i only knew dragonfruit (never eaten it though) durian (same thing as dragon fruit) rambuton (my favorite fruit), jackfruit, cacao (because i saw someone make chocolate in a video)

Why do Japanese people say appulu instead of apple? Most people are just not able to hear the difference or even when they do they can't imitate it. I'm pretty sure there MANY words you can't pronounce either. But when you do try one day, be prepared that assh0les like you will mock you for it.

I'm American. I legit have never heard 'cacao' pronounced this way before. That seemed quite unusual to me. And I'm proud that I actually have heard of most of these fruits (though I haven't gotten around to trying most of them yet)! Looking forward to crossing them off my food bucket list someday!

@pproust The only reason you think that is cause you aren't used to them. A lot of people from the east don't like the bananas in the US since it's lackluster in flavor and bred to have a long shelf life for consumerism. It's that way with a lot of produce in more western countries. Fruits like custard apples, mangosteen and durian in some countries are more appealing to people in those places because it tastes good and they're used to it. Also, for some reason, fruits typically found everywhere in North America or Europe is very expensive in Asia. While in the Philippines, there was a vendor selling Fuji apples to what would be the equivalent of 2 US dollars for one apple.

I suppose if they told about the Paw Paw, a fruit tree native to North America related to the mango but grows as far north as Canada you would probably be more impressed. Unlike most the fruits named in this video you can't get them in any commercial market, except in very limited quantities in local farmers markets. (usually from wild trees) I know of only one farm that grows them in the tri-state area and they only do pick your own on the property for two weeks while in peak season.

Here in México we have the Jack's fruit(called yaca), the dragón fruit(Pitahaya) and the rambutan, but yeah this fruits doesnt grow in all the country so some of these are rare for a Lot of people

Dragonfruit and Rambuttan are some of my favorite fruits. Especially Dragonfruit because it's not that sugary but has such a fine texture it's so good

In my country sri Lanka we've got mangooteen,rambutan,jack fruit, and another fruit you didn't mention is jambu is really ordinary.. But durian is literally the king of fruit.. if u taste durian at least once it will definitely become your favorite fruit.. and also durian is very healthy..
