is very true and I would absolutely do this but for me not knowing makes me constantly think about it so instead of just getting into it enjoying it I'm like I wonder if it is getting the normal about a friend maybe I'm getting a little less maybe I should check
My CX750watt psu fan is windy 🌬️ AF, ever since I got the 7800xt it’s just to loud. I didn’t think I’d get tips here but that GG launcher looks cool. Wired power A PRO controllers are perfect for pc. Low latency
streaming at the same time. also some video editing, my budget is 1800-2000. for cpu i was thinking i7 13700k or ryzen 7 7800x3d along with either a 4070 or maybe 4070 ti. any tips??
I can't go into bios the usual way cuz my wired keyboard does not get recognized until system is fully booted up. I've tried turning on and off USB selective suspend setting but no difference.
Task Manager always on top used to be the default in older versions of Windows. Can't remember which version changed that. As for the live background, Windows Vista Ultimate was the only version of Windows that natively allowed you to set a video as your wallpaper. Any video you want..Lol.
When people put the same fans in throughout the case including the cooler, do they remove the original cooler fans and put the fans of their choice on? (question for building dummies)
GeForce peformance tab and ingame fps counter says I’m hittin 279 on a 280hz asus so is it still capped even tho it’s showing those numbers without adding command lines?
Did you know the letters PC stand for "personal computer?" Did you know the letters RAM stand for "random-access memory?" Did you know that you can play games on your computer without having to insert a CD(compact disc)? 😂
I remember playing Diablo 2 on disc, and also played these retro games on those mini Compact Discs that fit in the tiny middle slot in the disc trays that not many people knew what that small slot was for
HI PC Centric. Excellent video. but my Task Manager is windows 11 and it doesn't give you the opin "Always on Top." any suggestionms would be greatly welcomed... With thanks.
You skipped "alt + print screen" to get a screenshot of the current running program. Of course, you got to open something like "Paint" and paste it in there.
hello i wanted to see if you can do another tutorial if a pc doesn’t boot up i’m only using a gaming pc that is only a 1650 super but one day i decided to clean it and when i connected it back it didn’t boot up i must’ve done something idk what but it was something so that would be helpful cause i have literally no idea on what to do
i spent like 15usd or around 1200 inr on a controller and its been 2 years of me using it and no stick drift nothing its working great so yeah its not necessary to spend 50-100usd on a signle controller
There's simply no reason to OC a system anymore anyways. Systems have gotten so fast that its just not necessary now. GOG Galaxy is great, but it doesnt currently support UbiConnect as the API for it has been broken for 8-10 months now. It'll try to connect to UbiConnect, but will disconnect from it within seconds.
Can you do a video on beta Nvidia control panel settings for different games because there is lot of white lines and jagged edges happening alot in Minecraft and a little in Fortnite but not to much.
There is something wrong with my pc, it won't boot if i enable EMP mode?? Anyone know why? Its been that way since i built it. I am using new and old DDR4 ram, so possibly two diff specs for 64Gb ram, could that be why?
I think you mean XMP mode. XMP is an automatic memory overclock profile. Its not guaranteed to work correctly or at all across every hardware configuration. And that's one of the reasons you don't want to use different brands and models of memory. Overclocking memory is a very sensitive process which can cause many issues.
I bought corsair 2x 16 GB 3600 MHz but they will only run at 2667 MHz (old ram was 3200 MHz) Activating XMP doesn't work because I keep getting BSOD. What do I need to do? My motherboard is:- B660M DS3H AX DDR4 CPU is:- Intel Core i7-12700 2.1 GHz 12-Core Processor
whenever my friend tries to launch certain games like apex, rust, cod, his pc crashes and restarts itself. But when we play warframe or rocket league it works. Anyone have any suggestions?
They released a firmware update that fixes the issue going forward, but not retroactively. Basically, before making any use of the drives whatsoever, update the firmware first. Should be good after that.
Why does screen tearing happen on some 240+ monitors and some dont ? for example i have a gsync 240hz dell, but if i dont use GSYNC i will get crazy screen tearing. but im always hearing people talk about leaving there fps uncapped and not getting any screen tearing
You should try using V-sync and set it to fast in Nvidia Control Panel. The GPU will render as many frames as it can and drop the ones that are not needed. You can leave Gsync on as well.
@@theboy2777 That's right. I use this, but I usually have an fps cap as well since I'd rather use less power than have less latency, but it should work without one.
My wife had un-solvable controller drop outs, tried everything known to Google, nothing fixed the wireless drop outs. Bought a wired controller, then never had a drop out again. We think it was the distance from the XBox to the couch.
i need help with my mic, i've search many youtube vids and none with my problem, my mic levels at 100, but in settings when i test my mic it says (result 3% of total volume). if anyone can help! it would be much appreciated.
Wireless mouse technology has gotten to the point that there is quite literally no difference between wired and wireless if you buy a reputable brand and not a random mouse on amazon
The problem is all inside your head, Marcus said to me. The answer is easy if you take it logically. I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free. There must be 13 ways to... er, improve your PC (gaming).
Any Controller that uses 2.4Ghz instead of Bluetooth for wireless is far superior. I recently bought the 8Bitdo Ultimate controller and it's amazing. It has the Nintendo switch button layout but I know the X-Box buttons like my name by now so it doesn't matter. It does have BT for use on the actual Switch too though. Edit: The included, High Quality Charging stand is great too it has the 2.4Ghz dongle tucked inside but if you plug the stand into a USB port on the PC It acts as a passthrough for the dongle using just the 1 port for charging and wireless!!!
