This song reminds me of the overwhelming sense of fear I had while running through a forest in the twilight after complete silence got infinitely more deafening by the second and I felt more alone than I’ve ever felt, but also had almost a sense that I wasn’t alone at all.
This song is literally the only song that can ACTUALLY send chills down our spine and not allow us to sleep at night. We either have to turn our volume off to not hear it or just skip a video with this particular song. The song “13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round The Side Of Your Bed” is done by the Canadian group, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and was released on their album “He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms” in 2000. Guitarist Efrim Menuck was devastated by the death of his dog and wanted to do something in memory of his beloved pet and friend. Menuck was raised in a somewhat religious family and community so religion was obviously an important aspect of life for him, being reflected in this album. Sadly Menuck was on tour when his pet passed away and it must have been a devastating effect on the musician but yielded this amazing album.
@@MegaMarkos92 Can you please explain how it is a cat if an animal can't talk? Speeding it up doesn't make it sound like a cat at all. It's just samples of choirs that are very heavily modified. Yes it is in honour of an animal so it does have a small link with animals but no animal was harmed.

This gives me Titanic vibes. Not the movie, the actual sinking. Yo, I might be late to this gathering, but my first encounter with this composition was while watching 'Top Boy' show on Netflix. It was playing during one of the most powerful and emotional scenes in the show, when Sully is about to kill someone of who he thought of as family and who betrayed him, essentially breaking a gang rule...pointing a gun at Driss and asking him "Just tell me... why?" and violin comes in... Man, whoever found this gem of music and decided to combine it with that scene is a genius. Love this musical piece

When I had Covid for the first time during Feburary, the year the pandemic first broke out. I remember passing out at my computer, the dream I had impacted me in a way I never thought imaginable... I was standing on still water, reflecting the universe, and a great light at the center of it all. Pulses of energy floating towards it, and this song... Which i was listening to was playing in the dream. I looked at this Great Light and felt a sense of Oneness with it. I peered into the Great Light and saw another world, another life, or the start of one. And to this day I wondered if what i dreamt was even a dream, or a glimpse of the Beyond.
I’m re writing a previous comment I wrote because I want to word it better but anyways. I think what you’re describing almost sounds like the creation story in genesis. God said let there be light, which might be the light you saw, or heck it could maybe be god himself, which explains the oneness and connection you felt? For the water and other worlds. In genesis, the 2nd day talks about god creating the ocean, and it says something like the two waters shall be separated and have heaven and earth. I think you saw the ocean and then heaven maybe above you? I don’t know it has some pretty scary similarities but I’m curious if it goes even more with what you saw. Maybe read genesis and see if it feels that way? Idk it’s a pretty interesting dream
The beginning feels like something is going to harm you in all ways possible. Physically, mentally, verbally, and other ways. The middle feels like those 13 angels are fighting off the evil, and the end is like the evil eventually fading away and giving up. Great song. Creepy, but comforting in a way.
I think this song is like the musical equivalent to the kind of paintings that can be interpreted in several ways depending on the observant. This is the second time I hear it, and this time, besides being soothing, it's quite touching, and my eyes got humid. For me, it feels indeed like any sort of embracement of death. Not really suicidal. Kind of peaceful on the inside. Like the score you'd hear when you're in your deathbed with your loved ones beside you, having your last loving words and watching a beautiful sunset; or when someone's ready to make the maximum sacrifice to save someone and becomes unrelenting and pulls up the fight of his/her life. Sadness is part of the equation, yes, but there's more to it. There's clarity, victory, joy and light. That's how I see it.

Somehow and in some way, this song emits a sense of hopelessness and disparity. Almost like something devastating is about to happen and there is nothing we can do to stop it. All we can do is cry. And it scares me. A lot.

Man. Whenever I hear this song. I feel very unsettled and depressed. It feels like whenever I listen to it, somebody is about to take their own life and I can't prevent them from doing it. I've always felt a huge breeze of uncomfort when listening to this song. (And it does make sense because afterall, this song is a tribute to the creator's dead dog)

The song was made and then 15mins later the cat died and nobody still knows how this happened some people think this cat is meowing and asking for help. slow down the song or put the song in reverse and maybe you will hear what it is saying. This song reminds me of when o was younger, i had a dream where i woke up to a loud black portal in a smaller version of my room, the outer ring of it was blue, and it was emmitting blue light. Im pretty sure the noise was my parents vacuuming breaking through the dream, and i was too afraid to go toward the portal. I just stayed there, in bed, crying in my head, the walls warping in leaving just enough space for me, curled up in my bed, And the portal to an abyss. My family convinced me later it was a portal to "the astral plane" or sumn and since i didnt go in explains why i never experienced it. Overall, pretty scary memory for me, knowing it was one of the few childhood memories i still have of when i had just gained conscience. Sorry for ramblin
