Thank you for a well done video. I have a question (lol); We have a FireTV television on Comcast with the voice remote, my wife needs to use the voice feature, what might the best way to do this so I use only ONE remote? Thank you
This video actually helped answer a question of mine. I got the new 4k running OS8 2 weeks ago and was wondering why I am missing so many options my OS 6 stick has. I see from the video that he has a Max on OS8 and it's also missing the same options as mine. Don't know why the new sticks didn't come with all the options already installed or why it's taking so long to get an update for them.
I installed the Firestick remote app on my Samsung phone, and it works good except for one thing. An IPTV app that I'm using requires a long press on the Enter key to display a menu. This works on the original Firestick remote, but not on the phone app. Any suggestions for this?
Excellent ! Wheni enable bluetooth on fire stick, can I still use bluetooth if not going through fire stick? My Samsung smart tv, (3 yrs old), does not have bluetooth! ?--FYI, my 18 yr old Chinese kickside phone had it!
hi there and thank you for the informative and concise video, i have subscribed , can you tell me how you get rid of the notification, pres and hold alexa to search with voice, please
Can you answer why my firestick/TV freezes up and will not turn on without unplugging it from the outlet? I back out of the app I'm watching every time and go to the home screen before turning it off, but 9 out of 10 times, I have to unplug it to reset the on /off switch.
OK, the smartphone app is crap and doesn't work, the remote burns through a set of batteries every day. The thing monitors, records, and sells all my data, then annoys the crap out of me with ads when I'm trying to use it. Why would I continue to have this? I bought one a year and a half ago, used it twice and threw it in a box, it's been there ever since. Supposedly, they replaced the remotes that were bad, but I was told that was no longer an available recall. Total waste, even at the sale price. Might root it and put another OS on it, but it's not really powerful enough to go through the hassle.
Any options to simplify the menu for my elderly parents, one with dementia? They just need RU-vid tv and a few others such as Netflix and discovery+. My dad is just pushing too many buttons and accidentally purchasing things.
I thought I tried this but it was 2nd gen fire stick and didn't work. I updated to the 4k like you said last video and couldn't be happier. Also you can trade equipment with Amazon. Thanks this very helpful.
If you deregister your firestick and give it to a family member when they register it. if you wanted to leave the apps on there for them will they lose all of the apps that were loaded on there when it was registered to me or will the firestick apps have to be side loaded all over again when they register it with their Amazon account?
I have to cut all power to my 65" Samsung Frame in order to get a brand new Firestick to recognise the Source on my TV . Incredibly inconvenient as power switches concealed under TV console. Previous Firestick did not have this problem - but that one got bricked by a Firestick update! Any ideas on how I fix this? Thanks.
Clearing cache is only recommended if the app is not working as cache is what helps apps opening up faster. Don't recommend clearing cache unless there's an issue 😊
Hello I just watched your video and learn a few things Thank you. I did notice that your fire stick showed you had (9.43 GB of 12.98 GB available and no USB storage is detected. how did you do this?
I have HD tv, 4k stick, 150 Mbps fibre. There's still a lot of lag watching hockey. When I use Bell streamer, the picture is very clear, never any lag. This tells me the issue is with the stick. I cleared cashe and all that. Any other thoughts or there?
Up to you, like you said if you have several fire tv devices you might benefit from it...all of you're recently watched stuff will sync and show on all your devices
