There are multiple places on the map which radiate a feeling of eeriness. For example there is a very beautiful looking little pond between Polesovo and Kamensk. Right beside the pond there are three graves that give you a feeling of mystery and loneliness.

The grass part, is why important part of such games, is to force players to see grass, and see it same as everyone else

Yes but unfortunately on a game that’s such a large scale of a map like dayz They want the game to be accessible to the most amount of people possible and that means good fps for the average player which is not a 3080 ti supercharged graphics card Therefore the grass doesn’t show It’s definitely a trade off but the developers gain more from the game being more accessible to more lower end pc’s than they do by having the game make more sense

In about a few more years the older consoles and graphics cards will be obsolete. The 3080 ti supercharged pcs will become budget and the next generation of cards will be made available. Probably then they will add grass to the game at a distance. Or maybe they will just update the game engine to be over better quality

The thing about Green Mountain... Ive definitely heard zombies when they weren't there. Ive even heard one on top of the tower when I was up there. Like when I was in the inside part up top Ive heard them aggro outside on the landing. Sound glitch maybe...

There are traps, but not the falling log, no. You can make a tripwire armed with an explosive, and there are bear traps.

The Tip with the making food last longer isnt necessarily all that important. If you find food, you should eat it immedietly instead of rationing. 1. You should always be full full 2. You get to keep some space in your inventory

We tried the rain barrel thing. It didnt work on console. Had 2 of the outside our base wide open, nothing. This was on a server that rained alot.

The grass one depends on how good your PC is and what gen your console is. I'm on the Xbox One X Enhanced so any grass over 15 meters away doesn't render.
